Aristoteles was the best waiter and food excellent.
Cool atmosphere. For most of the meal we were the ONLY ones on the restaurant. I felt that the servers could have been more knowledgeable and attentive especially since no one else was there. The food was very good but expensive for what it was.
The food was good but I thought way overpriced. The drinks were also much more expensive than similar restaurants, and miniscule. The music was too loud and we had to ask them to lower the volume.
Brian was incredibly sweet and helpful. Thank you for a lovely birthday dinner for my sister!
Visiting from Chicago. Great atmosphere and service. Chicken was dry and underwhelming. Lamb was better but again underwhelming for the price. Was looking for NYC food experience to impress and will keep looking.
Nice ambiance and very friendly atmosphere and service. Food and cocktails were lacking refinement and creativity that one would expect at this price. We had Greek meatballs, branzino, Merakia salad, roasted broccoli.
Good food. Great atmosphere. Extensive menu. Would recommend the prix fix during the week based on the dishes we would up ordering.
Food was very good, but we were recommended far too much to eat between two persons which was a shame and meant we were unable to eat a large portion of our meal.
I have been to this restaurant 3 times and was impressed with my first couple of visits. This last visit, the service was terrible and impersonal. We were seated in front of a hot fireplace. Server did not bother to ask if I wanted more wine. Every other person at the table was offered more drinks. I ordered the “dancing lamb” (a specialty, presumably, priced at $42), recommended to me by the server. It was very dry, full of bones, tendons and otherwise, mostly inedible. One of my dinner guests ordered the moussaka: virtually NO eggplant could be tasted in the dish. Salad was, however, very nice and the appetizers were delicious. I will not return to this establishment.
We were entertaining clients and I did not want to raise the unfortunate issue to the manager on a very crowded and loud evening.
We arrived at 8 pm on a Friday, they had run out of two out of their three lamb dishes and also the vegetable lasagna, and they let you know only when you already ordered your drinks! They should have alerted us. Overpriced for what it is!
Exceptional restaurant! Best service of any place I have been to in New York. A must!
A wonderful experience overall. Our server, Danny, was super friendly, fair, and gave the best recommendations for what to order. We got the Dancing Lamb and the Mountaintheif’s Klefitko, and both were scrumptious!! Great portions too.
The food was good and the service was friendly, but neither was extraordinary. I am more than happy to pay NYC prices for an upscale meal, but in this case, the prices seemed exhorbitant. The $51 lamb was tasty, but nothing special. I would have been as satisfied with a $12 Schwarma sandwich frankly
It's a must try, the food was delicious, the ambient is incredible, and the service was outstanding
Beautiful dinning room.
Food was really good and service was on top.
Only downside is the price. I find it a little bit pricey for some items but nothing completely unreasonable.
Will definitely go back.
We come her a 1 -3 times per month, great food & service.
Thank you Karen. It's good to hear that you've become a regular. cheers!
Restaurant had great lighting and a great mix of different types of spaces (near the window, booths, dining room at the back). Even though we had a reservation, we were seated at the front near the bar, which is not where you want to be in this kind of spot. The back has so much more life and character.
Service was okay, nothing special but nice servers so couldn’t complain.
Food was generally flavorful but too expensive for what we were getting. We had one drink each, a couple of appetizers and a main each and it was about $250. Not the best value for money.
This new re-birth of Kat and Theo is very pleasant. The ambiance is very good although it is, in common with most NYC restaurants, rather noisy, especially on Friday nights with parties. The food is very good, especially the lamb dishes. The prices are quite high although probably in keeping with restaurants of that standard in Manhattan. The lamb leg I had was very tender and well cooked. I would return here.
For a casual meal, I thought it was on the expensive side. The waiter tried some up-selling which was not appreciated, and waiter service was somewhat slow. The food was good, and very generous serving sizes.
It was great! The grilled octopus was really good! Great service!
Thank you for making my birthday so wonderful. The staff were all so kind and attentive and gave us a beautiful table. I will definitely be back.
A romantic place. We recommend sharing the yoghurt and cherry desert.
Underrated spot...beautiful ambiance, great service, great food!
All the things are perfect, if there's a very little suggestion, it is that there should be more waiters during the dinner time, or the waiters will be too busy to make good service to every guest.
I got this recommendation from Time out, and we went right after Valentine’s Day. I thought the place will be more upscale than it is, but this is fine. Food is good, but overall service was way below average. They charged the wine 2 times, my wife’s fish was cold and the bartender poured the wine without having me trying it. I might have gotten unlucky that night, but I'm not thinking about coming back soon.
Lamp was dry and all other dishes lucked the real authentic spiced flavor...
Food was so so so so good. Awesome date on Valentines.
Went out for Valentine’s Day dinner.
Was actually 3 of us.
Food was just ok, as matter of fact fish was way to fishy, quail with no meat on it.
Desserts... just ok.
Great, friendly service. Good drinks. Comfortable seating.
$750 (3ppl, 3 cocktails each)
It was iight
Went for Valentines Day and at that price point you need to have solid service. Could not have been more disappointed and wont be back due to it - how many times are you going to walk past my empty drink on the edge of the table?!?!
I attended the restaurant on Valentine’s Day and my girlfriend and I were very happy with the setting and food options. We will definitely be back on a regular night in the near future.
Terrible food for the price paid. Was expecting a lot more flavor than what I got. I guess it’s nyc so they have to charge a lot especially for a place that has a great ambiance, but I would never eat here again
Food was okay and a bit overpriced. It took about an hour for the entree to come out which rushed our dining experience to make it to a show. Service was good except for the fact that they never checked up on us during that hour wait. No explanation as to why the food was taking so long either. We came in for a 5:15 reservation and the restaurant wasn’t packed at all even by the time we left. It was a prix fixe menu.
The restaurant had a beautiful decor n the food was tasty but the service needs some major direction. There were 7 people of us n the waiters were throwing food on the table for us just as it is. We had to ask for some bread at the beginning and exchange the food from each other. Good thing we were in a good mood so it didn’t reflect on their tips but it’s a shame that the management train them well. Too bad they are not going to become next Milos or Avra
Thoughtful and unique design, wonderful grilled meats and branding.
The food took a very long time to come out. Although there was a record for our calamari appetizer, it was never brought out until after our entrees arrived. The manager did not apologize to us or offer anything for this mishap. I am an event manager for a hospitality group and noted this on my reservation as well as a birthday. My guest was not even told happy birthday or had a candle in the dessert we ordered. I did like the food however will not be returning based on the service.
Fabulous place with a charming ambience especially the fireplace in winter is amazing. Food was substantial and their service excellent. Will definitely go back
Slow service; my husband’s steak wasn’t cooked and the bones were not cleaned out of my fish.
