The Fort Point neighborhood’s urban cityscape, with its blend of historic brick buildings and sleek design statements, is the perfect setting for Menton, Chef Barbara Lynch's modern interpretation of fine dining.

With beautifully executed cuisine, an unparalleled wine program, warm hospitality, and a glamorous setting, Menton seeks to excite, inspire, and transport guests. Pristine ingredients and refined technique are the basis for seasonally inspired menus. A six-seat bar, with additional seating for ten at tables along a banquette, features expertly crafted cocktails and beers from both near and far. A carefully curated wine list highlights small grower champagnes and rare vintages from lesser-known vineyards.

In addition to the dining room and bar, Menton boasts two private event spaces perfect for gathering with colleagues, friends, or family.

Best restaurant in Boston!! We always come here during our visits to the city. Besides the excellent food and wine, the service is outstanding.

We arrived and were assaulted by a sewer smell at the front door. The smell continued inside. We were seated but the smell was intense. We had to leave. They were gracious and did not charge us a cancellation fee. Someone else told us they had a similar experience and it turned out to be the cheese tray. I find that hard to believe. I like good smelly cheeses, but if this was a cheese tray they should keep it in the next state. This was a distinct and overwhelming smell of a backed up sewer. Too bad. I would have liked to try Menton

We had the best time at Menton. The servers were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The food was fantastic and all of the small details added up. A wonderful experience overall.

our waitress Tricia was a joy. The Vermont wagyu beef was excellent. Tricia recommended wines and dessert which we loved. Nice evening celebrating a birthday. Next time will do chef tasting menu!

Very expensive and extremely small portions. Service also was very slow and they messed up an entree order which for the price shouldn’t happen. Everything needed salt. Overall it was a crazy expensive meal that didn’t live up to the hype and was disappointing

Menton is one of my favorite destination restaurants. I have been celebrating my birthday there for the last few years. My expectations are always exceeded - especially when Jean is taking care of us. He is one of the best in the industry - so genuine and a true gem of a person. Thank you for a night to remember!

Food was delectable. Service and atmosphere equally appealing. Only complaint is that the waiter offered a souffle on the house as the fois gras did not appeal to us and then charged us for it.

The service staff was top n notch and knowledgeable. The indoor resturant was spacious enough with high ceiling , most staff wearing masks, that I was comfortable eating indoors during covid/delta (9/8/21). We had the tasting menu with wine paring. Each course was wonderful and the pairings were spot on. The course (corn chowder with crab) and the course of turbot) were our favorite. The course with pork was not my favorite (personal preference) and the rabbit course was very nice. The bread served was boring. We ordered foie gras torchion for an upcharge; itwas delicious and worth the extra cost IMO.

It’s not as good as it used to be. Wonderful staff but the quality of the food has definitely deteriorated since I was last here about four years ago.

In 2021, there are so many better options in Boston at this price point. Definitely not worth the time or money.

The Foie Gras, salted bread and souffle were excellent. The main courses were small for the cost. The wagyu beef, while cooked perfectly was lacking seasoning. For a diamond AAA rated restaurant, it did not seem to reflect in our experience.

Unfortunately, food was below average. We took the testing menu and enjoyed only the nactarine salad and the desserts. The rabbit dish was bitter, we hardly touch it, they did not ask why... Dinner cost us 470$ :-( We were willing to pay it for good experience, but left the restaurant really dissapointed.

I struggled writing this experience I had at Menton because I wanted to recommend the place but I don’t think I can. I was excited dining given the high claim it has received. The service was fine but nothing I would say exemplary. There was very minimal conversation between the front end of the house. I can’t recall them checking in me.

As far for the food, some were clunkers, some I struggled to enjoy, some overly seasoned. The proteins were however cooked very well. None of them were bad but none of the dishes gave me that “omg” moment eating and overall felt underwhelmed. Maybe a bad night at the kitchen or wrong season for me to dine to.

The highlights were the cocktails. It was a much needed one in the hot and humid day.

Overall I’m hesitant recommend this place right now.

The wine pour was ridiculously skimpy
The beef was not tender or succulent and was served too cold
There was a lot to appreciate about the ingredients but granola bites were a big miss for me

What a disappointment! This 5-star restaurant missed the mark by a wide margin. I ordered the "chef's whim" tasting menu. Of the 7 courses, 2 were exceptional--the "raviolo al ouvo" with shaved black truffle and the seared foie gras (which was a supplemental charge) with cherries and oats. The Berkshire pork dish was okay at best, and the turbot while excellent was overpowered by the saltiness of the caviar. The rabbit must have hopped off of my plate because it was almost impossible to find. The blueberry dessert is what happens when the pastry chef tries to "get fancy" but forgets about the taste; a warm slice of low bush blueberry pie with a dollop of vanilla ice cream would have been far better. The nectarine first course seemed like an after-thought; I have more flavorful nectarines in my refrigerator. Even the amuse bouche was non-descript. Worst of all was the fact that I saw my primary server when he took my order and when he brought me the bill (which I had to request after 10 minutes of waiting); that was it. Two people who brought me most of the courses had memorized most of the ingredients of each dish but were unable to answer any of my questions. On this trip to Boston, I ate at Mooo, Atlantic Fish Company, Bistro du Midi and No. 9 Park, in addition to Menton, and without a doubt, my worst dining experience was at Menton.

We went to this restaurant because it's available at that time of that day and it's a Michelin 3 star equivalent restaurant. However it turned out that it's hard to be at the level of the New York City Michelin star restaurant.

We ate at the Chef’s table for an immaculate 7 course tasting menu. No wine pairings but our waiter James recommended two great bottles - a white and a red. The food was superb, with expertly flavored sauces, thoughtful harmonies of ingredients, and artistic preparation and presentation. I was blown away by the Turbot with brown butter foam and searocket sauce - a dish to remember. The chef’s table at Menton is truly one of the legendary meals in Boston and I very highly recommend it.

Food was beautifully plated, but under seasoned. One of our pasta entrees was very slightly undercooked, but served luke warm. Wines were excellent, and their by-the-glass selection is one of the best values we’ve experienced at this caliber of restaurant.

We had an outstanding experience with the tasting menu. The chef and the kitchen prepared our dinner with a perfection that deserves a Michelin star (if they covered Boston). The service was as good as the food and our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Boston if not "the best." We will definitely repeat.

The place is an eclectic restaurant, with a very particular interior design that more resembles a tavern but with a gourmet menu. The service was not good, very intermittent some dishes arrived at the table very fast another take too much. I got a mixed feeling about the place, but probably not a place to return.

I love Barbara Lynch. I think for a restaurant like Menton she should not open if the proper staff is not available. Wait to go when and if things stabilize.
