I had a staff dinner at Menara and everyone loved the experience. The decor was inviting and authentic. The food was fantastic. I don’t think anyone had anything left on their plates!
Always a great experience. Order the multi-course meals -- we like the Moroccan, and a couple of Morrocan Magic drinks to go with (Mai Tai - like), and you're set. They provide utensiles, but eat with your hands! Great from salad to baclava and mint tea. The honeyed lamb is amazing, and the chicken is so tender you just suck the meat from the bones. Every time I take guests, they always comment on what a amazing time they had. Oh and bring some smaller bills for the belly dancer!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. I found it online and gave it a chance. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and the music compliments the mood. I had a large meal with many types of food to try and all were absolutely amazing. It is very clear that the cook and staff take pride in this restaurant. I am already planning to go back again with a larger group.
Had a great time here. Was treated like an honored member of a rich family. The belly dancing was entertaining and a lot of fun. I hope this place stays around.
We went a Saturday night. It felt like being in Marocco, very exotic. We were seated close to another table, we had the feeling to be too noisy for them, a bit of space could be good. The service was professional but stressed. The food was excellent.
Great place for all events. Food and entertainment are just fabulous. Exotic and energetic. You will not be disappointed.
Food was mediocre a bit tasteless
It was our first time and we loved it. Good food, and a wonderful experience!
We went on a Sunday night - not knowing that the restaurant would be virtually empty and that there was no show that night. So we paid a lot extra for a show - none. The menu lacked options - basically, they had 4 prix fixe meals.
No real tables - you sit on cushions or low benches. At first, this was fun - but after a while, it got very uncomfortable.
Yes and no. They really need to update the inside. It is old, dingy and dirty.
Wonderful, totally recommend it. Nice atmosphere, good food and prices.
Very fun place if you like good food and entertainment.
There were 8 in our group. There also was a large private party in another room. There were only 2 waitresses to serve both groups and one of the them was also the bartender as well as preparing our bill. They did their best but really could have used one more server. Our group enjoyed the food and several said they would return.
Good food but a little quiet that night, probably due to Easter Sunday. Great food!
Great food, great ambiance, great belly dancing! Good value!
Wonderful place for friends to sit around low tables for family style meals and belly dancers. Good ambiance for children as well as adults
Absolutely delicious. Great service. Ambiance is perfect. We really enjoyed ourselves.
We really want it to like it after reading all reviews we had to much expectations, but food was no good only bastilla was well made and tasted like morrocan food. Food was bad and it’s overpriced we won’t go back again probably only to watch belly dance and have a drink in the bar
We toke all food home we wore not able to eat it but we can’t waist almost 100dlls sort of food we just end up giving it away
The decor it’s nice I hope they fix the menu and the prices they need to visit morroco to know what’s real morrocan food (the sauce on the fish was nice that’s about it)
Music played couple of songs then stop and started again same couple of songs over and over.
We had a fun evening. The food was good and the baklava was delicious.
The dining room was large and dark, with tables around the edge. They have music/dance at 8pm each night, so the place fills up very gradually, and the service is faster if you come earlier. We were a large group, so we shared seven meals between eight people, and had food left over. The fish (no bones), chicken kebabs, and lamb roasted in honey were the favorites. We had just over an hour, so we had to take the baklava to go and missed the mint tea at the end. Very comfortable and not too loud.
Pros: the service and the belly dancers, the bastilla and the honey lamb.
Cons: the restaurant has been in business for over 40 years and it appears that they haven't updated the interior since then, including the carpet and other aspects. The first course was rather bland, as was the chicken with preserved lemons and event the mint tea. This could be a wonderful, fun place with a little tweaking and TLC.
I love how attentive the restaurant was to my food allergies and preferences. The live bellydance shows were beautiful and the food was excellent. Definitely going there again. Have I mentioned how attentive the staff is? Kudos to the wonderful hostess that made me confident that my food would be handled with care. Love this place.
Wonderful experience - gorgeous atmospher all around! Food was delcious - Loved it!
Great time with friends and the entertainment was great food was also vary flavorful
I have a wonderful experience, the food was exquisite and the service excellent, definitively I will be back to try a different dish.
Such a cool experience!! Service was exceptional!
We were a group of seven on new year's eve. They had increased the price to flat $50 per person with a fixed (and worse) menu without any prior notice either online or outside the restaurant. The food was very uninspired and less in quantity. The bread were cold and white - did i say no selection. Belly dance very ordinary.
Service was fine and the waitress was courteous, but the food was terrible, shrimps were almost raw, tea was not real fresh mint in a Moroccan teapot (it was tea bags). Cheap hard plastic plates. I would not recommend this restaurant unless belly dancing is what you're looking for.
I've been going to Menara Moroccan restaurant for about 30 years now and it has really good food, it gives you a chance to relax, the live entertainment is very good, and all the staff is very friendly.
Loved the dancing, excellent bellydancers! Service was excellent, nice ambience.
I would give it five star, but they don’t have any entertainment on Sunday. They have it Tues-Sat and not sure why Tues and not Sunday!?!
Menara has priced their meals to exclude the general public, and now caters to those earning big bucks. The food is good but there is no way it's worth ~$40/person. I ate there long ago when the same dish was $16, before Menara got GREEDY.
An amazing authentic Moroccan dining experience. Will beer back for sure.
Disappointed about the food but ambiance was great. Good service.
Food is expensive, choice is limited, quantity is small and taste is less than expected
A great place to spend a long lunch with a dear friend, catching up on our recent news.
We live in an area of limited ethnic food and have no Morracan restaurant around. We enjoy our dinner here which was very good. Portions, however, are much smaller with two people than a big group.
This place used to have an a la carte menu, now they have changed it to a set menu. Between the courses they take a lot of time, but you cannot use that time to talk with people at your table because the music is turned up loud for the dancers. This is no longer a family friendly restaurant, no opportunity to sit back and relax. We spent 2 hours here over dinner, and were hardly able to have a decent conversation. Looks like the management is really trying to make this a hangout place for non-families. We're not going back there.
Menu changed, only have combo options, very expensive. Food has small portion, and drunk is average. There is a dead fly in my friend wine glass, disgusting!
Great food and wonderful experience. Re made a dish for me to account for an allergen that I forgot to mention before.
