Excellent food and service. It was lovely to have the chef come out at the end of the evening and chat with the patrons.

Consistently fabulous food & interesting wines, true fine-dining experience. Menu is always interesting, very clever, beautifully executed & presented, service warm and personal yet not intrusive. Some very interesting wine choices available, including smaller local Yarra Valley wines. Ambiance is lovely with subtle lighting and quiet music, tables well spaced & beautifully set. Good car park behind restaurant. Has been a favourite for special occasions for over 10 years for us, always a treat!

Food was delicious but the service was below average. The waitress serving us was probably new there. She didn't know much about the GF options. We forgot to order the sides with the mains but the waitress didn't ask or remind us about the sides. When the mains was served and we realized that we did not order the sides, we thought it might be good to just ask for some extra bread. That bread never came. Also , there was 35-40 mins gap between the mains and dessert.

There is everything to love about this restaurant as it ticks all the boxes in respect to food, service and ambiance. Among my favorite places as never been disappointed by any part of my experience there. A must try restaurant for any diner. As we do with each visit there, we start with the best intent of only having two courses but as always, something grabs our attention on the entree and main menu and then fell for the trap of the shared dessert platter. Gets us every time

We dined at Mercer's Saturday night . Although the restaurant was full , at no time did we feel either rushed or on the otherhand forgotten . Two had degustation menu , two a la carte , but the meals were brought out in a way that we all had a plate in front of us at the same time . Could not fault the food or service . Best part is there is no need to go to the city for a wonderful dinning experience .

We have been visiting a few times and always been happy. This time one staff was very insecure. Might need more training before doing full service. However the extremely disappointing thing was when we got served a course by another staff and she did not bother telling us what it is. So we asked. Answer and I quote here: goats cheese with.....whatever. No professionalism at all. VERY disappointing.
