Meme Mediterranean on 10th
After much success in the West Village, the duo is proud to open a second location of the same name in Hell's Kitchen. Keeping with tradition of great hospitality and good food, Méme provides a cozy atmosphere and flavorful dishes using Mémé Cohen’s own hand-ground paprika. Chef Jacob continues to impress with his culinary creativity and generosity.
Great little Mediterranean restaurant in Hells Kitchen area. Our waitress was so nice and helpful and food was very good! We sat outside which was very noisy and so loud with all the ambulances out that evening.
Enjoyed a simple meal before the theatre. Tapas and a salad and all prepared very well. A nice solid bite to eat. Would go back and explore more of the menu.
Nice local atmosphere.
Friendly casual , neighborhood family feel.
Food well prepared.
Weird menu. Good food
Excellent food - full of flavor, nicely presented. Very friendly and professional service. Nice space: open, casual, welcoming. Only complaint: A lot of hard surfaces, so the noise level is very high. It's nice that there are a few tables outdoors, but the noise and fumes of 10th Avenue are not very appealing.
The food was fabulous! The staff was very friendly as was the owner. I would highly recommend and would definitely go back next time I’m in the city!
Food was wonderful; tasty and beautifully prepared. The service was great as well. My only negative was that the noise level was high for my taste
Meme provides decent food and a pleasant setting for dinner if you're in far west Hell's Kitchen. On a previous visit, I had the chicken tagine, which was good. This time around I tried the couscous, which was excellent except for the lamb, which was gamey--disappointing, because I usually love Mediterranean/Middle Eastern style lamb. Still, it's just a few minutes' walk to the Signature Center if you're seeing a show there and want to have dinner at a non-pub style, non-touristy restaurant.
Excellent food, service. Very very noisy, unfortunately!
Absolutely delicious! We had the mushrooms, the octopus, and the chicken “tacos.” All 3 were full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. Would love to eat here again.
Food was delicious plentiful and nicely presented. Staff was courteous and solicitous. Definitely recommend and definitely will return.
A solid neighborhood option. The food was fresh and the service friendly if a bit relaxed.
Always have loved this restaurant and the food/service, just noise level means it's not ideal for a quiet evening meal, but I understand that's the norm and not a lot you can do about it. Amazing food and service!
A very pleasant place with good food and a service and a comfortable, unpressurized, neighborhood vibe.
Definitely! A charming neighborhood place with delicious food. Will make this a repeat when next in New York.
Food is amazing! Very delicious. Place has about 10 tables indoors with outside seating in good weather. Make reservations. The place was crowded on a weeknight. After 9pm is a better chance to get a table without reservations. Can be an intimate romantic atmosphere or just a casual place with some friends.
Server was excellent and so was food
Ideal pre theater dinner. Professional staff who know how to get you in and out without feeling rushed, terrific menu with wide variety of tapas that are perfect for sharing.
Lovely place in every respect.
I have been to Meme over 50 times and bring people there all the time. The lobster risotto is my favorite dish and I also love the seafood platter. And make sure you get the lava cake
Another super enjoyable lunch at Meme before a matinee. Their big windows with all that natural light and friendly yet polished, and I dare say, joyful service, perfectly complements some of the most delicious Greek food I've had in NY.
A hidden gem in the neighborhood. Food is always fantastic, specials really add some variation. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and well-trained. The owners always seem to be overseeing every detail, which is a nice touch. Cannot recommend this spot enough!
Fabulous food; mediocre service. Was there for brunch...seemed like the server forgot us.
I love this place... this is my go to place for brunch. I love the staff, very well located, love the food and drinks and just the place to go on a date.
I always have a great time at Mémé. The service is amazing and the food is perfection.
We were there for lunch. Once restaurant was filled became very noisy. Food good & tasty. Service a little slow as we were waiting for our food for a time.
Had the grilled octopus salad which was tasty, but could have used more octopus and the roasted cauliflower with tahini dressing, which was also good. My friend ordered a shrimp dish which initially was under cooked. It was re-done and she enjoyed it very much. People seemed to order the mixed appetizer plate with falafel, hummus, tabouli, etc which looked delicious. The food came very fast. I would definitely return.
A++ great service, great food. Can’t ask for a better location!
Great food and service!
The food was fresh and the service was friendly. Great location and easy to get to the theater district from the restaurant.
I dined with two friends and we were generally satisfied with the meal. We shared an appetizer plate and liked everything. My main course, lamb shank tagine, was the best choice of our three. One friend ordered fish, which was good, while the other ordered a mixed seafood plate, which was lackluster with some components slightly overcooked.
I would definitely return (this was not my first time there). I like the ambience, the service and most of the food. I'm eager to have that tagine again.
Meme is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. We've taken many friends there over the years, and we've always had a great meal and a good time.
When been a couple of times now and the ambience and food are both amazing! The service on our Saturday visit was awful.
It was too noisy! When will NYC restaurants recognize that noise is antithetical to a good dining experience.
The food was very tasty and the service was just okay, but this would have been fine if not for the insane noise level. With wooden floors and ceiling, voices at every table were amplified and it was impossible to have a conversation without almost shouting. I’ve never been a restaurant that loud, where all I wanted to do was eat quickly so I could get out and give my ears a rest. Meme Mediterranean should consider investing in some serious noise control measures.
Everything about our visit was outstanding! We can't wait to visit again!!!
Food was amazing. A little loud inside but the food is worth it
We arrived on time for our table, but were shuffled into a small corner between too larger full tables. Barely even enough room to get into the spot, and no room for comfort or private conversation. It was disappointing given how much we frequent the restaurant. We ended up sitting at the bar because the table was not comfortable for dining.
Very good Mediterranean restaurant in the theatre district.
The food is amazing and so are the cocktails. Compared to some places, the menu is reasonably priced. I'll definitely come back. The service is a little rushed though.
