Great food, service and atmosphere! We came here for my friend's birthday. We ordered Traditional Japanese Breakfast comes with Grilled Salmon, Pickle dishes and Miso soup and Chicken Karage with Waffles from their breakfast/ brunch menu. Both dishes were delicious with good portion. They even prepared Matcha Basque Cheesecake with Matcha ice Cream with candle on it for my friend. We'll definitely come back.

Amazing food! Very nice staff, but they definitely feel understaffed. More a management issue combined with COVID times… in any case, if you are not in rush to eat, this is an amazing place to try!!

The food was excellent. There was nothing we ordered that I can say anything negative about. The service was really outstanding (Amina). The only thing I can complain about is the price. It was for a milestone birthday, that's why I was willing to spend my money on a first time visit to a restaurant. The food was so good that I would want to go back and experience it again but the prices are prohibitive. It caters to the wealthy and I have to wait until I become one, I guess.

Service staff was very friendly but took a bit long to get drinks and food came out slow, not all entrees at the same time. Will try it again.

I booked a table for 12:15pm to celebrate my friend's bday a month ago and confirmed it a week ago. We wanted to try the Tea and it says on the website that starts at noon. There was no option to book for brunch or tea on Opentable or confirmation email so I just made a reservation. When we got there, the lady showed me my reservation does not indicate it is for Tea on her system so no Tea could be served for us. Is it reasonable to ask guests for something that is not even exist? If a restaurant wants to differentiate its reservation, why it is not on the booking system, instead blaming the guests not to make one?

If you expect 4/5-star hotel quality foods & service, this place is not the right one.
It's more like good (but not super good to come back) local restaurant quality. Foods are okay but needs to wait tons of time whenever you need to see your server to ask something.
I've been to go oftentimes lots of restaurants in 4/5-star hotel but to be honest, this was the worst experience I've ever had.
They need more training their employees to serve at restaurant in 4/5-star hotel.
Can't believe I'm at LeMerdien hotel now.

The Food, Wine, Service and Ambience was perfect.
We enjoyed the delightful flavors of our selected dishes - a mixture of land food and seafood. And the wine selection, was fantastic to pair with our dishes. You don’t need a wide selection to impress.

We went there for my husband’s birthday . Food is excellent, service was great . I only wish we could park our own cars but I understand that this is a hotel and want to provide valet parking. Look forward to coming back. My husband had the steak and fries, my daughter had the bento box and I had the fish of the day. For appetizers, 1/2 dozen oysters-excellent , and shrimp cocktail. No complaints

The service was TERRIBLE. All of the people that worked there are just aimlessly walking around and they don’t know what they’re doing. We had to get a manager to take our drink order after sitting there for 30 minutes. The same thing happened with our check. It took so long to get it, and we had to wait another 30 minutes for them to come back for it. We went there for our anniversary, and this definitely ruined our morning.

It was nice but not $70 worth. I don’t believe I got value for my money. You only get one drink. It seems that at least 2 drinks plus a discount for additional drinks. Plus the macaroons were tough and not edible. We appreciate the attention to detail and to our friend’s allergies to wheat and bell peppers. They did good about that. Overall… a fun one-time event.

Wonderful tea time! The service was attentive, the tea was great, we had the earl grey , jasmine and oolong. Two of us had the regular Chinese tea set, one had the hi-ball tea set that came with 2 cute little pancakes topped with caviar, which were delicious, and a very good tea-infused highball cocktail.
Gave the food 4 stars instead of 5 because of the scones, Devonshire cream, and mochi ball skewer. The vanilla and matcha scones looked lovely, but were crumbly, they fell apart when trying to spread the cream and lemon curd on it. Secondly, although the menu said there’d be Devonshire cream, it was actually more like or butter, thicker consistency and not sweet. Lastly, the 3 mochi balls on a pretty skewer were not what was expected. They weren’t actually mochi, they were dango, more densely packed rice balls that had the consistency of hard playdoh. We saw that other tables left only these dango balls on their tea tray as well. But other than these, the rest of the food was wonderful, esp the taro mochi , smoked salmon sandwich , lobster & egg salad sandwich , and shitaki mushroom with truffle aioli sandwich.

