Meril has become WAY too loud, it’s like going to a meal in a club. Don’t remember it being that way the first few times I ate there. Could not even hear our waiter and could barely hear my dining companions.
Value - Prices seem quite high for the portion sizes. $40+ for what was probably 5oz. of ribeye and fries? C’mon man!
Food - There was not a single course - out of 7 - that absolutely hit the mark. Well, maybe the pocket bread.
First and foremost, the food was amazing, so delicious. Our server was friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. For us, dining out can be somewhat stressful, my daughter has a severe egg allergy. They went above and beyond. They made safe suggestions for her, took her preferences into account and then double checked with the kitchen. The only issue my daughter had was her eyes were bigger than her stomach. Our waitress even surprised her with a safe dessert!
The ambiance is lovely, the cocktails superb, they take wonderful care of their guests with or without allergies and the food….the food was everything you’d want and expect from an Emeril’s restaurant! Thank you!
The staff and service were great and the food excellent and reasonably priced. Rashid and Chris served us and took great care of us.
AMAZING! This place is an EXPERIENCE, from the cool music quietly playing in the background to the super fun servers to the variety of seating (the counter is awesome because you can watch all the food being made), to the food & drink choices. Love it, love it, love it!
Delicious food and great service. My daughter has celiac and they brought a menu of what is GF for her to eat. Will definitely go back!
Matt & Tony were great. Matt’s recommendations were fantastic.
Fun, shared food dining experience. A Saints fan restaurant with great service and food.
Your buying the name a lot of better restaurants in the area! Food was not mind blowing unfortunately !
The menu is limited but as with any Emerill restaurant, the food was fresh and flavorful. I think Meril is probably exactly what it was intended to be, a restaurant that hits the common flavors and interests of many. My biggest issue was the price paid. For a flatbread with a little meat and cheese I paid $18. For about 8 oz of Gumbo I paid $9. So it wasn't out of control but it is a bit high priced for the limited amount of food you get. My wife ordered an appetizer of "tuna bundles" and an omlet with crab added. To drink she had a Diet Coke and I had water. Total with 20% tip was $105.00, and I walked out of there a little hungry.
Wonderful experience as always!
Good and service were excellent. The host was mysteriously cold and almost rude. However, the waitress more than made up for the warm friendly atmosphere and the food was amazing!
A local favorite, always excellent food and excellent service. We enjoy this as one of of favorites when we visit NOLA
We booked Meril for our anniversary dinner. Matt our waiter was excellent, paid attention to us and made sure we didn’t want for anything. We ordered gumbo and cheese skillet as appetizers and Greek salad and Trout for dinner. Everything was prepared as described and tasted wonderful. I would recommend Meril for dinner.
Fun night out with friends celebrating a birthday
Meril's is amazing!!! Food is fantastic, atmosphere is great and our waiter was awesome also!!!!
The food was delicious, the servers young, energetic, and personable, and the atmosphere fun. Highly recommend Meril!
Amazing food! Great service! Would definitely return
Great service and great place to go for a family birthday
Dinner with a buddy I hadn’t seen in about 5 years
Enjoyed the food (steak frites, meatballs and Mexican corn), dessert and atmosphere (they celebrated our anniversary w cotton candy and sparkler) very much. The only thing that surpassed them was the staff: extremely attentive and engaging. From the moment we walked in the door until we left, we felt genuinely appreciated.
Excellent service by everyone who worked there. Awesome food. Would definitely go back.
Ran out of many menu items
Manager could care less
Awful experience as 6 people had to switch main menu items or appetizers as they ran out
We took a group of 8 friends to Meril for our last night in NOLA. It was my 4th or 5th time there over the years. One of the negatives to guaranteed % tip for large groups is that they often ghost you and this somewhat happened. We waited significant amounts of time to order our apps and entrees and waits between were large. They were also out of about 10 things on the menu, but post-Ida we understand about this happening. As usual, what food we did have was great, especially the gumbo.
Wonderful experience all around. Staff was friendly and professional. The standout items we ordered were the cauliflower special, meatballs, and tuna.
The food and service were great. Really enjoyed the pineapple upside-down cornbread with bacon jam as an appetizer.
It was everything that I expected! I especially enjoyed the wait staff as they explained so many things to us. Would definitely go again!
Portions are a bit on the small side and I am not a big eater.
Service was excellent.
Always a hit !
The hostess greeted us and checked that we had a reservation and then started playing with her phone. I asked her— are we waiting for the others? She’s said “uh huh” without looking up from her phone. I said “we are going to go to the bar then.” She said “OHHH- K!” Quite rude!
I’ve been to Meril a million times and often would meet there for business lunches— great spot. It was really an awful welcome. My waiter was also very jittery and rushed our 6 top through ordering. It’s just not the Meril I am used to. I dropped a pretty penny on dinner for my family and it was not a great experience
I marked a 3 as I was expecting more from an Emeril restaurant. As expected the service was fantastic and the team were attentive and worked as a team. The food was just average. My wife had a steak $45 that was flavorful but very chewy, my ribs slid off the bone however the sauce was simple. The one thing that was good was it was not saucy or messy. My gumbo was warm but not hot. They followed vaccine check protocol which was a nice experience as some of the restaurants do not
The other items that were being delivered looked good. I may try those next time instead.
Been here several times. Service today was horrible, literally too much to mention. Food was great as always though
Always delicious, festive, and a pleasure to dine at Meril!
Damion and the staff were amazing.
We had a wonderful time at Meril’s for our Two Year Anniversary! The staff was very thoughtful, greeting us with Happy Anniversary - as well as attentive! They also brought out a complimentary cotton candy and sparkler to celebrate (the sparkler went out before I could snap a picture). The food was delicious: we had the fish dip, fettuccine nero, one of the specials (a seafood pasta), and baked skillet cookie!! Fun evening and fantastic food!
The food was pretty good, but the potions sizes were so small, abs we were still hungry afterwards.
Great service, good selection, and the food was outstanding. The two standouts were the crispy cauliflower and the burger.
Our server Kiawajuana was AMAZING! She was so sweet, constantly checking in our table and being sure we were satisfied! She kept our entire table rolling in laughter with her jokes. She is brutally honest about the food and how well the drinks are! GREAT GREAT GREAT!
Wow Wow Wow! There wasn't one thing we didn't love! The wait staff was top notch and the whole experience was perfect. My son and I don't get a lot of time together these days and it was a meal we will both remember! I've already told strangers they should eat at Meril!
We visited shortly after the reopened following Hurricane Ida, so I'm sure their menu was not as varied as it normally is, but that did not matter. We found great variety of options, each one delicious (get the cornbread!!!), and portions were very solid. Would absolutely return as our entire visit was wonderful.
