Our server Dave was fantastic...such a pleasure to speak with. He was genuinely interested in getting to know us & openly sharing his story. Great food, great service....5 stars!
Both the service and food were excellent. I would highly recommend.
The area in the Venetian in St. Mark's square is a fun place to eat. The service was outstanding. The food was hit and miss for the group. My halibut was good, but overpriced for the quality. Jumbo prawns were very good for one diner. Appetizers were excellent. The oddball diner that ordered pasta thought it was OK. It was a nice dinner, but with all of the other great options in the Venetian/Palazzo property and overall in Vegas, I probably won't return. It seems weird to say that about a 4 star experience.
Seafood risotto was tasty. Seating was within the walkways of the shoppes so lots of people and ambient noise. However the occasional contortionist acts and short musicals made the outside seating worthwhile.
Birthday. Was amazing
While the food was tasty and arrived in a decent time frame, it didn't matter that we had a reservation - everyone was seated on a first come first served basis. We were seated right beside a fishy smelling seafood dusplay. There was no toilet paper in the women's washroom and nobody acted on replacing it when it was brought to the attention of staff. It was noisy, but that seems to be par for the course for Vegas.
Really good food and great service. Unique setting.
We wanted seafood for dinner and this wasn't our first choice, but WOW! It would be now. Amazing food and service was top notch. We chose to try the tasting menu, and it was the right choice. For just a bit more than the entree, we got a bargain for the appetizer. I had the grilled octopus, done to perfection, and my spouse chose the spicy grilled shrimp, that he loved. For our entrees, he had the halibut and I had the branzino. And in addition to the great meal, we had entertainment in the open space, some of it unintended. The musical trio was fronted by an attractive blond, with a great operatic voice, but a Japanese tour group passing by took turns taking selfies with her, holding up her musical contribution. The restaurant is in the recreated St. Mark's Square, and through the evening, various doors opened and windows had lights, adding to the overall ambiance.
The restaurant is Italian but except pasta there is nothing Italian. We ordered cheeses for appetizer that were terrible. The main course was pasta which was ok. Don’t think we’ll be back. We landed live in Vegas and there are much, much better Italian restaurants around.
The restaurant had a lot of charm, and it appeared they were using very fresh ingredients. Slicing prosciutto on the spot, fresh fish sitting on ice as you walk in, home made pasta. We sat inside and found it was very loud. The service was excellent. Having lived 10 years in Italy, and with my wife being Italian I was very much looking forward to the food, especially after reading the reviews. We had calamari as an appetizer. It was not over cooked or oily but I found it to be a little rubbery when chewing, so not sure if it was previously frozen. My wife had spaghetti with clams and I had linguine with seafood. Both pastas were cooked to al dente, a little too al dente for my taste. Being both dishes were seafood we didn’t expect to find that they were both very dry dishes, thick, gummy, no juices/sauce whatsoever. Meaning if you put a piece of bread in the dish the bread would not have any sauce on it when you pulled it out. For the price we paid $$, I expected much better food.
Food was great. They layout of the resturant just makes it very loud. The service was okay and got the job done.
Fantastic ribeye steak and great Pizzas with excellent service.
Loved the food. Excellent meat and cheese board, and the grilled sea bass was outstanding. My husband loved his risotto. Prices are high end, but so is the food. Not much atmosphere on the outside seating, but prompt service. We enjoyed it very much.
Aloha from Hawaii! Celebrated my 10th year wedding anniversary and brought a beautiful cake for the occasion. I was just bombed about the $4 per person cutting fee but over all I had an excellent experience. Much love... R&S
Beautiful setting with outdoor feel. Wonderful pasta and lasagna.
Two of us and I had the lobster linguini and wasn't very exciting and flavor lacking. Service was decent and location is fun.
Our waiter Victor was outstanding and the food was fabulous!
Great place and great scene. Food was very solid Italian.
Although the food was good, the service was extremely poor. Didn’t warrant the overall cost at all.
We were disapointed to learn of our favorite spot in Vegas, Zefferino's had closed, but we were pleasently surprised to dine here. Great food, the veal shank was in a word, awesome and my wife's mixed seafood linguini was spot-on. We were fortunate to have a great waiter, Brian. He was very knowlegebale and genuinely wanted to make our evening a wonderful experience. Try it out, I guarantee you'll be happy you did. Cheers~Ron & Judy
This was my second visit to this restaurant. Both meals were excellent. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. There is “outside” sitting in the Grand Canal area which gives you the feeling of dining in St. Marks Square in Venice. We enjoyed the live Italian singing that goes on in the Square as well . Overall an excellent meal in an entertaining environment.
