We loved dining here! Wonderful food, amazing views, and caring washout staff made for an amazing evening.
Delicious food, great views of the Hudson, reasonable prices!!!
Delicious food and excellent service with lovely waterfront location!
The curry mussels were excellent. Avocado toast very good but not a good value choice three small pieces not worth the price. Lovely view even on a cold windy day. Will go back on a warmer day. Close to the Paulus Hook ferry so commute from JC is lovely and easy.
Nice view of the Hudson and the statue of Liberty. If its a clear day its amazing. Food is nice and the staff are friendly. Worth a visit for the river views alone.
We went for my husbands birthday and they went out of their way to make it special. Mojito was fantastic. Super kid friendly!
Delicious and great location! Definitely recommend the brunch and mac and cheese cones!
Great ambience and good food and service plus a wonderful view hear the windows. Will definitely be back!
Always enjoy having a meal at the Merchants River House. The food is terrific. The views are spectacular.
We had our 2nd anniversary lunch here and it was a fabulous location. Amazing food, incredible view, outstanding service.
Food is amazing. Not great for dinner if you want a happening place. To be fair it was winter and freezing out- this place is on the water. I can definitely see this place being a winner for brunch on a nice day! Food is great regardless.
Beautiful view day and night....hard to find but food worth the find
Great little restaurant overlooking the river in Manhattan. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was good but not great. Service was excellent.
I took my friend for lunch for her birthday, since we walk passed this restaurant all the time on our afternoon walk along the River. Tuna wrap was delicious.
This is a neighborhood restaurant for us and we enjoy eating here. For NYE we were a little disappointed. Martinis have been exceptional in the past but not so much this night. The pour was rather skimpy and the drink was shaken when I requested stirred. Rest of the meal was fine and our waitress was responsive and polite. As always the entire staff makes themselves busy and stays on top of things.
Love this restaurant. One of the best in the Battery Park City area. Superb service. The salmon dinner is especially good.
Loved the view of the river as the sun was going down. Food was also delicious, just as good as the view.
My family had Christmas Day lunch here. This is not a formal restaurant which is exactly what we wanted because we had 2 teenagers with us. The food is good but basic. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. It is the view that makes this restaurant a great place to have lunch - looking out across the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty and watching all the walkers and runners go by.
We had lamb meatballs , salmon and martinis. It was all really good. One of the original Battery Park restaurants which should not be forgotten. Best views in Battery Park.
The food here was very well prepared and presented. The view of the Hudson, Statue of Liberty etc. added to the enjoyment.
Very expensive. Above average food. Waiter was very nice but not attentive
Spectacular view, full portions, average quality of food, a little bit expensive: the view isn't free ;-)
Took my teenage daughter and her friends for lunch for her birthday. Made a reservation the night before and my table was ready on time! The Mac & Cheese Quartet was absolutely amazing - the girls, especially my daughter, LOVED it! Sweet potato fries are the best we've ever had. (one drawback is that they charged for every refill of flavored lemonade even though menu says free refills)
Great location good food and easy to get a table
My girlfriend and I love to experience new restaurants and food, but we've never heard or been here. It was about time!! Absolutely nothing negative to report!!
We had Thanksgiving dinner at Merchant's Riverhouse...food was good, but sat waiting to be
picked up and served ( we sat across from service area)...would have liked my meal a bit hotter. I realize it was a holiday and busier than usual. Views were beautiful, very relaxed atmosphere and workers very friendly. We have been to brunches during warmer months and have been very happy with our experiences. Overall, we really like this restaurant and will return in the future.
Good place to catch up with family and friends. Unpretentious, warm neighborhood place. Kid friendly. Food is casual fir the most part but delicious. Lots of options. Wonderful view and sunsets. Cozy in winter and nice outdoor space for quick summer bite.
Great food but a little pricey.
Beautiful view, delicious food, and great service!
Great view of the water and Statue of Liberty. Perfect for Sunday brunch. We had very good wait staff taking care of us. Recommend.
Great place for a late lunch with an excellent view of the Harbor and NJ. Sat at a high top in the bar area and loved it. Good food (lobster rolls with sweet potato fries were very good) , good drinks (Bloody Mary and also Hustle and Bustle highly recommend), and super friendly staff.
Good food with a nice view of the river
Enjoyed the view of the River and NJ across the water. Food was good also. Took too long for the water to come to our table
Great service and beautiful view. Casual dining spot and quiet lunch space.
Each time I visit this restaurant I asked myself why I'm not there a lot more often. Really, truly a neighborhood gem. Way better than the much noisier places just blocks away by the marina, this is just around the corner, and worth the extra two block walk. (In fact, would be worth an extra mile walk)
Starting with wonderful river & harbor views and spectacular sunset (if you're there at the right time), it only gets better. The waiters are always extremely helpful. Their food is really top notch. My favorite appetizers are the Spinach & Artichoke Dip (with amazing chips for dipping) and the Giant Pretzel (words don't do it justice). For a main course, I almost always order the Ahi Tuna, and then salivate at the dishes of my companions. And don't skip the Cookie ala mode for desert.
(P.S. The reason I'm not there more often is that I don't eat out near my office very often.)
Went for brunch on a Sunday, lovely location on river watching the world go by.
Nice ambience with friendly service, eggs benedict good.
Outstanding brunch on the promenade of Battery Park City. Rainy day, so the area was fairly quiet, which was perfect. Terrific, personable attentive service; outstanding food. I'm looking forward to trying this place for dinner now. Highly recommended.
Service was off, had to ask multiple times for items like more coffee, ketchup, etc. they mentioned they had limited servers
I had the mac and cheese waffle cones that were delicious and very filling!
We found this restaurant via OpenTable because it was more convenient to where we needed to be - and it was better and more perfect than we could have imagined. Combination of down-to-earth yet upscale. Now my favorite downtown restaurant.
