The Fort Point neighborhood’s urban cityscape, with its blend of historic brick buildings and sleek design statements, is the perfect setting for Menton, Chef Barbara Lynch's modern interpretation of fine dining.

With beautifully executed cuisine, an unparalleled wine program, warm hospitality, and a glamorous setting, Menton seeks to excite, inspire, and transport guests. Pristine ingredients and refined technique are the basis for seasonally inspired menus. A six-seat bar, with additional seating for ten at tables along a banquette, features expertly crafted cocktails and beers from both near and far. A carefully curated wine list highlights small grower champagnes and rare vintages from lesser-known vineyards.

In addition to the dining room and bar, Menton boasts two private event spaces perfect for gathering with colleagues, friends, or family.

The wait times between courses for the tasting menu were timed poorly. It took nearly 30 minutes to get our champagne from the time of ordering and due to long wait times between courses, we finished an entire bottle half way through the tasting menu. Our dishes were inconsistent in portions and in doneness.

Going to Menton was such a wonderful experience. The staff and chef go above and beyond to learn about their customers and make their night special. The food is exceptional and their is a wide variety of phenomenal drinks to choose from. Highly recommend a night out at Menton.

Great food, nice people, good ambiance. Staff was willing to answer all our questions, they explained every course, gave honest suggestions and easily accommodated allergies. Would definitely recommend.

Christmas dinner but if it wasn’t for our wonderful server the quality is not good , I’m sorry to say I expected a awesome dinner and not a discount for a A5 way that wasn’t a A5 , I would pay for good quality and I am not impressed , we stayed 1O nights across the street from the Marriott and we expected a Christmas Eve dinner to remember , sorry won’t recommend

We had a wonderful time with our Chef's menu and wine pairing. I wish the pace was a little less rushed, but it was wonderful just the same. I really appreciated the thoughtful pairing of wines with the food. Sometimes the pairing for a great dinner can be off, but the wine pairing was very well thought out and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and convivial.

We had a lovely time and it was a great way to celebrate a special birthday. Service was prompt and not pushy. In part because of reviews we decided not to get the Chefs Whim - too much food and inconsistent reviews. We were thrilled with our choices: steak tartare and Tagliatelle and the seared fois gras and the winter fish with crab. Everything was excellent. Presentations are super simple so at first you wonder if it will be enough but we were both pleasantly full without being stuffed. We ended splitting the chocolate soufflé which was perfection!

Our third time here but other visits were years ago. When it first opened it was such a special dining experience. Restaurant was more intimate, and quiet and whole experience was just so unique. Obviously they have changed with the times. While the food is still amazing and our service was as well, we found it quite loud and at times difficult to hear each other. We’re in our 50’s, so not so old as to have hearing issues. Ha ha. I’d recommend it for the delicious and unique menu just be prepared for the price and for the louder vibe.

Fantastic service, great ambiance, but 500 dollars and we came home to make fried rice afterwards. If you’ve got money laying around and want to have some fun have at it. A bit of a visual imposter where it looks good but the flavors didn’t carry through. If I’m going to literally have only four pieces of pasta on my plate, they better be the best 4 bites I’ve ever had. Shoutout to our lovely server though. Very caring

What a disappointment! We made the reservation based on the reputation of the restaurant group and the menu that sounded very interesting. A day before our Saturday reservation we received a call informing us that "due to the staff shortages" they are no longer going to offer a regular ala card menu and we will be forced to choose a $175 per person tasting menu or $375 per person white truffle menu. It was a Saturday so there was no way to find another last-minute reservation plus it was my birthday so we decided to give it a try - what a mistake. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was implacable but that is where it ends. The food:
1. Uneventfull amuse 2. Caviar - served on a wilted leaf of what seemed like bok-choy, so stringy that it was impossible to cut it with a fish knife and too big to eat it in one piece resulting in scrambling the caviar in the process! 3. Foie Gras torchon - this was amazing. 4. Lobster - 1/2 a small tail that was undercooked and impossible to cut with the fish knife 5. Short Rib pasta - dry filling and undercooked pasta, I mean you can taste flour 6. Pheasant - this was great although the brioche was dry 7. Venison - was average at best. Overall the check before the wine was about $400 and we left hungry and disappointed. Being forced to choose this menu the day before reservation when it was impossible to change our plans made it even worst!

The pasta I had was similar to a ravioli. It was terrible. This restaurant has gone down hill. Over priced for tiny portions. My husband got the Bolognese, which was good, however, you can get that anywhere. Please improve. Love the decor!

A stellar dining experience. The White Truffle Tasting menu was prepared perfectly, served with well matched wine. Table side truffle slicing by a chef added a great touch. Attentativness to service details was crisp without making you feel rushed or hurried. Highly recommend for any and all specical occassion or just that need for a special night out.

First time there in more than eight years. Our previous experience was disappointing, but we decided to give it another shot because we want to support Barbara Lynch. Unfortunately, experience was the same. It’s hard to put finger on it, but it just comes up short. Everything is good, but given the price tag and the accolades, it should be much more than just good.

Overall an enjoyable experience. The food was delicious but I'm giving it 3 stars because it wasn't hot. None of the hot dishes came out hot - including an incredibly expensive truffle pasta dish.
I gave Service a 3 because even though we got a lot of attention from various servers, we didn't know who to ask for what - our main server never came over to ask how things were but probably because we had so many people coming and going with different dishes. But that relates to my top comment - if she had come over we would have told her the food was cold, but because she didn't check in we ate our cold food.

With the Menton’s high prices, most diners will expect great service, great food, innovative preparations and elegant presentations. Well, that is what you get. Without being stuffy and pretentious, Menton conjures the memory of white table cloth dining in the US (disappearing fast) and multi-star Michelin outposts in Europe, (fading, but still holding on). Chef de cuisine Souza does an admirable job as does the entire friendly house staff.

My husband and I made reservations weeks in advance fully looking forward to this dining experience however we were extremely disappointed with the food and service. The food came out of the kitchen extremely slow and it was nothing special. Our server was weeded very early on Android we saw her only twice. When we said something to the manager he did comp our dinner however I know we would have rather had a good experience. I cannot recommend the menton

This was the most disappointing dining experience I’ve had in quite some time. For such lofty expectations and price, Menton managed to disappoint in all aspects. The food was fine, nothing stood out..which is disappointing for a $200 Muscovy duck dish. The dishes were all creatively stale and small, the execution was the opposite of daring or innovative or memorable.

But the worst part was the service. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and we mentioned this in the beginning when we were asked what the occasion was. That was the first and last time all evening that anyone mentioned her birthday, let alone any nice gesture from the restaurant to celebrate. That was certainly hurtful and unexpected. More so, the staff forgot our bread service and forgot what they were serving for each course we ordered. It was one of the coldest and most inattentive service experiences I’ve ever experienced, and the fact that this happened at Menton is appalling.

I will never step foot here again and will not fail to discourage anyone and everyone from coming here.
