    The food was too salty! I sometimes wonder if chefs smoke so much that they can't taste the salt. The lentil salad was overwhelmed with the spice mixture (and salt) and contained a serious amount of grit. The small shredded mixture that was plated with the sole was crusty with salt and over dressed, Interestingly enough the mashed potatoes tasted like they had no salt. Actually this was a relief and I decided to use them to refresh my palate between salty bites. The waiter didn't seem very informed about the dishes. I really don't know what the Michelin recommendation was based on but I have had far better food in simple French bistros from Brittany to Lyon, and Paris. I did not think the quality matched the price. Also we were there on a slow night and the waiter didn't bother to skip a table between us and the next guests who talked loudly about a tech development. So much for a special dining experience. We will not go back.

    Everything was delicious! Staff was friendly and helpful. The host was welcoming, my server Shanel was great! Even the manager checked on me regularly. Cute little bistro, the vibes were great.

    Bastille Day brunch was delightful, even though it was busier and louder than any other weekend. Our pastry basket was incomplete, but other than that it was delicious.

    Such a fun place, and they do a lot of specials which keep it interesting. This was the Bastille Day special. I ended up ordering the onion soup, which I thought would be fabulous, but it was too thick and meaty for me. The ricotta, marmalade and honey starter is divine and everyone else enjoyed their omelettes and quiches. Potato galette was good too!

    I did not appreciate being “invited” to leave my table — even with the offer of a free drink at the bar. The place is nice, the food is great, but details like this can ruin the entire experience.

    The service was good. The drinks were good. My husband and I both had mocktails and they were very tasty. The food was average at best. The bouillabaisse has a spicy southwestern aioli on it that was a bad flavor experiment. The striped bass was fishy. I noticed one of our dinner partners didn’t finish her mussels but I don’t know if she didn’t care for them or was just full. I think I’ll stick to brunch at Mercat Bistro. It’s always very good.

    Hi Ford, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. The "spicy southwestern aioli" is actually rouille sauce, the classic accompaniment for bouillabaisse. It is similar to aioli, but it also traditionally contains spicy red pepper and saffron. We apologize for your other concerns and will address them. We'll see you for brunch sometime soon and hope that you will give dinner another shot. Thank you again.
