Mercy Wine Bar
Wonderful place to enjoy a sip and engaged in conversation. Great staff with the vibrant atmosphere. Definitely will be back.
I had a very good time, very casual and relaxed on a Sunday night.
We absolutely love this place. It’s great if you are looking to break from the monotony of going to bars. The live music aspect is priceless also. My only “complaint” is that they change up the wine menu to be categorized by wine type. That would make it easier to decide on a wine to buy.
Mercy Wine Bar- greatest happy hour for wine lovers. Food is really good- cheeses, flat breads, fish.
The live music starts around 8:00, so you can sip and enjoy!
Food was just ok. Service was just ok. Nothing special. Probably my last visit there despite nee covered patio out front.
Excellent food and service.
We celebrated New Years Day and we had
Amazing food, wine and service.
Thank you all,
Excellent service and great place to have a night out. Yellow and red pepper flat bread was amazing with the steak added on.
I enjoyed my. Decent service, good wine and I love the atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back for happy hour.
Great place for music, food and wine!
I had so much fun. It was a great night out with my girls to celebrate my birthday.
Mercy Wine bar offers an excellent locale for a cozy ambiance along with great jazz and dining options!
I had a great time with the staff and the wine selections were wonderful.
Great ambiance service and food
We usually have a fantastic experience, the food was just not quite right, the music was perfect, we’ll be back!
It was perfect. My girlfriend loved it. Thank you
Our service and the food was beyond our expectations. It was perfect romantic date night experience. Especial by the house band after 8pm on a friday playing classic hits.
we have never been disappointed by the mercy wine bar. It is typically quiet and cozy. We love sharing the appetizers and salads. The wine selection is very good and every glass we have had has been outstanding. The wait staff are attentive but not ever present; they know the menu and the wine and are always pleasant and helpful.
The wine and appetizers were very good. The service was spotty and we often felt neglected. Our food order was not delivered without a reminder to a passing waiter who then found and delivered it. Music was wonderful and I will give it one more try.
Eveything was perfect from the service, food, bamd playing, to the WINE selection! Loved Mercy!
Husband loves the nude ladies photos in the bathroom and the food. Great wine
Mercy is a great date night place to make the evening feel special. The food, wine and service are all fantastic!
Mercy is a great place for food, wine, and entertainment! They have an amazing wine selection and offer good advice. Chad provides outstanding service.
Had dinner here with my son. Our server Steven was awesome. He obviously knows his wines, made it all very fun. The charcuterie was outstanding as was the creme brûlée. We also had the surf and turf, the shrimp were a little tasteless and the steak was very fatty on one end. I will definitely go back again but
will probably stick with the appetizers on my next visit.
This was the first time we went to the Mercy Wine Bar- it has a fantastic wine list. We enjoyed a flight of wines all of which we wonderful
The food was also terrific - the cheese plates are great as are all the appetizers and small plates
The service could not have been better or more helpful. To our surprise, a jazz band (my wife’s favorite) started around 8...
The place was hopping with quite a varied crowd from first dates to old married couples (like us), good friends, steady daters, even a bachelorette party.
Fantastic as ALWAYS!
Mike was a fantastic server, the Saturday night band (1942 or something) was clutch, and we had a wonderful experience.
This is my fourth visit to Mercy Wine Bar, and I’m always impressed. A very knowledgeable wine staff, excellent service, and live music in front of comfy sofas Thursday thru Sunday.
If you enjoy wine, food, comfy surroundings and great music (The 1942!!), Mercy Wine Bar is a terrific payoff for all of these attributes!
Really disappointed that beginning with the reservation the Mercy I knew for over a decade long is gone. The hostess ignored all instruction in the reservation that this was a birthday dinner for my wife and we wanted to see the performance. We were stuck in a corner and I never saw a musician. Nobody ever even said happy birthday.
The waiter was somewhat helpful but not able to check on us consistently. The food had some okay parts and some bad parts. The entrees were uninspiring and bland (beef filet and tuna steak) and the dessert was supposed to be creme brule but instead was a vanilla bean paste with a caramelized top. Inedible.
We have gone to Mercy Wine Bar for over a decade. I'm afraid this visit was our last.
This was our first visit but not our last. The waitress was so helpful in choosing both wines and food. There is an extensive wine list of all price ranges. We had small plates and they were very good.
Excellent wine bar, great menu. Great for eating dinner, or the wide selection of appetizers makes for a good happy hour spot! Great ambiance. Live acoustic music!
I got the table of my choice by the music performers which were fantastic. (The place was not to busy that night)
The server (Monica? from Houston) did an excellent job and did not rush me thru the 4 course meal.
The wine (from Spain) and the un-rushed meal made me feel in Europe, except I paid with dollars not euros.
The chef was having a good day and making everything perfect.
Can not wait to go back !
The service by Monica was just OUTSTANDING !
The music performers are great.
The mussels were delicious and I’ll need to order them again. Noise level was great for our catch up conversation.
Service was so-so, they sat us at a table in located in front of the Patio doors, every time they opened the door 100 degree temp. came rushing in. The wait staff bumped into our chairs several times on their way in and out. We ordered a cheese plate that was served in a bowl, very unusal plate to serve a cheese "Plate/Board" the great cheeses they offered were great!. Great wine list, loved being able to do a flight.
Music was great. We had a relaxing evening - was our first date.
The food, wine and service were fantastic. We will be back soon.
Great location, valet Parking on site, the interior of this restaurant is well organized, they had a classical guitar band that performed awesome that night. The menu is very European indeed, with an occasional American item. The fries stole the show, Parmesan truffle fries are the best in town. Food is delicious and the serving sizes are just perfect.
Wine list is generous as well.
Great place for a pleasant evening.
had no idea this place was here and has been for almost 20 years - tucked away in strip mall and looks tiny from outside but inside is great atmosphere with dining seating, bar and couches - so something for everyone. We did wine flights so we could taste things to pair with apps and then split entrée. service was impeccable - our server had only been there a month but was wealth of knowledge like she's been doing this for years. We'll definitely be back.
Mercy is consistently perfect for a wine bar with quality food. Not pretentious. Not casual yet not stuffy. Huge wine selection and servers are both personable and thorough. Dark, eclectic interior with spaces nicely separated. Menu has expanded and food terrific. A bit pricey but the new French owner has much better food than the original founder who owned Sebastian's Closet. We had our first date here in 2004, got engaged here in 2006, rented the whole place for a Bon Voyage party in 2007 (moving overseas) and just celebrated our return to DFW closing on a Plano home in 2018. Vive la Mercy!
