Gréât service and food was amazing. A little noisy but it was restaurant week so a lot of folks out.
This place is a gem the food is phenomenal. Friendly and engaging staff. It’s my favorite restaurant!
Went for restaurant week, food was amazing. Definitely will be back!
Food and service were excellent. Noise level was high.
Great service, delicious food, wonderful ambience
We were there for Restaurant week and will definitely go back. There were four of us. Everything was delicious. Standouts were the pork chops and lamb chops. We sat outside because…Covid. The inside was packed. Evidently others are less cautious. The outdoor setup was sparse compared to other restaurants in the area. But we were accommodated.
Visited for a pre-concert dinner during restaurant week. We went close to opening so it was not yet busy but pretty full by the time we left. We were very happy with the amount of options to choose from for each course. We settled on the gnocchi di semolina and burrata for the first course. Both were delicious. We both had the Tartufate for our second course because it sounded so good (who can pass on pasta and truffles?!). It smelled and tasted amazing and the portion was so large I was unable to finish it (even though I wanted to)! Dessert was simple but tasty and was a perfect ending to a satisfying meal. BYOB is the icing on the cake.
We did a girl's dinner here during restaurant week and had a fabulous time! We tried most things offered on the menu- the food was all great! We will definitely return.
Creative diverse menu, BYOB a nice option, appreciate the numerous selections available for Restaurant Week
Food was amazing!
Waitstaff was apolgetic for a delay in seating. Very busy due to restaurant week. Courses were excellent (ran out of tiramisu sadly) . A great italian restaurant that you can trust to provide delicious food and experience
Simply delicious! It’s been years since I’ve eaten at Melagrano’s. It was just as good as I remembered.
Thank you for a lovely dinner and evening!
everything was fantastic from the host to the service and most importantly the food
It’s BYOB! I missed that when booking and didn’t not come prepared. Good thing there’s a wine store a few blocks away. Food was excellent. It was busy and I think they are understaffed. It was also louder than I expected, I think because they were so busy.
Another great evening at Melograno! The staff is always so attentive, despite them being short-staffed on a busy Friday night. The homemade pasta (Amatriciana) was out of this world, my husband said the best he’s had outside of Italy. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Philly.
This BYOB always has excellent and inventive cuisine. Their burrata is superb as well as the Pinsas. Love the idea that I can bring my own wine.
This restaurant is a neighborhood gem. Decor is lovely (dark wood, soft lighting). Service is excellent. The menu has a good choice, without being excessively long or too short. And prices are very reasonable. Being a BYOB is hugely attractive because it makes it possible to dine there often.
Top notch flavor
Really good italian food. Classic dishes not found at any regular italian. A bit loud for my taste but the food was so good I will definitely come back. Be aware that it’s byob so plan ahead.
We hadn't dined at Melagrano in a few years and decided to revisit. What a wonderful meal we had! Delicious food and our server was exceptional. ill return soon.
amazing experience overall. great service and delicious food
Excelente restaurante de barrio en todos los sentidos!
Outstanding and imaginative food. It is BYOB, which makes it a particularly good value. It is a very busy place—a testament to its value and popularity—but not a place for quiet conversation.
Great food, nice ambiance
The food was great as well as the service most of the night. However at the end of the night the manager literally came over to our table and said he had a line out the door and asked us to go. We had just signed the check and my mom was still drinking her coffee. The rest of the night was great but this was so off putting. They need to manage their reservations better instead of asking people to leave while still finishing their dessert.
The food was delicious. The best Italian deserts I’ve had.
We had a blast! Food was awesome. Highly recommend
Had a very nice dinner.Nick and other servers very attentive.
Love this place! Aaron, our waiter for the night, as well as other waiters, is always so friendly and helpful with the meal choices!
Great meal! Everything was delicious as always
We had a fantastic dinner on Sunday evening.
Our server Adam was knowledgeable and professional.
The burrata salad was great.
Pasta with Mushrooms and walnuts were fantastic
And entrees of pork chop and bronzino were excellent. Thank you!!!
The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. We order a ton of food and all of it was fantastic. The pork chop and the octopus were particularly impressive.
Food was excellent! Service was wonderful. We had an earlier than typical dinner reservation because we had tickets for a comedy show later tonight, so there were plenty of open tables on an early Thursday night. The food was very very good. We were happy with the experience all around, and would definitely go back👍🏻
👍🏻👍🏻great job. As a couple with 4 children under 13 years old, we don't get out much. We had a very pleasant experience and enjoyed ourselves very much. We would definitely return and suggest it to other couples seeking the same..
My wife and I used to go to Melograno at its original location almost 15 years ago and were excited to see the new location on a recent visit. I ordered as many dishes as possible and was so impressed with everything, especially the peppercorn pork chop, the burrata, and the polpette. And the service was as great as we remember back in the day. And we got the bill and were stunned at how little it all cost - such great value.
Food was truly amazing. From the starting table bread to the dessert, each course got better. It was packed and a little noisy, but we didn’t mind. Service was just good, but I’m sure the business impacted our server’s ability to give us her full attention.
A neighborhood favorite of mine. Yummy food and excellent service.
The place was well set. Very clean. Got there and gave us a very nice table. The problem was that since we sat down they wanted to get rid of us. They tried for us to order quickly but I told her we wanted some appetizers first. She asked If we wanted to also order the main course right away.
We ordered, dine and asked for deserts. They were brought and the check almost at the same time. We did not ordered the check. We just opened a bottle of wine before ordering deserts. Some of the guests wanted coffee, so we asked for it. Since the deserts were amazing, we had one more. They took the check away and brought it with the coffee. We had to almost swallowed the bottle of good wine.
In summary, the food was really good but the service, we felt unwanted.
Delicious and nice atmosphere and service. The pasta was cooked to perfection.
Server Adam was outstanding. Timing of food coming out was perfect.
