About Meriwether's Restaurant & Skyline Farm
One way to make sure you’re cooking with the freshest ingredients is to grow them yourself. Meriwether’s grows the produce it serves at its own Skyline Farm and is proud to be among only a handful of truly farm-to-table restaurants across the country. Chef Michael Delaney's menus are inspired by the Willamette Valley’s peak-of-the-season abundance, matching our harvest with some of the finest raw ingredients in the world, from the farmers, fishers and ranchers of the Pacific Northwest.
Inside, experience our warm and cozy ambiance with stone fireplaces, hardwood floors, stained glass and copper accents. Outside, guests dine year-round in the covered, heated & enclosed patio, gardens & gazebo. There is even an outdoor fire-pit, so perfect for a chilly Portland evening. Take a walk through our gorgeous all-season garden that surrounds the entire 2601 Vaughn Street historic building.

Meriwether's Restaurant & Skyline Farm Ratings and Reviews
A delightful experience as always where soul-soothing, scratch made food was encompassed by admirable customer-centric service in a welcoming dining space. Given that we were there for a birthday celebration, it was a sweet touch to be seated near the fireplace to accent the overall experience. Thank you!
Meriwether's did not disappoint! We have had dinner several times over the last few years. The service is always impeccable. We enjoy the specialty cocktails, and appreciate that the menu has unusual items that are delicious without the being priced unfairly.
We reserved (we thought) for lunch, based on the on-line lunch menu. We were greatly disappointed to find that on Saturday and Sunday there is no lunch service, only brunch. The menu is totally different. Otherwise, the food we ordered (which was not what we looked forward to having) was okay, as was the service.
the 4 of us have met here annually for lunch. This time we did not think the food up to other visits. 2 had fish and chips, the batter not crispy and too thick. French fries also not crispy. Lamb Ragu was oily and very little lamb in the sauce. Quiche ok, a bit overcooked for me, side salad on plate didn't seem like fresh greens and not particularly crisp. Service was great but all in all , we no longer find it a good value. One reason we have met there is the fireplace, the parking lot is great ( 2 people come from Vancouver, a straight shot), but we are also desirous of good food and good value.
The food was superb, the salad the best ever! And I am not a “salad guy” according to my wife. Albeit many claim to be, this is really a farm to table place. Nice Happy Hour bar atmosphere too. Great for special occasions, but we are planning to return without one.
Great atmosphere and friendly and very attentive staff. DEFINITELY want to make reservations. The menu is small but gave a variety of different options, something for everyone. The Sunday brunch is busy but worth it. The best fresh orange juice i have ever had!
My wife and I arrived earlier than other groups that were seated in the same dining room, so we got the best spot in front of the fireplace, which was the perfect temperature. Our food and service was amazing, my water glass was refilled by the manager, who came around often to see that all guests were well taken care of. The food gets better and better each time I return, very nice experience every time.
A very nice restaurant. Service and food were excellent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Menus are apparently seasonal in design. The fact that they have their own parking lot was a pleasant surprise. It's something you don't usually find with an in-city restaurant. We definitely look forward to going back.
I've been to Meriweather's a few times in the past few years but haven't been in a year or so. I had an old business friend from out of town visit, and took a colleague to have lunch with him. I was disappointed in the menu. I thought I had remembered Meriweather's had unique dishes supporting local farms. The menu was typical pub food. Hamburger, halibut fish and chips, nothing unique or special at all. The food was fine, the beer on tap was fine, the location and ambience is great. Parking was good even for lunchtime on a Friday. Just super disappointed the menu wasn't more inspiring especially as I wanted to give our visiting friend something special.
I enjoyed the great ambiance and a fine luncheon meal during my visit to Portland. I was promptly greeted and then seated by the fireplace (a choice location, in my view). Meriwether's was suggested as worth a visit by a friend from the East Coast, and based upon my experience I can also pass along to others that I had a favorable experience overall and an especially delicious farm to table meal. Cordial and attentive staff.
i have come in all seasons and have been delighted to share the farm produce in different seasons. Eating out in the garden on a warm summer evening is very special. The food is always good and the service is outstanding.
Go and try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
We had a wonderful dinner at Meriwethers. The food was outstanding and our waitress was fabulous.
My main disappointment: This was the second time we ate here and both times we were seated on the landing. This is a busy spot as the servers were rushing by all the time. I hope next time we are seated in the main dining room.
Second time that I have been here in last 6 mos. Used to be a favorite. The menu is too brief and not interesting. The prices are too high in my opinion for the value received. The dishes are frankly boring and are pretty average. Service is good and the waitstaff is helpful and knowledgeable. Also, I may not fully understand the economics of restaurant management but the wine list for bottled wine offered nothing really within a reasonable price range - most were north of $75 - $100.
Our evening did not start well, we were forgotten in the bar even though I had reservations. When I checked at the desk I was told that our table was being cleared, we were eventually seated at a table that was set when we had arrived 40 minutes earlier. Our waiter was excellent and attentive, some of the staff however need more training about how to serve so they do not reach across a customer or the table to serve someone on the other side or pick up or return a customers glass by the top. Our food was very good and arrived as ordered, the menu was varied so all four of us were able to find a dinner that was to our liking. Overall an enjoyable evening even with the problems.
I had not eaten here in a while, but remembered it being delicious the last time I came. Our party of five all enjoyed different entrees and they were all amazing! I will definitely be back. I love their outdoor, covered seating with the heat lamps. The fresh air while dining is just awesome.
