MeJana Ratings and Reviews
Masterful management of a busy Valentine's Day evening. They were booked solid, but food delivery speed and quality didn't appear to suffer an iota. Delicious as usual!!! Offered a special menu for the holiday as well as their full menu. Khalil and Rabih bring the concept of Me Jana to life (welcoming friends and family to share happy times and reminisce about the good old days). Thank you for another lovely evening.
MeJana is about 2 blocks from our home. My wife and I dine there frequently. The food is very good. My wife thinks the wine selection is good. We have been going there since it opened and never had a bad meal or bad service there. We have taken many friends there and they have all enjoyed it. The owners and staff are friendly and its a great find in our neighborhood. You can't miss with MeJana.
Do not recommend. This was the second weekend in a row that we went to the restaurant. Food is quite good, but the service is below average. We ordered a bottle of wine, a salad, 4 apps, an entre, and two desserts to share. The meal came out so quickly. The salad and all 4 apps were brought together. 5-10 min later the entree was brought out even though we were clearly not ready for more food. Felt rushed, so I will not return. Food is decent and authentic, so if you really want Lebanese in Arlington, just get takeout.
Me Jana is one of the best restaurants in Arlington: great food, great service, and great hospitality. If you like traditional Lebanese cuisine, with the occasional American flare, Me Jana is an excellent choice among so many culinary options in North Arlington. You can dine alone at the bar, or in a booth with friend, or take a large group in for a party - the owners and staff are very accommodating, which can be rare today. What I have always enjoyed about Me Jana, is the selection of dishes (and prices), from small plates (Lebanese tapas) to hearty fare (excellent lamb). I recommend highly the Branzino. Many restaurants serve this European Sea Bass, but I haven't tasted it as well-prepared as in Me Jana.
It had been some years since we'd been to Me Jana and decided to go there for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The ambiance is very nice and the food very good. We thought the service was a little slow, especially since when we arrived at 1:35 there were only a few people there. Our server was very pleasant and basically it was a good experience.
This was our 3rd time dining at Me Jana and it was better than ever. We usually eat at Lebanese Taverna, but we now prefer Me Jana, as the food and flavours are more authentic and traditionally prepared. Our server Nikolaos was superb. We ordered tabouleh, dip sampler, kibeh nayeh (the best I've ever had), cheese rolls, sujok, beef schwarma, thyme fries, and fried calamari. We would order everything again except the fried calamari which felt a little overcooked, and would also not order the thyme fries again - it lacked seasoning. Overall we love this restaurant and will continue to come back here when we are in the mood for authentic Lebanese cuisine.
There are a lot of restaurants in the Clarendon-Court House area, this is my favorite. The food is always great with good service. It is my go-to place for lunch to do meze (although it is really tough to choose from all the choices all of which are really good). And it is my dinner place to take friends for great food and wine and be able to talk without shouting. I've lost track of how many years its been here but I was there soon after it opened and am still going back.
We’re Lebanese and it’s hard to find good Lebanese food. That was our first time there and we loved the food! The best Lebanese food we’ve eaten! So authentic and delicious . The owners were so welcoming and warm, and the service was great. This is definitely our new favorite restaurant and we recommend it to all our friends who are looking for good and authentic Lebanese food.
The restaurant is very comfortable and pleasing. The hostess greeted us with a smile and throughout our dining experience the service was good and friendly. All of us at the table selected a couple of appetizers each. We all were well satisfied with our selections— we each had a full meal and at a reasonable cost.
Me Jana is a wonderful restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are very pleasant and attentive. We came here for a year-end celebration and all of us raved about the tasty food and and pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back!
Whether with family, friends, or business associates, for lunch or for dinner, Me Jana never disappoints. Robbie and his team do an amazing job. The staff is courteous, helpful, and never rushes the pace. The food is great, from the appetizers to the main courses and desserts/coffee. The wine line is great and matches well with the food. The inside decor is very nice and outside is even better when the weather allows.
We have eaten at several Lebanese restaurants in the Washington area and have found them to be very good, but Me Jana was exceptionally fine. The cuisine selection was outstanding and the service left little to be desired. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance and the noise level was low. Me Jana is the perfect place for an intimate dinner, especially if you dine on the early side as we did. While the entrees were excellent, we were particularly fond of the appetizers, namely the Ablama (zucchini stuffed with beef, spices, pinenuts, and onion with rice and a delicious sauce). The grape leaves were also some of the best we have ever tasted. I would really recommend staying for dessert, particularly the Halawet el Jeba (rolled sweet cheese, stuffed with Achta--milk pudding--pistachio and rose water). We want to return the next time we are staying in the area.
Visiting DC on a freezing cold weekend - our family stayed at the Hyatt Place across the street, and the staff recommended this restaurant. We enjoyed the every dish - pita bread was a die-for item, the kebabs (lamb) was better and juicier than beef. While dining there, I saw two big middle eastern families with ~ 8 kids came in. It must be a very authentic Lebanese restaurant. I highly recommended it - together with the family friendly hotel.
This was pretty good. I made a reservation for brunch based on the outstanding Yelp reviews. For appetizers we ordered the mhammara and thyme fries. The dip was very good. I wish the accompanying pitas were either grilled or at least warm, but they were good nontheless. The thyme fries were nothing special. We ordered a mixed grill and 2 piece lamb chops. The chops were tender and delicious. All three items in the mixed grill were a bit overcooked/ tough. So I guess in summary half our experience was very good. Service and atmosphere were excellent.
I was surprised by the mess up and lack of good service. It was our Anniversary. My husband and I had our lamb cooked the reverse of what we had asked. His was cooked to my liking and mine was cooked to his liking. We complained to the waitress, who brought over a young woman who offered to fix it but we didn't want to wait and just switched dishes, and it was ok. I never got any water in my glass, and the we didn't have the correct knives to cut the lamb with. Then I ordered a Sambuca, and the waiter recommended Sambuca Black. It was not to my liking. Way too strong. I told the waitress but she did not take it off my bill. It wasn't worth another moment of my time at that point. We paid our bill and will not be going back.
