it was a really romantic place, everything was very good
Dinner was good and vibe was good.
Our service was horrible. Very slow. Waiter would walk around out table serval times w/o attending to us. Took him 20 minutes to even bring water or Menus. I come to Mercer kitchen a lot and entertain clients there so i was very disappointed
Our waiter was outstanding, never hovered or made us feel rushed. The food was good, not great, but we were there for the conversation and atmosphere, which can’t be beat!
Everything was delicious!!
Quite odd service.
Gabriel made our anniversary dinner especially memorable! We recommend the duck, as well as the peeled shrimp salad. Wonderful ambiance downstairs!
Delicious brunch, chill ambiance and really great service!
Thank you for the excellent brunch! What a great place.
Delicious food. A bit on the pricey side and service decent. Great ambiance. Would definitely recommend!
Perfect table for friends having long catch up conversation. Kind staff made us welcome for as long as we wanted. The seafood tower was excellent. We each got delicious crabmeat and also shrimp dishes. Everything was so tasty. Of course we had to order their delicious fries. Simple shared berries ended our perfect get to get her dinner.
Not my favorite restaurant I’ve been to recently, but still tasty and a good vibe.
Consistency in good quality and flavors.
A really nice looking restaurant with good food but inadequate prizes for drinks (antialcoholic beer/cafe americano/cappucino. Over all not a fair value for the prizes.
Our waiter was fabulous but unfortunately we were served our foods at different times. I ordered a cold dish which took longer than the hot food that my guest ordered. The people next to me received their hot food before I
Food was good , ambience was good but the Service was ok. Tough to get the wait staffs attention. Oh and wine glasses .. why are they served in such a small glass? Not a proper way to treat nice wines. Overall good not great.
MK used to be good. Now, there are way way better options in the neighborhood. The salmon was bland, the garnish on the raw tuna pizza made it difficult to navigate and the non alcoholic fruit punch had a super weird after taste. Our server was obnoxiously telling a story and talking to a trainee about three feet from us the entire time we ate. Go somewhere else, Gato on Lafayette or anything on Bond St.
Very disappointing food. Heavy handed chef. Large portions but didn’t really even want to eat them! Very fried. Service was good but doesn’t make up for expensive bad food.
We could not see what was on your plates due to the minimal lighting. We had to read the menu with the help of the flashlight of our mobile phones. I had the expensive JOYCE FARMS PRIME GRASS FED RIBEYE, but that was not juicy for a raw medium steak and the Crisp Fingerling Potatoes, Chickpeas, Sage, Spicy Roasted Garlic Aioli where all oily sides.
We had a family birthday party here. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, but the waitstaff - not so great. We had to work at getting the waitstaff’s attention, at one point it looked like our waiter was having a coffee knot he in the corner and I had to get the busboy to get our waiter to come over. Btw the bus boys were great - maybe they should be your waitstaff.
Salmon sashimi delicious!!!!
We went to Mercer Kitchen for brunch and I would love to give it five stars because the food was really great, but the service was so bad, I can’t even recommend the restaurant at all. We live in NYC and are used to somewhat spotty service at times, especially when a restaurant is busy. But Mercer Kitchen was relatively quiet when we were there, and we still had to flag down the wait staff and ask for items multiple times. Everything from sweetener for the iced tea to salt and pepper to utensils to eat our entrees with took two to three requests from multiple servers to arrive at our table (and the items were nothing that they could blame the kitchen on). As we were finishing our entrees, my husband asked for an additional side of sautéed Kale. It was about as simple a dish as you could get, yet we waited half an hour and then finally gave up. The one thing that came quickly when we asked for it was the bill.
Usually the food is great. This was brunch and it was mediocre at best. The service was REALLY bad this time. Order was wrong, coffee came after food was finished, waited almost 15 minutes for bill. The only redeeming thing is that waitress actually apologized at the end which went a long way in my mind. Usually this place is great.
Loved it! Will come back again!
Poor food, the burguer was just normal and fríed potatoes like you find in Mc donnald.
Place was nice
Very good food and ambiance. Service was not the best, they forgot several of our dishes and drinks but the food was good
Brunch food is incredibly overpriced and of a very low quality. My omelette was small, mediocre and came with only 8 over cooked, overseasoned potatoes. Good ambiance is not enough to make up for the abysmal brunch food here. French toast meal is only one piece of French toast! The manager here should be ashamed. Don’t waste your time or money.
Server was poor. Just a string of moments of lack of attention or giving a care! Tipped 8%. Told him why. He had a go at me!
They almost lost my phone
Very noisy. Innatentive waitstaff. Lamb sandwich a big disappointment.
The service at this restaurant is consistently poor, elitist, and not inclusive. The staff always seems to be waiting for someone brighter and shinier to show up, and forgetting they have other paying customers in their establishment. The possibilities are endless for this restaurant, but not until there is a change in culture. I will not be coming back in the near future.
Appetizers were good, the kitchen seemed off on the mains....It was a very busy night!
Lovely place Lovely food very nice atmosphere raccomanded for a romantic dinner
Liked the food, but felt very rushed by servers to order. One meal came out undercooked and took 15 min to return.
Cocktail and winelist were minimal.
Food was very good.
The entire restaurant could use an upgrade. Decor very dark and outdated.
It used to be better
To expensive drinks also
Service was good
The waiters were rude and the food wasn’t worth the price
Service was the worst. No follow up, asked for coffee, never came. Had to get up to ask for salt and pepper for eggs. Will never return. Too many other wonderful options in the area. THE. WORST. I’d suggested this restaurant for brunch and it was an embarrassment.
I would have expected more from the food. It could have been a Hilton continental breakfast included with your stay...
