Great and attentive wait staff and manager.
Good as always
Amazon food, service and atmosphere. Very intimate. Definitely going back, one of my new fave spots in the city!!
Delicious pasta and a beautiful restaurant. We wish we saved room for dessert
My boyfriend and I had a great time here for Valentine’s Day. Our server Antonio was very attentive and super sweet. We will be back again.
Amazing food, and a great atmosphere! Very spacious for being on a small street in the city. Would definitely recommend.
The food was fantastic and the atmosphere delightful.
Great food & ambiance.
Excellent food and excellent service from Canio.
Great pasta! Love the small pizzas special appetizers
A pleasant experience in terms of cuisine and service, but the noise level is a drawback for someone with "senior hearing." This makes holding a conversation tiring, and at least half of any dining-out experience is about communicating over pleasing food and drink.
We sat at a window table, early, and it was fine for quiet conversation. We enjoyed delicious branzino with vegetables. Our server was exceptionally prompt and helpful. I will return for early dinner and recommend that time and table to friends.
The wait to be seated was longer than I would have liked (specially considering I had a reservation) but the food and the service of the staff more than made up for it. It is certainly one of my favorite places in the city. Highly recommended.
We had not been in a year or so. You have to order thoughtfully, as in any restaurant. We didn't share, so I can only comment on my own dishes. Everything my fork touched on this visit was unambiguously first-class. We'll be back soon.
This is a good place to have a good quality affordable meal before the show. Food is good, portions could use a little upgrade in size, service is excellent, noise is almost unbearable. Apparently, younger couples who were a majority in the restaurant did not mind that.
our server, Antonio was perfect! asked about if and when we needed to leave for the theater and was attentive without being intrusive. the food was perfectly prepared and excellent (not gourmet, but very satisfying).
Excellent service, food, and overall experience. This BYOB never fails to disappoint. I believe they have recently installed some sound dampers on the ceiling which lowered the noise level to a far more manageable volume. Can't wait to go back!
Hadnt been there in a long time and was happy to find out that the food is still amazing.
The food was very good and I loved that it was BYOB! I would say my only critique is that it can get a bit loud in there and the seating can be crammed. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my dinner there for restaurant week (I went last cycle and loved it so I had to return this time)! The wild boar ragu is delicious, as well as the Polpette (meatballs) appetizer and the truffle pappardelle. My boyfriend and I also enjoyed the warm chocolate cake for dessert as well!
Best food I've ever eaten and I've eaten all over the WORLD!
Food was unreal! My waiter was so nice too. Help me out a ton.
Theirs portions are filling, yet not too pricy. The food tasted great, and like nothing I’ve had before. It was crowded for a Sunday night, but our waiter and other house staff were very attentive.
We were a group of 5 and we had a reservation for 8pm. We weren't seated until close to 8:30pm. This wouldn't be a huge problem if their entry way was bigger and/or had seating to keep waiting guests out of the way. It was so awkward. We were standing in front of the hostess stand and kept having to maneuver around. There were a couple of other parties waiting, too. We went during restaurant week so it was pretty busy. Maybe it's not like this at other times? Once seated, our server was prompt, courteous and friendly. The food was okay - nothing to write home about. I had the calamari puttanesca, the lamb dish, and the tiramisu for dessert. I found that the first and second courses lacked seasoning. I don't usually add salt to my dishes but I did this time. The tiramisu was the best part of the meal. I probably would give them another chance but I'm in no rush. Everything was just okay.
Loved it! Will be back!
The food was pretty good, the service was great, the ambience was pretty good, we were seated right next to the front door and there is no where for people waiting for reservations to wait. So we were getting bumped and had the cool air on us when the door was open, but over all it was a good experience. I would definitely ask not to sit there again.
Even though it was restaurant week, we were not rushed through the meal. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. There is enough staff to bring out your food and take away dirty plates that all of the food was served piping hot and plates didn't linger. The manager checked on us to make sure everything was ok. We also appreciated the BYOB.
A restaurant week disaster. The restaurant was overbooked. The lamb was fatty, the polenta rubbery, and the pizza lackluster. The Panna cotta had a distinctly medicinal flavor. I was very disappointed to say the least.
The manager asked us to finish up an hour and 10 minutes into the dinner because they needed the table. I think it is common to at least give your guests 1.5 hours even if the restaurant is busy. That kind of put a negative note on an otherwise nice dinner.
We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always good me & wife and friends of hours. I could go on & on but likes always nice to have a nice meal there.
Superb! Delicious! Friendly! Will definitely return often.
Everything was fantastic...food & service. Please bring back the eggplant tartar appetizer 🙏🏼.
Great neighborhood BYOB. Food and service is consistently good. Warm friendly atmosphere.
Great service, good vibes. Thought their pasta dishes were light on protein. Very enjoyable time and would recommend for a date.
I made a reservation here for my birthday dinner with some close friends (7 people at 7pm on a Friday night). Unfortunately, two friends could not join very last minute and I was unable to let the restaurant know until we arrived for dinner. Both the waiter and the manager were extremely rude about the change in the number of our party (despite the fact that we wouldn’t have needed to change tables). They removed the extra seats and place settings after clearly making a scene about it (to the point where some of my friends wanted to leave). I’m not sure if the attitude was due to a potential change in automatic gratuity or not, but the service went down hill from there. At times we were given the wrong food, the rarely came to check on us, and when we were packing up our extra bottles (as the restaurant is a BYOB) and putting our coats on the waiter barged through us to ensure that four credit card receipts were left. I’m not sure if the poor service is consistent or if we were treated differently due to being a group of only women in our early 30s, but either way the quality of the service was unacceptable. Main take away: one can find an Italian restaurant with the same quality food elsewhere near Rittenhouse, very likely with much better service. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know and respect/like, ever.
We got a sampling of their take on pizza, veggies, chicken, and pasta. All delicious and can’t beat BYO!
My parents have been taking me here for years, now I get to take them here for special occasions. It's just wonderful here, some of the best pasta recipes I've ever had!
Great food and ambience were great We were able to dine late and the waiter was patient with us and very cordial
We had a reservation at 8PM, but had to wait 1h. No apologies or acknowledgement
We had a reservation at 7 o’clock and we were not seated until 8 o’clock. That is unacceptable. I would not return based on the wait.
Had an early 6:30 dinner reservation that they called me same day at 5pm prior to confirm. Confirmed. No mention of very long wait ahead! Waited minimum 30 minutes, likely closer to 45 by the time we were seated. We finally get seated. A party of 3 to our right had arrived before us, were seated after us, had a similar wait time. A party of two to our left, who arrived after us with same reservation time, were seated before us. The party of three was offered an appetizer with an apology for the long wait. The party of two was offered dessert on the house with an apology for the long wait. We got neither an apology, nor dessert or appetizer. The food was really good. Otherwise, I would have left with a really, really bad taste in my mouth!!!
