Merchants offers a well-curated cigar selection from Davidoff—including but not limited to the Grand Cru Toro, WSC Churchill, Aniversario Short Perfecto, and Royal Release Robusto. I'm happy to have found a cigar lounge that serves food & cocktails. It's smaller than I expected, but the size is just right for an intimate feeling. The vibe was great, along with the food & specialty cocktails. Don't skip the ribeye! They have a great assortment of cigars as per the husband.

Merchant’s Cigar Bar is an experience! The bartender curated a cocktail and cigar pairing for us that was mouthwatering. He really knows his stuff! We also got the sliders and truffle fries which were incredible. All around incredible ambiance, service, food, cocktails and cigars. Highly recommend!

First time visiting Merchants Cigar Bar since the location re-opened/renovated (visited many years ago). Had a 5PM reservation, so first to arrive and was able to sit at the bar. Jared K was our server/bartender. Very nice, personable and can hear every word you say over the music (I asked my friend if he wanted to order the candied bacon). Jared gave us some history of the bar, as it was converted into a cigarette lounge a few years ago. Nice place to go after work for Happy Hour and smoke cigars. My friend and I had our own cigars ($15 cutting fee), but enjoyed the Old Fashion and candied bacon. My friend asked for beer on tap, but Merchants does not offer that; my friend decided on a IPA instead. Definitely will return in the future.

Horrible Ran out of three bourbons We ordered numerous drinks food and cigars but they told us they have a 4 hour limit so we couldn’t stay While they had empty tables DONT GO

Not that many bars where one can still enjoy a cigar, but this is not the only reason to hit this place. Small Plates are not so small. Perfect pairing menu for a good cigar smoke. The steak is Steak house quality, the truffle fries are crisp and hot, the Charcuterie board is very generous with a great assortment of meats and chesses, - Love the deviled eggs and the sliders. We are coming back for more. Oh, and the drinks: nice pour and nice menu of specialty cocktails for the girl who never knows what she wants to drink.

We did the Havana High Life experience and it was worth every penny. The head bartender took his time to match us with each drink and fully explained all the choices he made. I am a cigar novice and my guest was not, but he treated us both equally and respectfully - super friendly! The food came out all at once, and the deviled eggs and steak were to die for. The cherry on top was the chocolate lava cake for dessert… easily the best I’ve had in the city. The bar wasn’t too loud or crowded and the smell was very understated. It didn’t stick to clothes at all. I’d recommend this to anyone, but especially for people who are looking for hole in the wall spots with unique experiences (where they’ll be treated like a VIP).

We really enjoyed ourselves, the food & drinks were great! The tasting experience was top notch. Was a little smaller than it looks in photos. But overall it was a great experience an would do it again. An shout out to our hostess Priscilla she was GREAT! An she makes a KILLER DRINK! Lol

We went these to celebrate my friend birthday and Jared - the Head Bartender was beyond helpful and amazing, we were party of 12 had all different Reservations, yet he accommodate us and give us the best time ever, and made our visit memorable, definitely will go there again. Thx Jared

I was afraid that my hair and my clothes would like smoke but their ventilation system was great. Food came out super quick and was delicious. We had the Father’s Day special for my boyfriend’s birthday. It was a calm vibe and I’d def go back.

Waitress was not attentive and there was not a wide selection of cigars. One of the worse experiences ever in NYC. Got my food order wrong, coffee was old and drinks were flat. Would not recommend. The only bright spot of the experience was the music that was played.
