I have been to Meril several times, but this was my first time since before Covid and wow what a difference. The food was ok, the service terrible & the prices were crazy! I’m so sad & disappointed as this used to be such a great spot.
Food and service was outstanding! We will definitely be going back when we’re in New Orleans.
Food and service have really stepped up from our last visit. Meril’s you s our “go to” for friends from out of town because it’s such a nice introduction to the food and restaurants downtown.
Our last visit wasn’t as much fun so we were DELIGHTED that this visit was such a success!
I ordered the lamp chops, the special on Saturday night. They were out, which is totally understandable especially since our reservation was later than normal. I got the ribeye instead and asked for medium. Even though the flavor of the steak was delicious, it was cooked to more of a well done. Everything else was on par with what we have come to expect from Meril's...still our favorite!
We absolutely enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant and will be dinning there again!!!
Our waitress, Lauren, was fabulous and attentive as usual.
Awesome birthday dinner. Cotton candy was a treat!
Service was great but the food was not. The chicken dish was the chicken only for $25. Hardly any meat.
The iced tea tasted like fountain Brisk iced tea.
Dessert wasn’t anything to write home about.
Sat at the counter. View of kitchen. Excellent pizzza bread, Korean chicken appetizers. Main dish was excellent chicken pressed with garlic. Overall very nice venue, wait staff!
Great food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Great food and service! A must dine while in New Orleans!
Food was great I did not get enough to eat we left Hungary.
Super! Waiter was terrific. Food and drink were great. General Manager gave us a lot of personal attention. We loved every second of our experience.
Everything was exceptional. Had the Sunday specials Fried Chicken meal and Banana cream pie.
Always first class and delicious !
Atmosphere and food was freaking amazing! Marcus took us on a food journey and the experience was splendid.
We have been several times for dinner but this was our 1st time for brunch and it was just as wonderful. The service was outstanding and every dish we tried was better than the next. We will definitely be back for brunch again.
The restaurant isn’t stuffy but very nice, we lucked out to sit near the open kitchen where the chefs were laughing. The food was phenomenal and perfectly cooked. Such a great experience to have with my son.
We have eaten at Meril before and this night was not at all like the other times. It took a long time for our waiter to begin our evening. Our food was okay. The ribs had bones difficult to maneuver when dining with old friends. Our friends ordered the pasta to go along with the Mahi Mahi and said that the pasta dish was not at all up to Meril’s standards. The Mahi Mahi was okay but very unexpected to be sitting on basically refried black beans with a bunch of crispy skinny tortilla strips that look like something you get on a fast food dish. Our flatbread was okay and the desserts were okay, but nothing stood out as an oh wow. Maybe just an off night for them.
Waiter was nonexistent. Luckily his helper Rasheed saved the day.
Nice meal and drinks.
Incredible food made perfect by the impeccable service! We dined with two children ages 10 and 2 who were treated like royalty by the staff. From start to finish, our entire meal was delicious, our kids were happy and our impromptu anniversary celebration was so much better than we had planned. Do not skip the banana cream pie!!!
Foo was cold . The steak was dry . Over all food was not good at all .
The baked oysters excellent. The meatballs sauce extremely salty. Whole baked fish excellent. The other two fish dishes were excessively salty also
The food was amazing, the staff was quick and courteous. If you go, get the pineapple upside down cornbread! It is spectacular!
Best service, food, and overall restaurant experience I’ve ever had.
Amazing celebration dinner for my son’s birthday. Service was impeccable, the food was amazing, and the special birthday treat provided by the restaurant was a showstopper! Highly recommend.
Service was great, good was delicious, and overall great date night.
Great experience! Food was delicious. Had ribs and spaghetti and meatballs. Tropical lushie was yum.
Side note… we weren’t celebrating a birthday but 2 people at tables around us were… brought them cotton candy with a super cool sparkler to celebrate!
All good. Great selection of everything. Good time. Great cocktails.
Wonderful being back in Nola and felt very welcomed by the staff. Can’t wait until Emeril’s other restaurants reopen. We’ll be back a heartbeat.
Food was great, not to pricey snd portions were perfect. Everything was ala carte. There wasn’t a small side salad to pair with my pasta that wasn’t under $12. Wine was over priced. Paid $10 a glass for a bottle retail price of $9.99. Worse part was the noise level. You practically had to yell to be heard at your table.
Dinner for 5 turned into an almost 3 hr dinner with a 1 hr wait between appetizers and entrees with little to no communication from wait staff. My entree was lukewarm by the time it came to the table. Just took way too long
We had the Sunday special, which was a lot of food. The server offered that the two of use share it because of the amount. However, my dining partner and I are local; so, we could take the excess home with us. I had some of the leftovers the next day and they were just at good. I appreciated the server's suggestion. If we were visiting, it would have a waste to have so much food that we wouldn't be able to store in our hotel. The cocktails were especially tasty too!
We are regulars and we come here a lot. Service is always perfect. Shout out to Lana she was awesome last night.
Meril was awesome! We were there for Sunday brunch and it was great. The menu had many good choices for both food and beverages. The service was wonderful- the team took excellent care of us, just attentive enough. We can’t say enough about the food, good sized portions and excellent quality. We’ll be going back very soon.
Food portions were small…..too small.
I wasn’t overwhelmed with the food and that is why I have such a low review.
I’d try other restaurants in New Orleans.
It was so noisy we couldn’t hear each other at our table. We went at 5:00 thinking it was early and it wouldn’t be to loud. Wrong!
