Menton is fine dining in every way. The food preparation, presentation and taste is outstanding. The service is superb. The ambience is subtle elegance. The wine list is spectacular.

Food was excellent but portions small and very pricey. Atmosphere too casual for the price - expect white table cloths. Would go again for a very special occasion but otherwise probably not.

We went for a family birthday celebration, and it was an incredible experience! Danny and Chef Chris took the BEST care of us! Everyone was more than accommodating as far as tweaking the tasting menu for diet restrictions. I can’t say there was a thing I didn’t like on the menu! Definitely recommend the wine pairing along with the chef’s tasting menu.

We came down from Maine for an evening in Boston and because we do this fairly infrequently, we wanted it to be great. And Menton was exactly that - great!! I would wholeheartedly recommended Menton to everyone. So so good!

The ambience was tranquil. Service was exceptional. I requested for vegeterian dish and i didn't quite like it. But the staff and chef made me another one and that came out to be amazing. Amazing place for a romantic date or special occassion!

We enjoyed our meal at Menton. The service was excellent and the food very good although my husband thought his French onion soup was ordinary. My salad and beef were both outstanding. Unfortunately, our table was wobbly and couldn’t be fixed although they did try. I’d like to go there again and try the tasting menu.

We enjoyed an excellent meal! The last time I visited Menton the menu offered two prix fixe meals - tastings - one of five courses and one of eight. While the food was incredibly good and the servings were modest, even the five course offering was too much food. This time, there was a wonderful a la carte menu of excellent offerings and an eight course tasting with no requirement to order all eight courses. This is an attentive staff who follow the leads and needs of their audience. Service was excellent, the food and the choices were outstanding and the evening was a complete delight.

I had not been to Menton for some time. I was staying in Boston for Thanksgiving and staying near the restaurant. The place was kind of empty on the Friday lunch after Thanksgiving. The food wasn't bad-just nothing memorable. And the menu was quite minimal. Even given the minimal menu, the restaurant didn't have the crab bisque-supposedly no crabs to be had in the market and no replacement either. The ravioli was decent-but nothing I haven't had many times in the past. There was no chicken, duck, pork, lamb-in other words nothing but a strip loin if you wanted a hearty lunch-and we did.

If you are going to serve lunch in an upscale restaurant-serve lunch. If that is not a paying proposition do not bother. I could have gone to L'Espalier as an alternative and indeed I should have done. I will complement the server. He was professional, accommodating and tried to make everything right. He was well trained.

Excellent dining and service experience. Our waiter, Nick, was very attentive and patient. He made great food recommendations. We had the Seared Foie Gras for starters, Arctic Char & Roasted Sirloin as our Entree. Enjoyed all of it.
We’re looking to dine in this restaurant again when we come back to Boston.

We had a wonderful experience here. We went all in with the "chef's whim", plus the wine flight, and it was fantastic. I don't eat meat, and the staff were wonderfully accommodating, substituting fish and other options in place of the meat courses. We also recommend having a craft cocktail at the bar first - the bartender (whose name we didn't get) was outstanding.

Finally made a visit to Menton after many years of wanting to go. Found the staff to be excellent and the space was very warm in its contemporary way. The food was excellent. While we did not have the tasting menu, we thoroughly enjoyed appetizers, a shared gnocchi and entrees. We started with cocktails that were perfect and each had a glass of wine that our server chose to compliment our meals. Both were very good. Looking forward to going back some day for the tasting menu.

I really love Menton. The food, wine, and service are superb. I'll miss the previous iteration of slightly more sleek and formal decor, the new space is a nice update that stays true to the vision of the restaurant. Don't miss the amazing cheese cart!

The food was good - not the most creative I've experienced, but luxe overall and a few real standouts. But what blew us away was the service. Everyone who interacted with us (and there were many, ready to tend to every nuance before we even noticed) was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu and experience. We had so much fun talking with the staff about the subtleties of the wine and courses, and they were so nice and so playful. It was such a good time.

my daughter was flying In From Los Angeles for a special weekend. We were excited to enjoy the tasting menu and wine pairings at Menton. For whatever reason they did not have room for us in the main dining room despite the fact that I had made this reservation a month ago and confirmed the morning of. needless to say it ruined the entire ambience of the night. I am quite tall and the seat that they gave me to sit in was one like one I sat in when I was in 4th grade parochial school. hard, small uncomfortable. We decided to just order al la carte and get out. Food was good but it was frustrating to watch the main dining room be 1/3 empty as we ate our meal.

