Located at the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort.
Meridia is a GEM! We usually do not eat at Westin hotel restaurants since they are mediocre. We discovered this amazing restaurant while staying at the Westin Hapuna on a previous trip. We went dine there several nights during our stay. On this last visit, we drove from another property to dine here. The food is unique- blends Italian and Hawaiian. The service is top notched and the ambience is fantastic.
Absolutely delicious and wonderful service. I wish the table lanterns used a softer light - a little fluorescent for me....cold light. But that’s pretty picky. I’ll definitely return.
It’s just a sort of a large breakfast room of an XXL Marriott hotel.
Half the menu was not available due to no chef tonight ( a Tuesday ) another waiter told us their was in fact no chef at all since a month and the actual paid by the hours staff are not cooks ...
Just look at my Pictures .. it’s nothing as advertised to be a sort of an Italy’s trattoria as marketed ..
It’s Not Italy inspired of recommended by anyone Italian .. it’s not Hawaiian either .. it’s an XXL Marriott ‘world food’ very large cafeteria style restaurant ..
You probably noticed on open table also that their is so many 5 stars comments but suspiciously all from Hawaii to it .. wait staff only have recently a dozen applause..
Thank you and have a great day !!
Service was outstanding. Extremely friendly and helpful. View is fantastic as most tables are outside overlooking the ocean.
Had dinner at meridia for my Moms birthday and it was our second time dining there this trip. Everything was so good!
As always, Meridia did not disappoint. The food and service are consistently good. The location is amazing.
Where do I begin..View is spectacular. Food is excellent. The wait staff is the best I have had in a long time...Can’t go wrong with this place. Just make sure the trade winds aren’t blowing.
Excellant all around! We will be back! 6 stars
Server was attentive but not intrusive.
Fabulous food, incredible views, wonderful wait staff. Everything was perfect!! Loved it!
Beautiful location and setting. Tables are set up to take advantage of natural views of ocean. Service is gracious and helpful. Food is fantastic.
A wonderful evening watching the sunset with our favorite cocktails to start. Appetizers, dinner, and dessert....every bite was savored. This is a very special place to go, whether it’s for a small celebratory dinner for two, or a larger affair. You will not be disappointed.
Our waitress was wonerful, suggested a special the chef was making that day.it was wonderful! Table on patio, great experience
Incredible atmosphere! Expensive but that’s Hawai’i. A must-go if you’re staying nearby!
Yummy always great food service and view
The food is always amazing and you can ask for a more beautiful setting
Everything is ALWAYS perfect. Staff is great and substitutions can be made if my father who was with me could not have carbohydrates.
We’ve dined her three nights out of seven . Johnathon our server is on top of his game. Food is awesome. Best dining experience of our trip. My try it one more time before heading back to the mainland.
Food was excellent. Nice ambiance as well.
Had paella on Valentines and it was delicious. Went back a few days later and had fish and shared the pork chop with my wife. Both were great. Wait staff welcomed us both visits and were friendly and attentive
We live in the area and eat at Meridia frequently. It is the best restaurant on the island, and that comes from a former Director of Food & Beverage. (I rarely rave about restaurants.) We never have been disappointed with anything there. Outstanding food and exceptional service.
Food and service is awesome . If you bring your own wine, expect to pour for yourself which makes the 40.00 corkage fee seem out of line. Otherwise a great place to eat when in the area. Great sunset views and an overall wonderful dining experience.
Everything from start to finish was magical. The Paella was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The waitstaff was superbly attentive and the ambiance was spectacular.
Our first visit to the newly revamped Hapuna Resort premier restaurant. Was not disappointed! Service was outstanding, the menu was varied and with a terrific wine list. Loved the Tapas style dishes. We tried several, and each was tasty and well presented. Will definitely be back!
Elizabeth made us feel very special for a birthday dinner! Loved the food and the beautiful view.
We had our valentine's day dinner here and it was fantastic. The food was amazing and the staff was great. The ambiance was beautiful and peaceful. It was pretty quiet even with a packed house. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous. It was a the perfect romantic dinner for our valentine's day and we couldn't have hoped for anything better. It will be a great memory that will be with us forever. Our compliments to the chef and the staff. A+
It was above and beyond, we had a party of 13, most had not been there and beyond their expectations!!
A beautiful location, amazing views. The 2 dishes we orders could have been great except the true flavors were drowned out by the base which did not compliment the main ingredient. Beautiful scallops on tomato based shredded potatoes. Very salty. The other dish was ago tuna, served in a thick teriyaki glaze. We asked for wasabi,it never came. The waitress was working so many tables I can’t fault her, she was amazing.overall, too expense for the quality of good.
We sat overlooking Hupuna beach and had an unrestricted view of the sunset from our table. Our server (Judy) did everything for us and I would always ask for her. At the end of the meal, she brought us a full box of Hawaiian chocolate covered macadamia nuts. Food was excellent! As a bonus, near the end of dinner we had a great view of an amazing group of Hawaiian dancers that were putting on a private show below us.
I so wanted to love this meal & I will clarify, we are foodies. We travel all over the world and enjoy good food.I was excited when I opened the menu and it was different. We started with beet & heirloom tomato salad with goat cheese. It seemed like an odd combo but tried it. It wasn't bad, just different. We had bacon wrapped dates & manchego, all of which we love, but the manchego was a bit overpowering to the dates. Again, different, not awful, still enjoyed them, probably would try again, knowing what to expect. I was excited & ordered the Branzino , my husband the Heritage pork chop. The chop arrived and it was almost as big as a tomahawk steak...huge! The pork chop was breaded and had been deep fried. It was so greasy! Why deep fry Heritage pork?! The saffron risotto under it, tasted metalic. So disappointed! My branzino looked nice, however, the herbs they used on the skin overpowered the fish and it needed salt. They put the hot fish on top of the green salad & tomatoes, which made the salad warm and soggy and the 5 chunks of Yukon gold potatoes were so hard and dry, I would've thought they were frozen like cheap breakfast potatoes. Again, so disappointing. The service was good, the view beautiful and the Hapuna Westin lovely. I I told my husband I wanted to book this hotel for our next trip and he said "Why? The food is awful!" I'm hoping to try another restaurant there in hopes of having a better experience somewhere else.
Beautiful setting right on the ocean. Varied menu and good wines. Service is excellent, although we had to slow her down as we wanted to enjoy the scene.
Foie gras with beignets was deeelicious!
Nice location, friendly staff ... good food but generally overly salty ... not unexpectedly the prices reflected the resort location
Lovely restaurant! They have a nice Mediterranean menu. The food and service were excellent! We got a few salad and the whole fish. Everything was great.
This was our second time to the restaurant. Reuben was our fantastic server and the food was spectacular. Great place, keep it up!
Excellent service and dining suggestions from Ruben, our server. Good food, interesting preparations, and a beautiful setting.
Top notch food, will come back. Gets high rating for all things but disappointed in table location.
My wife and I visited the restaurant on our last night in Hawaii for our farewell dinner. We were seated outside at a great table and were provided menus, bread, and water. It started to rain and we along with everyone else who was seated outside were asked to find a new table under cover.
We sat at our new table and watched the people around us receive service and new customers seated and waited on. We were ignored. I want to the wait stand and complained. They agreed to have the Manager stop by our table. He apologized and took our drink order and promised to have someone wait on us. A waitress appeared and indicated she did not know we were assigned to her. She apologized and promised to take good care of us.
Our final bill did not include our drinks and they did not charge for my wife’s appetizer which she had hardly touched because she was still upset about being ignored.
