Excellent food. Great service. Wonderful wait staff.
Excellent as usual. My favorite restaurant!
A nice night out with friends enjoyed great food.
This is one of my favorite restaurants for good Mediterranean food. We like to order our own Mezze based on the many cold and warm appetizers on the menu. The babaganoush is fantastic, lamb shoulder succulent, and they bring copious supplies of beautiful warm fresh pita bread. The tabouleh with quinoa is my favorite! If you are gluten sensitive or prefer vegan or vegetarian foods, this is a great place for you. There are many dishes to satisfy carnivores as well. We paired everything with a light Lebanese rose wine. Ample outdoor seating is great during certain times of the year. Reservations are a good idea. Parking in an underground garage is validated and free.
The food is always excellent, and while the staff is wonderful, this Particular visit with our friends was above and beyond! We have enjoyed every dish we’ve tried, and often times will just order one dinner to share along with a few of our favorite appetizers.
Our server that night was fantastic. Very professional with wonderful recommendations, attentive but not overbearing. The outside patio is beautiful and of course the food was wonderful.
We had great service as well as food ( and wine ). The menu is a bit overwhelming for a first time visit which means gladly more visits in the future. The special was sea bass over mashed potatoes and spinich. Not what you would expect at a Lebanese restaurant, but hey, ours was done to perfection ( and would order it again )
Overall, a good experience. We had the salmon for a main course, baba ghanoush, and spinach pies for appetizers. I thought all three dishes were good and tasty. We were also given pita with zaatar and cheese to start the meal, which was nice. Service was a bit spotty. Waiter did not come around too often. Overall, I thought it was a good restaurant.
Great location in Arlington and very good service. The food was uniformly good but not great. While not advertised that way the menu was oriented towards more of a small plate approach and that wasn't what I was looking for.
I took my two sisters They fell in love with this Restaurant. I love MeJana
The best choice for a late summer evening dinner! Highly recommend
We learned about MeJana from a friend who lives near the restaurant and we have been going back ever since. Our most recent visit was similar to all of our other visits in that the service was outstanding, the food was delicious and reasonably priced and our table was ready when promised. What is not to like? We will be back soon.
The menu at MeJana has something for everyone and the service is always great. One of my favorites!
Our fattouch dressing wasn't quite as fresh this time.
Always delicious. We decided to have a meal of appetizers and so sampled a lot of the menu. Standouts were the haloumi cheese with watermelon, stuffed zucchini, and falafel. Oh the falafel! So crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The only dish we wouldn’t get again is zucchini patties. A bit too mushy for our tastes. Service was efficient without being hurried. Me Jana never disappoints.
Service was excellent, food was just perfect. Welcoming was quite poor, too bad...
Wonderful time. Sat outside.
We frequently dine at Me Jana and always have a consistent experience. The food is deliciously prepared and the service is attentive and friendly. The owner makes us feel like family. Is there any reason we do not coming back?
I love MeJana. Always delicious. Great flavors. The watermelon halloumi date is delicious, kebabs are great, definitely get the three dip sampler, even the rice is yummy.
Our server Karen was exceptionally helpful- very knowledgeable of the menu and able to answer many questions; she was also personable, polite and gracious- all eight of us were delighted with her care and of course our meals were delicious.
There are better Mediterranean restaurants around, but this place is fine. The Lebanese wine was good, as was my friend’s mango mojito. The portions of the dip sampler were way too small for the price.
Had a delicious dinner and wish we lived nearby to make it our regular treat!
Very disappointing experience overall over expensive for the quality of food and service. Quality is not what it used to be. I am Lebanese and this does not taste like food from back home! Portions were too small and the main dish mixed grill was over cooked! And the prices? Ridiculous?!!! They must be taking the clientele for fools no wonder no locals were dining there
I was not happy with the experience and will not be going back.