My main complaint was the noise level which is probably not the restaurant's fault. All of the restaurants in Vegas suffer from this, at least, in my experience. Mercato was slightly better than others in terms of noise level. The Mercato salad is outstanding with fresh greens on a chilled plate and wonderful dressing. The mixed seafood pasta special was quite tasty but was did not resemble the picture on the ipad menu in any way. The veal marsala was terrific with the veal being wonderfully tender. I
A casual and convenient place to eat while attending event in Sands Conference space. The vegetable sides were generous and delicious! Faux outside dining was bizarrely entertaining. Fake Venice, fake skies, real food!
Atmosphere is great.
The staff and waiters were great.
The food was not very good at all.
Paid $30 for Chicken Alfredo and truly tasted like chicken came out of a can and was extremely grisly.
What you pay for the food isn't worth it.
Great fresh italian food! Handmade pasta is grandma approved! Perfect Cocktails and service!
Service was terrible. Asked the hostess two times for menus after being seated for 20 minutes
The food was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive. The ambience was amazing (Venetian, St. Mark's Square). Highly recommended!
It was a little noisy for my lunchtime business meeting but was overall a really fun and delicious restaurant in a cool spot
So-so experience overall. When we arrived, they were out of menus, even though only about half the tables were full. Once we finally ordered, they rushed us like they needed the table turned over, with mains coming before apps were done, and with a server’s hand on my plate literally as I ate my last bite. Ran out of bread, but bread did show up with my check. Place never really filled up, so not sure what the rush was. Food was tasty, although not consistently warm. Portions were small for the price. Wine markups steep, even for the Strip. Given the dining variety at this property, I think I’ll steer clear of this one next time.
Decent food, but pricey for the quality. The osso bucco was good, but not as tender as I would've expected, and the med. seabass was very good. The drink selection is excellent. The service was good, but a bit rushed.
We spend really good time, Sevice was great as always, the food very good, the price was a little overrated but ok to be in Vegas, one of the best options for the location is great to have a nice walk after to the venetian. We love our date in this restaurant. I highly recommend
It's in a cordoned off area in the St Mark's square reproduction. Lots of Asian tourists taking pictures of the "sky".
The sea bass was very good. Not bad value compared to other seafood places in Vegas.
Poor service. Waiter didn’t care at all. Noticed we weren’t the only table looking around for their waiter to bring the bill. 2 out of 4 had fish dishes and they were very dry. Barely eaten, waiter didn’t even ask why most of the meals were left.
Overall, it was very poor. Food and service. Manager was walking around and looked like he couldn’t control anything going on in the environment.
Had dinner there on our last day in Vegas, was really special , food was authentic, and overall was good decision.
Food was very good except the Dover sole. It sucked. It was flounder trying to pass as Dover sole. It smelled bad and tasted worse. The manager offered to make a NY Strip for me I said fine, how do u want it cooked I said medium it came out rare she came over re cooked it and did not charge me. So you can go just don’t order Dover sole
Excellent service & great atmosphere. The "patio area" feels like you're outside - even though you aren't. Great location to people watch and enjoy live music and other events. Pasta was fabulous & service couldn't have been better.
We made reservations for our 25th wedding anniversary - figured a nice romantic evening at a nice Italian restaurant in the Venetian. First, it was so loud on the "patio" that we asked to be seated inside. But inside, the restaurant was pumping out loud disco music. In addition to the noise, Euro techno disco just doesn't seem to fit the theme of the restaurant. Plus, they have an open kitchen, which added a lot of clanging and banging pots and pans and the sound of the cookstaff yelling back and forth. Second, our waiter started out great, then basically disappeared for the night after he brought our appetizer. I think a large party came in and took him away, so 2 or 3 other waiters took care of us the remainder of the evening. They were OK at best, but we didn't receive anywhere near the attention that a $175 dinner for two would normally rate. The food was pretty good - no issues there. Overall, I would give it a "meh" rating. Noy horrible, but had we known what to expect, we would have dined elsewhere for our 25th anniversary.
Excellent service and food. All dishes were delicious.
Loved the experience. Worth the walk. Definitely recommend.
