   This is our fourth time visiting Merit Grill in two months. We are interested in supporting local businesses. The menu is great, the food is better and wait staff is the best.

   We went there for the first time over Valentine's Day. It was an off day there for many reasons, some of them out of their control. They apologized and invited us back on their dime. When we went back, we had a totally different experience and it was delightful. We had the same waitress as the first time and shared laughs with her. Our dinners were very good. They have some innovative entrees and I would return to try more of them. They don't have a notable wine list. I would recommend to them that they augment their offering. Loved their mushroom soup. Our steaks were very good.

   Was really surprised at this unobtrusive spot. Really wonderful food and service, is definitely a repeat dining experience.

   This was my fifth visit to the Merit Grill. Until Tuesday evening, I was very excited about the restaurant but something was definitely missing on Tuesday. Four out of five times I have ordered the California burger with Fries. This time, the original potatoes that were previously cut in the restaurant and not cut like French Fries, were precut, cold and not nearly as good. My friend ordered pasta with chicken and bacon but there was no bacon in sight. Sorry, but a little deflated. Will try again, though, because I want it to be good.

   Excellent atmosphere, very relaxed and tasteful. Leans towards fine dining in an affordable price range. And with all that, the food is excellent as well; the chef normally has a special that is definitely the entree to order.

   Great experience. What a hidden gem. Phenomenal atmosphere, great service, even better food. Great presentation. Classy place. Love it -- we will be back soon.

   My wife and I decided to book a reservation for Merit Grill on Valentine's Day. They were definitely busy due to the holiday, and the chef actually came out to the front table to apologize for being backed up to those customers with reservations. We didn't have to wait very long though to get seated. The interior is dark, but inviting and comfortable. You would never know that the building was originally a Friendly's from the interior. Our server was very nice, and while she did not have a knowledge of the beers on tap, she did get advice from the bartender. They had a very nice selection of wine. The menu was limited for Valentine's Day, which is perfectly understood. We started with the bourbon barrel mushroom soup. Wow was that good. Highly recommended. I ordered the Steak Oscar (medium rare) and my wife ordered a smoked chicken pasta dish. The presentation of my steak was beautiful, but it was closer to medium than medium rare. Our server came by fairly soon after we were served and insisted on getting me a new steak that was cooked properly. The chef himself brought the new one out and it was perfect. The staff here are busting their humps to make this a memorable experience, and I'd highly recommend them.
