The waitress we had was super friendly and nice! Food was delicious and they had a treat for the birthday boy
Pre Saints Game Brunch
Fantastic experience overall. You could tell from the constant 'sparklers & pink cotton candy' desert dish being served that the majority of folks went to Meril's for a birthday celebration. The crowd was diverse, but the majority seemed to be locals from the number of kiddos, teenagers and entire families present. The servers were outstanding and the ambience was a 10. A little pricey, but well worth it to have a fine dining experience outside of the crush of the French Quarter.
Overall very nice however seemed a little rushed.
Fantastic food, drinks, and service. Would highly recommend!
Great, as always.
Awesome as always!
Meril is the best place for a quiet, intimate dinner. The menu is extensive, but not overwhelming. Service and staff is always on point and attentive. 10/10 would recommend.
Everyone was kind and friendly
The half of roasted chicken w/ au jus is just a little bit to much au jus. Maybe a half a cup of au jus
Lunch before Saints game. Great time. Always try to come there.
Front and back house does a great job. Will be back.
Casual dining with impeccable service and delicious food. One of my staples for bringing out-of-towners for a business/personal lunch or dinner!
Awesome meal and service
Fun late night spot. Not a huge menu selection, but intersting items. They do a food job with the birthday dessert. Would recommended for dining with friends or a casual date.
Amazing food! We ordered mostly apps and they were all delicious.
Played GREAT Music !
Always great.
Excellent food. Service was superb. Since experience was during COVID restrictions it is difficult to have any sense of normal ambience and noise level.
The service and food were outstanding! The building was uncomfortably cold. Difficult to relax and enjoy when we were both cold.
Great experience as usual
We enjoyed our meal Sunday night. We were celebrating our son's 27th birthday. We had a nice table in the corner which made it a little more "private." And the birthday candle /cotton candy were great! Our server was very nice and personable and the young lady serving drinks was especially nice and friendly. (I'm sorry I don't remember names)
We will definitely be back!
We were looking for a restaurant away from the Bourbon Street area so we could have a quiet, relaxing dinner. We found exactly that at Meril. The food and drinks were excellent, as was the service. We would definitely go back and highly recommend. Possibly the best meal of our entire trip to New Orleans.
Staff was helpful and friendly. Very accommodating. I had Mushroom Maggie's Farm pasta - delicous! Just wish the portion was a little bit bigger. The Korean shortribs were also delicious!
Very unique place to celebrate a birthday with their sparkler/cotton candy board delivered to your table! Service was superb! Menu had an interesting selection from fancy to ordinary. Great wine/cocktail selections. Just an all around fun experience.
New year’s dinner. Last minute plans of course. At 3pm e decided to eat out. They had a spot. Service was excellent. The BEST MEATBALL I’VE EVER HAD. seriously I could’ve just eaten a bowl of those. Hubby’s steak au poivre was tender and flavorful. I had a salad and the meatballs. You didn’t need a sale or pepper shaker. The only thing we weren’t super impressed with were the deviled eggs. We couldn’t taste any devil in ‘em. But they were beautiful.
I had made the reservation for Meril's for NYE a couple of weeks in advance of our dinner. However, we were sat at the very back of the restaurant next to one of the kitchen doors (not in use). While it was somewhat entertaining to see the kitchen in full swing, it did take away from the lovely, sophisticated part of the restaurant. Our server was tremendous and even quietly and without any fanfare brought my husband some soda water and a napkin after she observed him trying to wipe chocolate from his shirt. Also, my husband had to send back his steak, which was ordered medium rare and delivered to our table medium to medium well ... there was almost no pink left it in. They did remake it without hesitation but it was now delivered rare. I was also VERY sad that they did not offer Banana Cream Pie :(
The restaurant is lovely and my food was simply divine, which was Black Bass and Brussels Sprouts.
Very good food and pretty festive considering we're in the middle of a pandemic. We were at a bar table, so it wasn't ideal, but it was a hell of a lot more fun than watching Guy Lombardo......
We visit Meril nearly every time we visit New Orleans! Always delicious and so much fun! One of my favorites!
Meril was AMAZING!!! Started with oysters and had the mushroom gnudi as an entree. One of my favorite meals of all time! And the service was impeccable! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. They really make you feel at home.
Very good food! Always the best small plates. Hard to hear our waitress with noise and mask.
It was fine, nothing special. Our waitress gave us great recommendations, nothing wowed us though. The food sounded more inventive than it actually was. Mostly small plates. We would go back but aren’t in a hurry to.
Great food. Poor service.
Slow service .. wasn’t that impressed
Korean wings are excellent along with the upside down cornbread.
Food was delicious! The salted caramel ice cream was amazing!
Great staff and very attentive. You can tell that they are well compensated because the service is second to none!
The atmosphere is great and our food was delicious. Service was attentive but not too much.
Meril never disappoints, we’ve been 4 times and they’ve been great every time.
Excellent food; the Brussels sprouts and pasta dishes we ordered were outstanding. Tasty libations. Pleasant, casual (and hygienic) environment. Excellent service. Great place for celebratory birthday lunch!
Fabulous restaurant! Great relaxed atmosphere, excellent service, excellent food!
