    The place is lovely and clean however the food was terrible. Everything from the appetizer to dessert was not good at all.

    We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Meltemi, including outstanding whole crispy calamari; pastitsio (a little dry); whole grilled branzino; fasolakia; spanakopita; eggplant chips; and baklava.

    The bifteki reminded me of Greece... the fries and souvlaki were great too. I'll be coming back and trying other dishes. I grew up in Astoria, so the bar is very high :)

    The service was ok but the food quality and pricing were not good. Octopus appetizer was so not worth the price. One single layered small round plate with absolutely nothing but the octopus with a lemon wedge was not worth $25.99. Should have been bigger and with other ingredients. Also, did not like the beef and lamb gyro. No lettuce and very little tomato in it and the meat had a weird taste. Spinach spanakopita and zucchini chips were greasy. All in all not good food quality and not worth the cost.

    We liked how staff was very friendly and owner came over. We thought at first that was great but he wanted us to know one of the dinners was not what we expected. He said if we wanted to try and did not like it no issue could order something else. My husband got his dinner the cod was very tough, George never came back to Check on his dinner. If they don’t like it and have issues should not be on menus. Crazy
