Mehak India's Aroma
After eating a Mehak India's twice now, it has become my favorite Indian restaurant in the region. Each dish is cooked to order with the requested level of "spice" or heat and literally every dish we have ordered (about 8 different ones as of now) have been delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The ambience is nice (below street level in Cherry Creek) and it is quiet enough to carry on conversations without having to raise voices. I look forward to my next trip to his excellent restaurant.
Great vibe, perfect ambiance, and EXCELLENT food. This is one of the most authentic Indian restaurants I have found in Denver!
We love Mehak, and have been going there ever since it opened. Delicious food, and we really like that you can specify the level of spiciness for each dish.
I thought the whole atmosphere was authentic. Lots of good vegetarian selections. We had chai to drink which was very good. I would recommend a spicy level of two.
Great experience. Great staff and good food and service. Could be a little more attentive with clearing empty cocktail glasses and dishes. They also could have served up one or two more rounds of cocktails if they had just asked... but since they didn't ask, we just asked for the check instead. We'll be back. Just keep the drinks coming. You'll make more money and we'll be happier customers!
Great food! We’ll definitely be back! Loved, loved, loved it!
We are longtime lovers of Indian cuisine. Mehak's is the best Indian food we have found in the US. Interesting twists on many items, but close enough to what you expect to not disappoint. Everything was good, but I am a big vegetable korma fan and it was sensational. Portions are large--good thing Indian food goes home and heats up well. "Medium" here equals "medium to spicy" in my taste, but that was fine with me. If in doubt, discuss the spice level with the staff. The restaurant is beautiful, absolutely beautiful, but not as you would expect, more like a modern bistro. Service is good but I took off a service star for a seriously messy table (we were careless with our rice) that went uncleaned before dessert. That says a lot if that is the only thing I can find to complain about. Tip: If someone in your party is not a big Indian cousine fan, have them get the lambchops. Five large, deliciously spiced (but not too much) chops. Great place! Quiet and permits conversation--getting hard to find.
Third time there for us. Always excellent.
Absolutely the best Indian cuisine in Denver! Fabulous wine, amazing food that has plenty of vegetarian options. I cannot wait to come back to sit at the bar after work one day, it is simply lovely! And the restaurant is IMMACULATELY clean. This restaurant is tucked away from busy downtown, making it a relaxing experience from the time we left our house to the time we came home.
Great food! Love this place.
Went with out Indian friend who is "picky" (in a good way) about Indoan food.... we loved the flavors! Lamb korma was very tasty but the meat was dry and undercooked. If it was braised until tender it could have been my favorite dish. The chef's seafood was good, medium spicy was nicely spicy. The saag was perfect. Yummy appetizers, very attentive servers.
Everything was very good. Brought a friend from out or town. I will definitely return
Business dinner and service was wonderful and the food was flavorful and elegantly presented.
We enjoyed our dinner at Mehak's very much. The food was excellent, the service is very good and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. I was very impressed with the variety of vegetarian dishes offered. We have dined at several Indian restaurants in the Denver Metro area and Mehak's is our favorite.
Food was excellent!
Amazing food, really bad service. I don’t think we were assigned to anyone so we didn’t really have anyone after the host took our drink orders. After this we had to get water refills by walking up to the bar, and had to physically walk up to a waiter and bring him up to our table to place our orders. We had to repeat this to get a check, and once again to pay. The worst service I’ve had in a long time, but the food was 5 stars. I definitely wouldn’t go on another date here, but would come solo.
Food was good and the service and atmosphere were great. Only negative thing why didn't give 5 stars was wings that were cold in the middle when they first arrived. However, the service was wonderful and they were taken away and brought back new ones that were great. It was a busy evening, so they probably just got busy and forgot to check the temperature of the chicken before it left the kitchen. Hopefully was a good reminder that even the little things can't be overlooked on busy nights. Love the authentic food of India!
My husband and I had a quiet corner table on Christmas Eve (with a reservation). We both chose vegetarian options and the food was spiced exactly as we requested. We both really like Indian food and Mehak’s ranks high in quality. The wine/liquor list is good. This restaurant is an excellent addition to the Cherry Creek dining options and we plan to return.
really enjoyed this restaurant, food, ambiance and service!
After leaving a very positive review on July 14 and visiting this restaurant frequently since, our family was incredibly disappointed during this visit. Our server was not familiar with the food/drink menu. He actually disappeared and never returned after taking our order. When our food was delivered by a different server, we were not given an opportunity to discuss the fact that the lamb chops were cooked well done, rather than the requested medium rare. Two members of our party finished their entrees (with empty wine and water glasses), while the lamb entree sat uneaten. One finally left the table to speak with the manager since no one had checked on us. A new lamb entree was prepared, but still not 'medium rare'. Despite the problems encountered, no adjustment to the check was made. We, unfortunately, will not be returning to Mehak. The service is poor, the prices have increased, and the food quality has declined since the change in management.
Loved this restaurant. It was my first time there, and I will definitely go back. Food was excellent as well as service and ambiance!
Pretty mediocre with Cherry Creek prices. No better than cheaper Indian food options. The servers were inexperienced. One appetizer was delivered after the main dishes arrived. Paying by tablet at the table was intrusive with the oblivious server interrupting our conversation to take payment. I’d much rather have the check left at the table and pay at my leisure. Our server saw a knife fall from a different table and picked it up and put it back on the table.
Amazing food! Really couldn't ask for better! Also, the service is top-notch - great attention to detail and very friendly staff.
Great food. Every dish has a unique flavor. Fun to try different things. My guests that visit Denver Love it.
Loved food and ambiance. Felt rushed to order, eat and pay.
New owner, friendly, staff trying, food good, not great, more expensive (red napkins were odd.)
This had been our favorite. The owners were excellent! The food excellent, service excellent.
Great ambience, quiet, delicious food, good service, great parking!
Excellent place to get top Indian food. One of the best nans i've ever had.
Poorly trained wait staff.
The food was as delicious as always, but (apparently) due to a recent turnover in ownership/management the wait staff was in chaos. Our friendly but totally inexperienced waiter barely knew what a martini was and did not know what, if any, house wines they offer. But the wait staff finally came through with our orders and those of others around the room, so the evening was saved.
Service was slow.
Outstanding food and service.
Me and husband love this place.
Very nice and quiet ambiance; the food was very good as well as the service. I'd recommend Mehaks.
The service and the food were so amazing, we went twice during our short stay in Denver.
The food is always delicious at Mehak, it may be a little expensive because it's Cherry Creek, but it's worth it. Service is always wonderful too.
Best place ever!!
This place is amazing. Family owned and operated, best Indian food in Denver and beyond. We will go here once a week for sureAa
Food and staff are amazing. I have had a lot of Indian food in the US, and none compares.