Me Jana is an excellent Lebanese restaurant with spreads, breads and salad so fresh and flavorful that when I want baba ghanouj (with a bit of pomegranate), hummus, watermelon/feta salad, or, best of all, lamb chops, I go nowhere else. The restaurant is pretty and quiet in a friendly way. Service is respectful, slightly formal for a change, and responsive. Don’t forget the mint tea, baklava and puffy, warm bread! Just go there!
Had dinner with friends at Me Jana recently after a movie at Court House. Wonderful atmosphere, with seating inside and out. We chose to dine inside and were given a banquette at the front window. It was spacious and had several pouffy pillows to make it extra comfortable. Service was prompt and friendly, and the menu had myriad selections, small and large, of delicious Greek-style dishes. The pita bread came warm and soft with hummus and olives. The salad dressing had a lovely touch of mint. There are some great lamb selections but we all chose seafood -- shrimp kabobs and the salmon steak special, which also came with shrimp. It was succulent and bursting with garlic flavor. Our server recommended a good wine to accompany the meal. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
Appetizers were fantastic, the main courses were just alright, the service was really great!
Our dinner was excellent. The food was great as well as the service.
Our meal was wonderful and the service was attentive. The room can be noisy when other tables are celebrating, though our table was doing the same thing. Great experience.
Everything was tasty. Recommend the muhamarra and baba ganoush apps. The bronzino was very good, and the shrimp kabob was one of the best I’ve ever had.
A great meal as always.
Everything was good except for the beef shawarma. It was a bit dry and chewy.
When the other person in my party arrived it turned out they also had made a reservation. When I tried communicating this to the woman at the front of house, a man, who turned out to be our waiter, cut me off mid-sentence and briskly said, “This way” and without waiting began walking to the dining area. The other person with me had a sprained ankle and the waiter was walking several yards ahead and seemed annoyed waiting for us to get back to where he was seating us - in the very back corner of the restaurant, which I noticed looked to only be about 1/4 full. The remainder of the meal the waiter was very rude and made long sighs and no eye contact when he didn’t approve of our order. He actually exclaimed, “What?!” when we said we were going to order an appetizer and split a $30 kebab dish. He didn’t ask if we wanted desert, he put the dessert menu in front of us at a very inappropriate time in our conversation, and it was the body language and drama that he did it with that communicated aggression and that we weren’t respected. I was in shock. I’ve never had this happen before. There was pressure to order the most expensive entrees earlier and when I told him dessert wasn’t going to work since there were no dairy and gluten free options on the menu, he didn’t say a word. He grabbed the menus and walked away. We paid around $54 for 2 people, including tip, and the food was okay, but nowhere near justifying the price, even with it being a more upscale area of Arlington. The rude service and pressure was so over the top I will never go to MeJana again.
The Lebanese Journey was quite the journey. Great food, solid value. I feel like the service always seemed confused by how to arrange dishes for our large (8 person) group. Didn't seem like they had ever done this, which was frustrating for shared plates. Overall, food and wine were great though
Me Jana is one of our favorite restaurants in Arlington, and the best Lebanese restaurant in the area, IMHO. Their food is so good. The one complaint I would have from this visit is that we felt rushed by the server, to take our plates before we were done, and to take the bill. There wasn't anyone waiting for our table. Also the AC was on pretty high, so bring an extra layer.
Wonderful food, service and ambiance, a favorite of ours since it opened
We had the tasting menu, food was very good, quality for price. Service was also good.
I will recommend it.
Delicious and the server was lovely. I’m going back for sure.
The food is as authentic as it gets, almost as good as being back in Lebanon! Everything we had was amazing, but the chicken shawarma sliders had to be my favorite, it is a must!! Thank you for everything :)
Warmly greeted at the door, we were seated at a comfortable table in a tastefully decorated dining room. Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, the menu was rewardingly Lebanese, and the dishes we ordered were authentically and expertly prepared. Dessert pastries were freshly baked in-house. When the bill came, it contained no surprises and all seemed reasonably priced. The owner stopped by to chat and to make sure all was to our liking, and wished us well as we left. We’ll definitely return.