Never again

Back to Les Spalier the best French resteraunt in town with great service and a truly wonderful dining experience.

Menton not so much.

Interesting decor...country french sophisticated. Wooden top country tanles no tablecloths woth modern decor. Urban country romantic..wait staff really well trained and bery helpful and friendly and no the rules of good dining. The menu was also interesting...not classic french but so what! The food was very nice. We had the foi gras and lamb ravioli for first course...it rivals any 4-5 star restaurant and Ive been at the best. The raviolis were large perfectly cooked and the lamb mmmmm. The foi gras..what can i say..the breads were moist tasty and diverse...all i needed was
this bread and wine and i would have been content. Entre..wife had lamb and i had streak...the vegetables and seasoning were superb, the steak cooked exactly as i ordered the cut perfect ..the lamb the same.....and then desert...no complaints...we spent 2 hours The wine list was full range from glasses to $ 3500 bottles. I guess not hard to guess that we loved this experience..

I have been planning to visit Menton for some time and on the occasion of my sisters birthday I made a reservation to celebrate with her. It was everything I had hoped. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff and service was A+. We were treated with personalized service making you feel as if you were the only people there. I had the the sear foie gras as a starter that was unbelievable. My entree was lamb that was so tender that a knife wasn't necessary. We had a pinot noir that had been used for a tasting the previous night. It was also magnificent. I'm so happy I finally got to experience Menton and will definite be returning over and over again.

Menton was great. Delicious food and even better service. The staff was knowledgeable and the timing of the kitchen was poignant. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it. I would definitely go back — if I had a gift certificate!

Fabulous meal, fabulous staff, amazing wine pairing. This is the new best restaurant I have been to in Boston, period. I am surprised they are not Michelin rated. I will go back again and again.

We went for my daughter's 28th birthday. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the service and attention to detail were on point. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or to have a romantic dinner as well.

We had a great meal!The foods are superb. I and my son had the Foiegras, lamb and beef; they were cooked to perfection. My husband's fish was great as well. The service was excellent! We came from New York to celebrated my son's (He is in school at Boston) birthday. They make him feels very special! They brought out extra dessert and the cherry on the top was the manager showed us the kitchen. What a memorable evening!

Simply amazing food. Small extremely elaborated portions. Service is extremely kind, never rushing you, not too sticky, and there exactly when you need it.
They have their own cow, Babette, to make the butter they serve you! Can it be any cooler than that?
My only - tiny - wish is that they have real espresso.

What a fantastic restaurant! The ambience was excellent. A real gem offering fine dining and a fantastic selection of wine. Alissa our server was superb, pairing the wine wonderfully with the delicious food! An unforgettable evening! I definitely hope to return in the not too distant future..

Had early reservation before meetings in the evening. Very personable wait staff. Knew menu and made appropriate suggestions. Delightful evening and would have stayed longer if did not have commitment elsewhere.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Menton and it was beyond phenomenal! From start to finish the service was fantastic! We did the full tasting menu and each plate was incredibly beautiful and full of perfectly matched and exciting flavors! At the end of the meal we were even lucky enough to get a quick tour of the kitchen, I highly recommend Menton without hesitation!!

We had been dying to try Barbara Lynch's French restaurant for years--especially since it was made less frou-frou a few years ago-- and our 25th anniversary seemed an appropriate occasion. I mentioned the anniversary when I made the reservation, and right from the start we received warm, friendly treatment from all staff. (Lots of "Happy Anniversary" greetings.) Then, they served us complimentary champagne, along with a free small salad. I could not decide on a cocktail, so the bartender concocted one just for me! The food was great of course, but the dessert was the highlight. I'd say it was one of the best, if not THE best restaurant dessert I've ever had. (Milk chocolate mille feulles) There were so many elements to this--figs, hazelnut ice cream, several kinds of chocolate, sauces..) And they wrote an anniversary greeting in chocolate on the plate. A fabulous experience all round!
