The restaurant was great! The staff were amazing and truly a treat! The food was delicious and the flavors balanced and meshed very well. Would recommend!
Sat at the Chefs Table and it was amazing. Perfect for celebrations. Staff was so personable and kind!
Best fine dining in Boston! The food was fantastic.
Husband’s 30th birthday!!
Great food! Amazing service! Nice way to spend our anniversary dinner.
One of the best French restaurant in Boston. We really enjoyed.
Great food, killer cocktails, really nice waitstaff
Our very favorite special occasion restaurant -- where everything is impeccable!
Beautiful dining room, delicious tasting menu and lovely staff. Thanks for a great birthday!
Quite disappointed by these restaurant supposed to be one of the best in town. It is the first time in my life I'm not finishing all my plates in this kind of restaurant. Several courses have been ruined by too much sugar, making them to heavy, especially the foie gras (cake + caramelized crème fraiche). Overall the food was good but not amazing as it should be for a restaurant with prices as high as restaurants with Michelin star(s). Nice wine list though, and understandable staff when the wine need to be changed (corked in our case).
Service was exquisite and the dinner was sensational. Truly a special evening! Can’t wait to come back again!
Meal was very good up to the main dish. My wife got the supplemental upgrade of American Wagyu (for $40). It did not taste like wagyu, plus the it was end of the loin, which made it very dry and tough (ordered medium rare). I myself do not set beef, so I notified the staff in the beginning. All the kitchen did was providing me a piece of fish with the same sauce/supplements as the beef dish. I would expect one to provide me a new dish (given the kitchen would have this ready).
Last mistake was giving my fish dish the wrong wine (we had the wine pairing). One would assume that a different wine would be offered given my dish.
The service and food were excellent. It is a great go to place for a special occasion.
Superb food and service. Great advice about wine pairings.
Flexibility of a la carte menu is appreciated.
Loved it ; can’t wait to go back .
We were expecting our usual extraordinary dining experience that we have come to expect, it was far from that.
1. Service was choppy and tough to communicate with staff.
2. Wine service was poor. Had to ask for the wine to be decanted multiple times.
3. We opted for ala carte (3 courses) and there were more missed than hits. The pasta dishes lacked the flavor we would have expected. The crudo appetizer was drowning in liquid. It was more a soup than a crudo. Duck was dry.
4. Cheese course was awful. Small portions and only 3 options. This was a huge disappointment. We so look
forward to this course,
5. Dessert was very good as well as parting chocolates.
We will chalk it up the pandemic and hope for a better experience next time.
Extremely disappointed across the board - Did the Chef's whim tasting menu - Couldn't find a course that was reasonably enjoyable - Should not be mentioned as the only 5-star restaurant in Boston or one that could/should earn Michelin status.
Highly recommend the Chef's tasting menu. What an unbelievable and delicious experience. They say its 8 courses but its more like 12 or 13. We left so happy. Worth every dollar.
Everything so good. Observation, I do not know how often servers changed gloves. I saw servers cleaning and serving tables with the same gloves?? And why the name Menton does not appears on the menue?
I highly recommend the restaurant. The preparation of the food served was superb!!!. Barbara and team, hats off.
Excellent food and service! Portions were perfect!
It used to be my fav restaurant in Boston. The quality seemed to drop a bit this time.
Wedding dinner with family
Food was very good except the sweetbread that needs a lot if work or be retired, the sofrito was awful. The dessert with lemon was too overpowered by the lemon. Service was excellent. A bit too pricey though. Wine selection really good and priced reasonably.
Wonderful Michelin star worthy experience!
Amazing food, great service!
We had a great time at Menton. We went there for our wedding anniversary and participated in the chef’s tasting menu and wine pairing. The food and the wine were both delightful, however, we did feel a bit rushed when the staff would overlap our wines..which felt like we were being pushed to finish our previous glass so they could bring the next course. Overall, it was a nice experience and we would definitely go back.
The food, wine cocktails the best in Boston by far. The food was even better than last year. Menton is a treasure !
Food is ok but service is bad.
Staff was amazing!
The perfect dinner for our wedding night! Every dish and every drink was perfect and the dining room was beautiful. The servers curated a perfect experience! That is why we go to Menton often!
Fantastic as usual, great service and amazing food
Great food! I tried things ive never would try and like them! Very delicious!
Menton is everything I look for in fine dining: incredible food, beautiful restaurant, and unparalleled service. We participated in the the "Chef's Whim," and it did not disappoint!
Very disappointing. Do not understand how it receives 5 stars and 5 diamonds or how it is a member of Relais et Chateaux. It's a neighborhood restaurant with some pretense, not a world-class dining experience. Loud, stark ambiance, painfully plain tables, good but not exceptional food, good wines, inattentive service with quite a bit of froideur, no sommelier present. Those ordering the tasting menu seemed to receive more attention. Was supposed to go back in a couple of weeks with my best friend for the tasting menu, cancelled the reservation again.
The service was great. Very good ambiance, very simple yet elegant. The food was splendid. Will go back
I have become a regular, this restaurant has become one of my favorites in Seaport. Outstanding customer service and the food is delicious.
It was truly amazing
So glad to see Menton open again. Highly recommend the chef's tasting + wine pairing if you want the true Menton experience. Did a great job with practicing safety protocols with masks, gloves, etc.
Excellent food and service. They remembered our special occasion and wished us. Very happy with the experience
