Just overall very fair, was disappointed. Went for restaurant week and was expecting better after having heard good things. Service people seemed cranky which set a weird tone/vibe.
We went for restaurant week. Food was great, but like others, we found the place rather loud.
We went to Melograno for restaurant week. It was our first time at the restaurant and we were very happy with our choice. The RW menu had many offerings and half of our party of 6 opted for it. All of our dinners were superb, as was the service. Really like the open kitchen ambience. We will go back soon!
Great at accommodating food allergies.
Great food and wonderful service.
I love Melograno. I have noticed in last 2 visits that they have the lights much brighter than they used to. For me, this is much less pleasant, sort of like being in a fishbowl as opposed to a more comfy relaxed atmosphere. The food, as always, very very good. Service as well. I would have preferred to have more time to sit and relax over the food, rather than feeling a little rushed.
Wonderful BYOB, truly one of the best Italian food destinations in the area. We’ll be back.
The service and venue was great but I expected better flavors out of the food.
Interesting restaurant. We were barely greeted by the hostess who would stare at the reservations on the ipad. The rest of the staff were in all black but she was in white tennis shoes and blue jeans which was a little strange. We had reservations for 8:30PM but our table was not ready. When asked when our table would be ready, she said she wasn't sure and then walked away.
Excellent food and service! Wonderful atmosphere around Christmas!
This is my second time coming to Melograno. Food and service is good. I had the Cotoletta which is Breaded, Chicken Breast, Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Arugula, Tomatoes. It wasn’t bad but I wish the mozzarella was a bit melted. Not the plate I would recommend specially at $22 and it’s nothing special, but it wasnt bad. Other members in the table liked their plates, Risotto was good and so was the Lamb or Agnello plate. Desserts were delicious. Good for a date or special occasion.
Excellent Food! Service was great! Highly recommend.
First time a this wonderful BYOB. Will absolutely be going back. Food was amazing!
Had a great time, ask for a table by the windows if you do not want to
speak loudly to everyone at your table.
Food and service was great.
Their Pappardelle Tartufate was so good. I would go back for this dish.
The food is always on point here and you can’t beat the prices for a byob. This is my go to for Italian in Center City. It’s a little loud inside but I don’t mind it. Definitely try the octopus, the arugula salad, love the paparadelle tartufato and the Osso Bucco.
The food was amazing
Family get together with sporty 80 something auntie
Great spot, loved the food! Noisy as heck though, but this doesn’t bother me. Pasta perfecto!
The food is always delicious, but the noise level is very loud. We sat near the window which was better and the service was very good.
The food and service were both fantastic! We tried the seafood pasta and it was out of this world.
You will not be disappointed with this very fine Italian Restaurant. We've dine there for years.
One of our favorite BYO's -- top 5 -- in downtown Philly. Never disappoints!
Had a great meal with our son and 17 month old grandson. Very kid friendly
The welcome was very warm, and service - by Antonio - could not have been friendlier or more professional. Appetizers and main dishes were delicious, and desserts absolutely outstanding, especially the creme brulee. We'll definitely be making Melograno a regular resource.
We had dinner on a Saturday night and the place was jumping. Service was good and the food excellent. Loved the dorad, pork chop and lamb shank. The arugula salad was fine and the roasted veggies for an additional appetizer were outstanding. Love the fact that Melograno is a BYOB.
There were 6 of us and everyone had a great experience. We never felt rushed, every appetizer and meal was perfection! Love this restaurant
Always a great meal and value.
Everything was delicious and good service.
With a reservation well in advance we were seated about 25 minutes after our reservation time which shouldn’t happen.
The food was excellent (as always). The restaurant was hosting what appeared to be a rehearsal dinner and I think that the threw off the service. It was slow and not nearly as attentive as it usually is, but I will still go back
Everything as usual was delicious. The mushroom tartuffe farfalle is always spectacular. We had the special of duck bolognese. Yummy. So we had 2 appetizers and 2 dinners and the tab was 65.00 bucks.
My wife and I eat at this restaurant quite often. This is the place we choose to take guests when they visit Philadelphia. My family is Italian and this simply feels like home. Nothing is quite like your grandmother’s cooking but I certainly know she would approve. The food and service are consistently wonderful. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant.
Love this place! Can’t wait to go back
Order anything and everything. It’s all great.
Make sure you keep room for the tiramisu. It is served in a stainless steel bowl and it is to die for! Absolutely amazing.
Excellent food and service. Our server Nick was amazing. Everything made in house and fresh.
Selected this restaurant for a birthday celebration with friends. The food and service were great!
We went early with a baby and it was perfect for all. Lots of room at the table, great service, wonderful food and BYOB. What more can you ask for?
The food was delicious! We enjoyed our evening very much!
Fabulous restaurant experience! Please try Fraschetta in Bryn Mawr as well.