My best friend and I had our first girl night out since the pandemic and Armina (best waitress I’ve had) made our night extra special with her attention to detail, menu knowledge, and table visits at the perfect time. We will definitely be coming back. We enjoyed the seafood risotto and the cocktail drinks were delicious!

Let me start by saying that our waiter was very accommodating and friendly. He made small talk and was very nice. Unfortunately, I think he was the only one taking orders and was training new servers. This ended up making service lengthy.

The design of the restaurant was very contemporary and elegant. It's just sad that some patrons don't know how to carry themselves in a nice place while having a meal. Obviously, this is no reflection on the establishment.

Hopefully next time there will be more wait staff available for speedier service. We'd love to try other items on the menu. Thank you.

Food: baked oysters were superb, grilled prawns were delicious, NY cobe was delicious but came in a little cold which the server graciously took it back. Wasabi purred potatoes were ok not spicy.
Bread was fresh and warm unfortunately came after the appetizer.
Recommend this place.

The newest hot spot in Arcadia has landed! This is my favorite special occasion restaurant now. Not only is the space beautiful, the menu is creative and delicious. Chef Mako does wonder. This was our second time at Melange, prompted by their Dine LA menu. The menu had 8 items plus wine. Not your choice from those 8 items but everything on the menu. It was a satisfying tasting menu. Perfect for multiple guests (minimum 2), as food is served family style. The short rib skewers melt in your mouth. The Black truffle sauce from the stuffed chicken is finger-licking good, We hit the jackpot as the fish of the day was sea bass. The entire menu took my palate on an whirlwind journey of flavors that I wish would never stop. Alas, there’s always next time.

The worst dining experience i've ever had. My wife and I regularly participate in in Dine LA to experience new restaurants in our neighborhood. Service was our biggest complaint. First the sat us in at table outside the main dining area right next to the waiter station, we asked to moved but were told no other tables were available, which was fine. It then took over 15 minutes to be seen by our waiter, still okay. The Dine LA menu looked good so we decided to order it. The first course and drinks came out and were good. Then the problems started, the second course came out over 10 minutes later and was cold, but tasted good. The waiter didn't give us to chat with him, only oneway conversations from him without allowing feedback. The next course was the real problem, we waited over 20 minutes, no contact from waiter as to what was going on. Other people, who were seated while we were waiting for our third course and were on the table right next to us, was already getting there food. Our water glasses were empty. This service was unacceptable. After almost an hour of waiting, we asked to hosted to speak to the manager. He came by and said they were having problems with our ticket. We stated the problem was that our waiter was serving tables around us and never once let us know there was an issue with our order. The manager he would personally take care of our meal and offered me a free drink, he also gave me his card so he could make it right. Which was a lame gesture because he didn't get our info, like he would remember us. The problems still continued, after speaking to the manager, another 15 minutes went by, still no contact from our waiter and still no food, still no water service, we were feeling completely ignored. Not sure if were are playing more into this and I don't like to play the race card, but we are brown and did happen to notice another brown couple with no food on their table as well. We decided to leave.

New, high end and welcome addition to the San Gabriel Valley. Located in new Le Meredien hotel right across from the Santa Anita Race track. Asian fusion cuisine from a chef with impressive credentials. Food dishes well conceived and good but not great -
Everything just misses being a memorable dish. Service friendly and helpful but coursing is off.
Heavier entree dishes brought out before the appetizer courses
Cocktails very good but wine list overpriced and a $45 corkage fee! Worth a try especially for special dinner without going into DTLA or the west side but not a destination dinner and overall not sure it’s a match for this community
