   Hostess & waitresses very nice. Food not so good. Had seafood casserole with mashed potatoes & salad. Salad very fresh everything else poor. Fish was fishy & not tasty at all. Portion very small for $40. Price would have been fine if quality was good but it was not. Mashed potatoes was not good. Looked like a big pancake. Almost fake plastic food looking & when I took some it all stuck together like a big blob. Restrooms not good. Will not be returning. Now I know why I have never been here or heard of this place & Ive live in area all my life. Sorry but this place is bad.

   I love Merrill’s. The food, ambience and service is top notch. However, we went in a day where resources were lacking, possibly due to call outs. The team did the best they could.

   The outstanding Easter buffet at Merrill’s is an event we always look forward to! The food quality and variety was excellent and our server Hailey was very attentive! Whether a night out, weekend or week day meal or their Sunday brunch there’s no better place in the New Bedford waterfront then Merrill’s!!

   We have requested a window table when we made reservations weeks ago. The hostess informed us none were available due to high volume of reservations. About 5 minutes after we were seated the window table by the bar emptied. It stayed empty during the venture time we were dining. I believe the hostess just didn’t care! We have made this request before on special buffet days and have never had an issue. On the other hand our waitress Hailey was outstanding!

We try to meet all our our guests requests/ notes in OpenTable, but sometimes are unable to. We’ll work to ensure better communication in the future.    Our server came over right away. Drinks were great and food came to the table nice and hot. Everything was delicious! We met 2 other couples who had never been there and they loved it! We’ll all be back.

   We had a party of 12. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Service was attentive and prompt. Food was excellent. Plus, love the view!

   We did go early for dinner, so the restaurant was quiet. The food and service was very good at a market price. Will go there again.

    We picked this place out of the blue. We came from RI and met family from NY that were staying in Dartmouth for the weekend. Food was excellent, service was great too. The bar area is kind of open to the dining area and when it was busy, it was loud. We were there at 7 and about 8:15 is when the bar area noise was at a normal level. Highly recommend and would go back again. It was worth the drive from RI.
