Excellent food and service as usual
As always service was excellent. The owner is always on top of things and friendly. You won't be disappointed.
Steak was amazing
Despite my 10pm reservation, I had to wait standing by the doorway for about half an hour. By the time I was at the table, my feet was done standing in my heels.
Although they were backed up for the holiday, they were still very accommodating and it helped with the time to fly by before we were actually seated. Their food and service was impeccable. Def love dinning here. Staff is very kind and friendly.
Great food. Good service. I Would go back again, overall 4.5/5
I was recommended by a friend to come here so we came here for Valentine’s Day but unfortunately we weren’t happy with the food. The grilled octopus tasted like charcoal and the mushroom Mac and cheese was dry and had very little cheese. We sent it back. We ordered the fillet mignon and the rib eye. They looked delicious but was overly charred and that too tasted like charcoal. The only decent thing we had was the wine and the creamed spinach. The wait staff was friendly and professional and offered to bring us something else to eat but we declined.
Delicious porterhouse with hash browns and onion rings. Great service. We go there for all special occasions.
Great food, service was very attentive... we will definitely be back soon... good for any occasion.
The food was delicious! The service was a little slow but not too bad. I will definitely be eating here again.
Great!!! food. Great!!! Service.
Went to Meet the Meat in order to experience a new restaurant in our neighborhood, and because we knew they were participating in Restaurant Week, we figured it would be a good opportunity to try a variety of dishes. We were not offered the Restaurant Week menu when we arrived, and when we asked for it, the initial server said he would bring it to us. He did not. Another server came and took our drink orders, and when he returned for our food orders, we asked again for the Restaurant Week menu. He then said they did not participate during the weekend (this was a Saturday). Since we already had drinks, we continued with our meal. The crab cake app was terrible. We could not finish it. The mac & cheese was average. We ordered our steaks medium rare, and each of us got raw steak. Even my son, who always finishes his food, could not finish his meal. The bill came to over $400, for four diners. We will not be returning to Meet the Meat.
We were warmly welcomed and even moved to a better table without asking. The steak was delicious. Appetizers very nicely prepared and presented. Attentive service without being bothersome. It wasn’t a special occasion, but felt like one. Excellent date night destination. I only wish they would change the name. It does not reflect the level of attention to detail and quality offered. Very lovely experience.
Went there for restaurant week and was not disappointed! Lamb chops, mashed potatoes, Mushroom mac & cheese were incredible. Waiters were very attentive and helpful especially considering how full the restaurant was that day. Beautiful restaurant. Definitely going there again.
A warm receptive greeting and immediately seated. Great conversation with waiters. A delicious dinner.
Checked out this place for nyc restaurant week and it was exceptional!
Always a great time. Restaurant week especially good to try if you have never been. They always make you feel like family.
Food doesn't disappoint. Service was great. No problems with my dietary restrictions. Very accommodating. Restaurant was a bit too bright for my taste but it could have been just the day. Would recommend for every day dining.
Food was ok, service slow but fine. There were quite a lot of children and the noise levels were relatively high. Food was high but sadly fairly forgettable. I'm not in a hurry to return.
We were pleasantly surprised how wonderful Meet the Meat fit all the criteria necessary for a great dinner. Ambiance, service, food and, best of all, quiet enough to have conversation without screaming across the table. All around great restaurant.
DELICIOUS AND LIVELY AT 9PM ON A SATURDAY!
FAMILY SERVICE! LOVE IT
Awesome porterhouse and bone in ribeye. Can’t wait to come back
You need to try this place. Their consistency to serve good food is what makes them stand out
My favorite restaurant and the best in Astoria!
This restaurant has excellent food and very professional service. Prices are also reasonable.
Our favorite steakhouse never disappoints. Adnan and his staff provide excellent service, and the steak and accompaniments are delicious.
A bit of a strange vibe. Definitely not your traditional steakhouse feel to the place. That being said, all of the food that we ordered was well prepared and tasted excellent!
As always, service, drinks and food were excellent. The owner and his son make you feel like you’re at home. My favorite place to eat!
We really liked it. All the food was fresh and well made. The steak was delicious. I got a bone-in top sirloin. Really big, I only ate half (took the rest home, of course!). Sides were generous and enough for two. I liked the cocktail selection (more than one or two I actually wanted to try) and lots of wine/liquor choices. Expensive, but we really enjoyed it. Cheaper if you choose a chicken or fish option. We didn't hold back though and went all out on drinks and appetizers. We cabbed it there and back so nobody would have to drive. I'd definitely recommend it!
Flavor of food was bland , steak didn't have much flavor , the crab cakes were okay, the mash potatoes were dry
Great service, reasonably priced wines, great steaks... We had the Tomahawk Steak and Porterhouse for two, cooked perfectly... The host did tell one of my friend to take off his cap before we can get seated, understandable.. I did feel a bit underdressed.. Overall, great experience
The food was great but the service was bad. After we were seated, took forever for the waiter to come. We had a small table by the corner tight spot no room for our food.
The food is out of this world!! Best steak and dining experience I’ve had in Queens. It really is a hidden gem!!
My children flew in from Chicago during a nor'easter, and wanted to dine near the airport, on their way into the city. I did a little investigating and chose Meet the Meat. FANTASTIC! The kids were late (Uber trouble) but there was no pressure, only understanding! The steaks were juicy, flavorful and tender. Branzino wiped from the plate, pronounced yummy by the kids, and they are traveling foodies! Service unobtrusive as we all caught up, but attentive and I will return!
It was very awkward, quiet and the staff could have been friendlier.
Adnan (the owner) and his attentive staff provide just the right balance between affording you privacy to dine at your own pace, and at the same time staying close enough by to ensure that every request is immediately addressed. In addition to the perfect steaks and other staples on their main menu, this time MtM offered some new and creative specials to mix things up. Thank you again, Adnan.
My favorite place!!!
Delicious steak and wonderful service.
A great family owned steak restaurant like the ones we used to have before they all went corporate. They treat you like family and will be sure to prepare your meal the way you want. I’ll make this a regular stop for me - both business and family dining.
