The welcome was very warm, and service - by Antonio - could not have been friendlier or more professional. Appetizers and main dishes were delicious, and desserts absolutely outstanding, especially the creme brulee. We'll definitely be making Melograno a regular resource.
We had dinner on a Saturday night and the place was jumping. Service was good and the food excellent. Loved the dorad, pork chop and lamb shank. The arugula salad was fine and the roasted veggies for an additional appetizer were outstanding. Love the fact that Melograno is a BYOB.
There were 6 of us and everyone had a great experience. We never felt rushed, every appetizer and meal was perfection! Love this restaurant
Always a great meal and value.
Everything was delicious and good service.
With a reservation well in advance we were seated about 25 minutes after our reservation time which shouldn’t happen.
The food was excellent (as always). The restaurant was hosting what appeared to be a rehearsal dinner and I think that the threw off the service. It was slow and not nearly as attentive as it usually is, but I will still go back
Everything as usual was delicious. The mushroom tartuffe farfalle is always spectacular. We had the special of duck bolognese. Yummy. So we had 2 appetizers and 2 dinners and the tab was 65.00 bucks.
My wife and I eat at this restaurant quite often. This is the place we choose to take guests when they visit Philadelphia. My family is Italian and this simply feels like home. Nothing is quite like your grandmother’s cooking but I certainly know she would approve. The food and service are consistently wonderful. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant.
Love this place! Can’t wait to go back
Order anything and everything. It’s all great.
Make sure you keep room for the tiramisu. It is served in a stainless steel bowl and it is to die for! Absolutely amazing.
Excellent food and service. Our server Nick was amazing. Everything made in house and fresh.
Selected this restaurant for a birthday celebration with friends. The food and service were great!
We went early with a baby and it was perfect for all. Lots of room at the table, great service, wonderful food and BYOB. What more can you ask for?
The food was delicious! We enjoyed our evening very much!
Fabulous restaurant experience! Please try Fraschetta in Bryn Mawr as well.
The food and service were awesome could not have been better
Good food. Uninspired service
Eccezionale! Everything delicious! The truffled papardelle will bring me back! The octopus was made perfectly. The lamb, polenta, and spinach were beautifully flavorful. The panna cotta with sambuca was so perfectly light and balanced. Such an expert touch to the food. I can't tell you what a beautiful night it was. Splendid!
The food is very good-especially the pasta dishes and mussels. Madamioslle had the risotto and shrimp and is was good but a little flat tasting. Always too noisy and seems like on this Sat, they they overbooked. We waited 20 min after our reservation time to be seated.(other diners were waiting for their reservations as well) and the waitstaff seemed distracted and overwhelmed.
There were six of us, all ordering something different. Food came reasonably promptly and was delicious.
My pleasure in the evening was really reduced by the noise level in the restaurant. Tables are close together; there is nothing to absorb or soften sound and it was hard to hear across the table. There is also no place to stand or sit while waiting for a reservation. We waited quite a while, dodging waiters and other patrons.
Needed to eat and leave within an hour. Enjoyed the food, which was excellent. The service was terrific.
We were able to get to our commitment on time. Great experience.
Great food but noise level is deafening - don’t go if you’re trying to catch up with friends- can’t hear each other!!
Great as always. For starters we had the mussels and octopus. Octopus portion size was on the small side but delicious. The mussels are excellent along with the broth. For dinner we both had the wild mushroom with truffle oil pasta. This is our go to, and IMO one of best items on the menu. Overall a great experience and looking forward to going back in the near future.
Great service and really enjoyed our dinner
We really enjoyed the food items on the regular menu. However we ordered two entree specials which were mediocre and overpriced. Nice that the restaurant called to advise that they are BYOB
Great food, esp killer gnocchi. Service was excellent and lovely ambiance. Very enjoyable.
Always consistently great! Very social BYO right near home... off nights are non-existent here..great value!
Overhyped place with regular Italian food ...
We had the calamari which was really good, not the typical breaded and fried. We also got 2 pasta dishes that were excellent. The pasta is made fresh eveyday
The dinners were excellent for everyone and service was very good
We each enjoyed salad and small plate, just the right amount of food. Everything was delicious. Servers were pleasant and helpful. Window table away from noise was a great spot.
Waiter was unprofessional and petty. Not the first time.
Restaurant week: good value for three course dinner. Food and service was great!
Wonderful restaurant - food was excellent, friendly servers, and able to have a conversation and be heard
Best BYOB restaurant in Philly, I was really amazed by how delicious the food is here.
Always the best!
We have been several times and its always very good
We had an excellent dinner at this wonderful Center City Italian restaurant. This is one of 3 Philadelphia area BYOBs owned by this creative chef and restauranteur couple, and all are fabulous and have become our favorites!
Food was excellent the service was great I will becoming back .
Fabulous, original food. Everything I ate was outstanding-- crepe, wild boar, desserts. I also tasted meals others had and wonderful food. Only complaint was that my birthday wasn't acknowledged when I came in--only when dessert served to other guests and I shared their fabulous desserts.
My friend left wine in car so she had to go back to get it and that slowed things up, but that was her fault, not restaurant's.
