    Went for an early dinner before a show. Service was exceptional. Table service was unexpected and we were seated inside dining area which was quiet enough to talk. We could still see the football on the screen from where we were seated. I will definitely book again due to the friendly service we received

    We were welcomed by staff My wife received a Mother’s Day gift which was unexpected but very well received. So thank you MP The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Even a four day employee pouring beers did a magic job, just shows the training of employees is done on a professional level. Service and food was great. Definitely heading back when we are in town again.

    Lunch and drinks before heading to the football on ANZAC day. Food was awesome especially the salt and pepper calamari so tender. Sat in the outdoor terrace on a lovely sunny day watching the footy on the big TV. Staff really friendly and helpful. Definitely will visit again.

    Great place to catch up with people food is great and lots of choices of good food! Service was great and didn’t take to long with anything but made aware of delay in food at the busy time still fantastic

    Went and took advantage of the $10 drink specials, great gin and espresso martini’s! The $2 oysters are back and where awesome as well-we stopped at a dozen but could’ve easily had more!!

    Food was pretty good and decently priced. Busy times there is a little wait on food. Can get a little noisy, but the venue is designed for a place to grab a drink and feed. Staff are pretty friendly and prompt.

    Huge thank you to your MD who made a table for us so we could be on the main floor, then shifted us to the dining room for a beautiful meal afterwards. We had a great dance and loved our event!

    We love Melbourne Public & the feel of the place. We had a table up in the back section along the wall behind the bar & cash register….feel there could be a way to block out that noise to make it bearable to talk at your table. Other than that I will be back

    Service and atmosphere are really good. The food was excellent except for the sticky date pudding, which had just come from the microwave and was rock-hard in the middle. The staff apologised, and replaced it straight away with another which was still not fresh. This was the only disappointing part of the experience.

    Must try the Pink Vodka and Tonic cocktail, amazing, strong and refreshing. The solo artist that sang and played guitar on Sunday was excellent. He was joined by a second guy who also sang and played guitar. Would return again just to hear these guys sing their Sunday tunes. It's a lovely venue and atmosphere to relax on a Sunday afternoon.

    Great atmosphere & helpful staff. Food was fabulous and plenty of choice on the wine list. Also dropped my purse & staff found and safeguarded it till I was able to return. Extra points for just being good guys! Highly recommend.

    We sat in the dining area, felt like a cage! Stuck behind the bar, no ambience, no view of front area. Won’t do that again. The added surprise was that seated two tables to us was a young group of gents, taking shots and unfortunately not handling it very well 🤮. We will certainly book the front bar area next time.

    Although the menu appeared a bit limited I have no complaints as the choices were quite acceptable, the staff even varied food for the Gluten free member of our party. The staff generally were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help us feel comfortable.
