We had a seven o’clock reservation before 9pm fireworks. We barely made it to fireworks because the service was so incredibly slow. At 8:15 we asked if our food would be out and we would be done before fireworks, and the waiter said, “well your food’s been ready for a while we’re just waiting to plate it.” This tracks as every dish was cold. Cold, mushy fries, lukewarm entrees, salmon. So, so disappointing. What should have been a nice night was stressful wondering if we would get out of there on time, and then the food was barely edible, and we had to rush to choke it down. I get that it was busy for fourth, but you should be expecting that.

The baby rack ribs were amazing and SO much food (my sister said best ribs she's ever had)! I had rigatoni with meatballs- huge portion and very good. The best of the night was the smores dessert. Not as rich as I thought it might be, perfect portion for two. VERY YUMMY! Our server was very nice, but service was somewhat slow, not sure if because of July 3 celebration at the hotel or not.

We had a great experience at Meritage! Alex, our server was very informative about the food options. He was attentive & quick to get us everything we asked for. The food was delicious as well. I got the steak frites & just suggest getting it cooked medium if you like medium rare. Alex took care of things by putting it back on the grill for a minute or so! Overall, we really liked this place!
