Terrible service all around... from the host to the waitress. I won’t be back any time soon.
We were ingnored once we entered and it took 15 minutes to be asked anything , food was nasty and not worth the money I paid for , only the valet service was good everything else was very poor.
Birthday celebration for mom, waitress was the best. Family loves to go here, it’s always a great experience.
Everything was great except the server seemed annoyed when we didn’t order drinks or large lunches.
Not a good experience at all food undercooked and cold wait staff unpleasant
Have been coming here for years and the food and service are still wonderful.! Cozy.
First visit and will be my last visit. Stuffed chicken was hard and not tasty. Mashed potatoes bland. Lemon drop horrible, dark and dusty decor. Back Stairs iced over and very hazardous and yes staff was aware.. the food was substandard, not as good as even red lobster for 3 times the cost. Blah....I left there hungry for a quality meal.
Excellent food and service!
We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Meriwether’s. We dine there frequently and are never disappointed! The food, service, and atmosphere were perfect!
Everything was great except the service. Some people shouldn't be in customer service if they have a problem with customers asking for something. You don't roll your eyes and walk away. Food excellent.
Amy was FABULOUS!!!!!
Server- Amy-very nice and professional
Food very good (fish)
I always love coming to Meriwether's. I've been going there for over 30 years. I still love the ambiance, the food, and the service. The fish is always fresh. The preparations are varied and delicious.
The food is consistently good, tho I did have a minor issue with my crab cake starter—nothing that affected the taste. I can’t get enough of the teacup bread! And our server was so great. I wish I could remember her name.
It was my first time visiting and I enjoyed the entire experience and would come back again.
Good food. The best clam chowder.i have ever had. Prime rib was very very good. Will visit again.
I took my dad here for his 90th birthday, he and my mother used to go often when we were younger. The food was good for the most part. The potatoes were cold, the filet was a perfect medium rare. The waitress brought out a birthday dessert for him which was nice. I would go back again.
Dinner was very slow to arrive even though the restaurant was almost empty. Food was very overdone. The wonderful tea cup rolls they used to have are now just white rolls in a tea cup, although the butter spread was very good. Waitress was pleasant, but slow and didn't Costco back to see if we needed anything else. Overall, not a good experience, we won't be back.
The foods are delicious. You get what you pay for. Service our server Ralayshia is marvelous. Well informed, polite going above and beyond her duty.
Meriwether's is an excellent fine-dining restaurant. I have been going there for many years. I have taken customers for lunch, had birthday lunches and dinners, girlfriend lunches and drinks and appetizers. They have a diverse menu and everything is delicious, especially their "Teacup Bread," which is baked in a tea cup and comes standard at every table. Overall, the atmosphere is very elegant.
Food was not warm and the food lacked essential seasoning. Our polite waitress was the highlight of the dining experience. I would NOT recommend this restaurant on New Year's Eve.
The food was very good and the service was great will be going back
The food was good, the service was good, but we were put in an area where they have just varnish the tables and it ruined one of our friends sweater. They said that they would replace it if necessary. So we’re still waiting to see what the outcome was. They did not come up our meal though or do anything special they just said they would try to correct their mistake.
We thoroughly enjoyed a birthday dinner for 5. The waitress was very pushy about ordering larger quantities and more of everything. That was the only thing that did not contribute to a great meal.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Merriweather's after many years of absence. With our OpenTable reservation, we were seated right away. We sat in the fireplace room which was small and became noisy after filling up. Amy, our server, was engaging and knowledgeable. The food was excellent - they even gave us extra potatoes instead of veggies. We will be back.
Food was ok, but the environment was extremely cold; therefore defeated the purpose of being there. Wish I had known about this, if I would did, I would not have come.
I love eating at Meriwethers. Our first date was there 16 years ago. We came back and took a stroll down memory lane. Love the food and ambiance. It is such a special place for the two of us.
Our lunch was perfect, a wonderful balance of amazing food and service. They seated us next to the fireplace, which was perfect because it was a very cold day. Their warm bread, the bronzed salmon and the special of the day, blackened whitefish, were delicious. Everyone loved their food!
I had never been there before, but I will definitely be going back!
Great food and service. However, the $9 Titos and tonics were a bunch of ice and tonic - extremely dissatisfied in the drinks. When you're paying for a nice night out, you expect everything to be top notch; it wasn't.
Best seafood and steaks in metro Detroit. Great for a date, or business lunch. Well worth the price.
