MEET in Paris
What Insiders Are Saying
Meet In Paris might be a terrible name for a French bistro that's in Culver City, but the food makes up for it.
Great servers! It was Father's Day and very busy but they were great and pleasant! Food was terrific and a great bargain!
The place was nice, however, the food was so-so, but the service was great!
Went there for all you can eat Mussels ... delicious!! Love the variety of flavors and mussels tasty and fresh. Hostess and waiter very accommodating ... would definitely go back.
I ordered a crab and mango salad, which came as a stack. A bit of a surprise. Very pretty presentation, but the crab was inedible, clearly not fresh and had an awful fishy flavor. Would not go there again.
The food is pretty good and the restaurant is known for the mussels with different type of sauces. I feel the service is a bit below par as the server that day was not very helpful or accommodating.
The food was fantastic, but the service was EXTREMELY slow. The staff was friendly, and I know they were busy, but it took too long to be acknowledged as well as to be served (in terms of server getting beverage order and food order- the food itself came out very quickly).
The food was underwhelming, not terrible just not good. Their bread was bland and tasteless which impacted most other dishes since it’s part of the French onion soup and baguette slices for charcuterie and duck liver mousse. The lobster bisque mussels were better than the Meet in Paris mussels which probably owes to the richer cream sauce so they weren’t as overlooked.
Service was slow and unfortunately inattentive although this wasn’t the case with all servers as some at nearby tables seemed to be more engaging with their diners.
Overall, not memorable or worth the price of a second visit.
Everything was amazing, from the wine selection through the entrees (trout almandine;salmon with ratatouille). Service couldn’t have been better. Really a treat. We can hardly wait to go back!
Pre theater dinner is always great.Everything on the menu is good.
Very convenient to the Kirk Douglas Theater, and the food is fine, if somewhat overpriced.
My steak frittes was good, as were my wife's scallops. Another friend said her mussels weren't great. She didn't think the sauce had enough flavor. Another had trout and said it too was fine.
We had a good time, but the place is very noisy should you choose to eat inside, and our waiter had a definite negative attitude that was noticed and remarked upon by all.
Great quiche and salad for lunch. Dinner is always good , too. Reservations are a must for this popular restaurant
It was a great place to expose my kids to French food for the first time
This is my go-to restaurant in Culver City. When the weather is nice, which is almost always, I love the patio and it’s much quieter there than inside. They bring the most wonderful baguette and butter when you first sit down so easy to fill up on that alone. My favorite menu items are the trout with lemon caper sauce, potatoes and string beans (really yummy and generous portion), the onion soup, and the profiteroles. Crepes are also wonderful as is the special breakfast menu. I feel as if I’m in Paris when I’m there, and the owner is legitimately from Paris so it’s authentic in that way.
The mussels here are so good & I love that they have a variety of styles to choose from. We went on a Monday and received 30% off our mussels as well as utilized the $6 draft beer deal. Everything was delicious and our server was incredibly accommodating & attentive. Highly recommend this Culver City gem.
I can’t wait to come back, but this place was pretty loud inside, maybe try outside next time.
The food was fine but definitely not exceptional. It was nearly impossibly to have a conversation with the person sitting across from me because it was beyond loud inside and it wasn't even full of guests.
The restaurant was its usual outstanding self. However, the parking situation has become unacceptable. The valet service was not operating, and finding on street parking is next to impossible. Unless something is done to restore the valet service consistently, this will be our last visit.
Excellent service. Muscles are the highlight. Recommend highly.
Great food, love the all you can eat muscles on Wednesday nights.
I’ve eaten here many times and enjoyed. Always boisterous, frequently noisy. But this last time noise level so high as to make conversation impossible. Their famous mussels not good—broth problematic. Very nice bread, wine and service staff. Hopefully my dinner an anomaly
Only if the person likes mussels... my salmon was overdone... the desserts were not as described..., the wait staff were great...
Thank you again to Nicole for the great service and food. I really enjoyed the dinner menu on Apr 27th and the lunch salad on Mother's day.
Hostess is all business. Service was quick and efficient. Mussels were fresh and creatively prepared. Great value on Wednesday specials Thank you for a great birthday! Server was super kind.
Great way to celebrate our daughters Birthday, our server was FABULOUS...Love the food, has become a little pricey...but it is special...
Wonderful meal of steak tartare followed by trout filet - very nicely presented with tasteful vegetables.
Had their house French Chardonnay wine - good and reasonable as usual.
Server- Cullen was knowledgeable and attentive throughout the meal, also other staff are recommended.
Will return again as we have so many times in the past.
Parking under city hall is easy and reasonable - just across the street.
Everything was wonderful. High recommendation. The mussels are very special. A dozen choices for sauces. The short ribs were tender and succulent. All in all it’s a great meal for not a crazy high price. Such a nice wait staff.
Lovely setting and great service. Sadly we found the mussels to be somewhat dry and disappointing. The onion soup is terrific and so is the trout
We had out of town guests and it was their first time. Loved it! Excellent food and service. As always.
Nicole was outstanding. I came for the muscles and I was kind of disappointed. Seemed bland and the salad was soggy. Wine was good and dessert was delicious. My wife’s special of the night was good though. Overall dont set your expectations too high. Go meet Nicole though she saved the evening!
We have always loved this spot but have not had great experiences on our last two visits. In both cases the kitchen was backed up and food was not available for 30-45 minutes. Our waitress apologized profusely the first time ... which brought us back this weekend. Unfortunately I don’t think our waitress remembered we were there, and worse the 2 of the 3 meals were not as ordered. I love that this remains a Culver City staple, but with so many other options we will skip in the future.
Food was delicious and served hot. Tables are a bit close together and cramped. Wonderful menu.
A terrific local place for any occasion. Always love eating here.
Poor service, even though we were the only people in the restaurant for the first 15-20 minutes of our meal. Food was close to inedible. French onion soup was lukewarm bordering on cold. One of the worst meals I've had in a long time.
Great food. Enjoyed the sidewalk patio.
Meet me in Paris is the place I take my family and friends for and excellent night out
We have alreadyrecommended meet in Paris to several people we would definitely go back
Great Parisian ambience and very good authentic French cousine
Had brunch with my wife. Our waitress Nicole was amazing as always. Can’t wait to come back for dinner next time!
We came in for a birthday celebration dinner. We had a very nice evening; food and service were very good.
We went for the all you can eat PEI mussels which did not disappoint! They were really good and come with so many different sauces to try. Most of them are cream sauces and filling. Wish they had a few more brothy type sauces. Service was excellent, so friendly and attentive.
Small, cute intimate place.
