All food is prepared very well. If you want a medium rare steak that’s what you get, not medium or rare which happens at a lot of different places. High class and good prices!

Food was good, but the service was horrible. Our server kept forgetting us and made excuses, saying the kitchen and the bar for over whelmed. We were celebrating my son’s birthday and he was a kitchen manager at a restaurant. He was very upset at her for her poor excuses for bad service. The manager made it worth it by giving him a free dessert and picking up the check for our meals. She also brought out champagne for all of us.

Our first time here. I had the prime rib with Mac n cheese which was very good! The steak was a perfect medium rare and the Mac n cheese was really tasty! My wife had Alaskan Charred Halibut which was flaky and tender but the plate needed more flavor for dipping the fish into. It was served with a huckleberry sauce that wasn’t saucy enough but came with grilled asparagus and amazing duck fat fried fingerling potatoes which made the overall dish amazing. Our waitress Cheryl was awesome, discussed the food and ingredients very well! She was very friendly also!! We are going back in 4 days

Enjoyed the 8oz Coulotte and Cauliflower. Steak was made to medium/rare perfection. Service was fantastic-no matter what their section all came by to check on us. We were sat right next to the live music and it complemented the meal perfectly.

The variety of "shareable sides" is great. Everyone in our party had steak. It was tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff was great and we felt like we were treated royally!

The service was excellent, and so was our food. We had a cajun halibut special which came with rice that was delicious, and seafood fetucini, so didn't need to order extra sides. It was a very pleasant experience!

Onion stack was flavorless. Cooked well but had no flavor to it. We also got the porterhouse for 2. It was cooked well and had decent flavor. Service was ok. Server was friendly and made some suggestions. But was not very tentative.

We enjoyed our dinner. We booked an early reservation and were sat at a large booth which was comfortable. The popovers are delicious along with their herb butter. I chose to have my steak cooked medium rare and while it was a little more rare than I’d like, it was tender and juicy. Chimichurri complimented the steak nicely. I know people say it can be pricey but we found it to be moderately priced for our selections. I imagine if we ordered cocktails or the larger cuts of steak it would have been a lot more. I was completely satisfied with my 8 oz portion. We shared the Mac and cheese which was rich and filling. My husband loved the burger. There was live music as well. All in all a nice experience. We’ll go back 👍🏻

Fantastic! Meeting Ted the host at the front door was delightful as he is always so engaging & makes the very best first impression! Our waitress Cheryl was wonderful! She had spot on recommendations for everything!! We all really enjoyed her top notch service! The wine sommelier was incredible! Shyamali is one of the best soms in the area in our opinion! She brought us a fabulous red to pair with our steaks & it was not only superb, it was extremely reasonably priced! All the staff were terrific & all deserve accolades for their dedication to making customers feel special indeed! Thanks Mercantile!

Brussel sprouts very under cooked. Prime rib was very overrated and very thin. Prime prices for average food. Disappointing, same thoughts first visit several months ago. Nothing has changed

Cozy place with good balance of ambience and good food. Non-meat selections are very limited, but there is a fish special each night. Service was very good. Drinks were delicious. Overall the price was a little high for the quality of food, but still a pleasurable experience. We'd go back if we were in the area.

Once again, Mercantile steak did not disappoint us, we were seated promptly, server, Cheryl came and explain to us the specials, took a drink, order, returned rather quickly, and we ordered our main dinner. Food came out in a reasonable time, and everything was cooked to perfection. It is definitely our favorite place to eat higher end meal.
