11:30am lunch date, promptly seated outside (our preference) with heaters if needed. Friendly efficient server, menu varied, French flair, food served on time, hot and visually appealing and tasting delicious. Be sure to try the French onion soup! By 1:30 all tables were occupied with happy customers. Noise level was still in the quiet range. Will be a go to place for small gatherings of friends. Thank you!

The food was atrocious. The baguette was so hard, it cracked like an over cooked pizza crust when I tried to break it. The mussels were mediocre - too much pastis, extremely under seasoned, the beef bourgignon was super fatty and had whole peppercorns in it. The champagne was flat. A glass of white wine to get the taste out of my mouth never showed up, so I just skipped it and asked for the check. The worst part came when an angry diner started screaming at the server, and even started getting physical. He nearly knocked over my 8 year old son! My sister had to grab him and flee to the car while I found a safe spot to sign the check and leave. When the dust settles, I’ll be asking for a refund and will then never go back. P.s. this is as far from authentic French food as you can get.

Oh boy, I thought, this is going to be a french fine dining experience; it’s NOT. This is a good local joint in Culver City, CA. A bistro with a capital B. A whole in the wall that only locals may know of and may be missed if you walk by too fast. The food here is good, the drinks flow and the mussels “swim” out of the kitchen; a feature on the menu. Our appetizers were delicious and dessert was hot and tasty (the berry cobble maison could have used a scoop of ice cream). However, while my wife enjoyed her seared bass entree, that looked like an entree (green beans, potatoes, tomatoes and the fish) my Jidori Chicken Dijonnaise was poorly executed. The chicken, a small half breast was presented in bowl on top of a dijonnaise sauce that lacked any finesse. The sauce so overwhelmed the mushrooms and onions in it, that it was as if it had been poured straight from the mustard jar. If the recipe had wine in it, it wasn’t there. I suggest you NOT order the Jidori Chicken Dijonnaise. I would characterize the food at MEET in Paris as upscale bar food. A full bar is served and the wine list has a good selection. Come and sit where you can watch life in the city go by. Expect to pay $50 -$75/person. It’s a comfortable place with good service and 14 years of experience. Though fine dining it is not.

The mussels in garlic and escargot broth were excellent -- perfectly cooked and succulent. The truffle fries were very crisp and delicious, although we found the topping of large parmesan shavings rather odd. It seems like the parmesan should be grated or shredded. Caesar salad was tasty, but very heavily dressed.

Meet in Paris was great for planning a bridal shower over dinner. My friend ordered the bowl of mussels and I ordered the sea bass tacos (comes with 2) and truffle fries. The service was great from the host to the server and everyone in between. There was live music that felt like we were in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The place was lively and packed inside and out, but it didn’t interfere with how well the service, timeliness and how delicious the food was. Definitely recommend coming here, and making a reservation!

Over the years I think this place has only gotten better. At this point their food is fabulous, as is the setting (particularly the outside patio) on a balmy night. Don't miss the live music on Thursdays if you like spirited renditions of 1930s standards.

The baguette was very tough, the butter was very hard. The croissant tasted like it was microwaved. The croque monsieur was cold. Staff was great and friendly but the chef needs to work on a few things but this place has potential to be a great French restaurant. The people were so loud and multiple dogs that would not stop barking. Not the fault of the restaurant but they should at least kick out the drunks or ask them to not scream and speak at a normal level.

24th wedding anniversary. Sitting outside at a high table was much better than the tight squeeze and high noise level inside. Service was attentive but not overbearing, food was good, crepe tacos with strawberries were a bit off; strawberries were not that flavorful, perhaps banana would be a good option. All in all, a pleasant dinner for both of us.

Great dinner, flatbread and scallops delicious, on the patio by the fireplace. Server didn’t ask if we wanted bottled water if asked we would say yes but he brought 2 glasses of water. We wanted the share the flatbread first and then ordered the scallops as a main while trying to decide on another main course depending on the size of the servings, not in hurry but we were given both dishes at the same time! Small little things that make the difference between average/minimum service and great service! Cheers.

While the service was excellent, the meal left a lot to be desired. The $16 Onion Soup was overpriced and very heavy - too much cheese and onion and not enough liquid. The steak was tender but tasteless. Fries were good. Steak Tartare was good. Mussels in lobster sauce were just OK (they used to be a lot better). The Duck Confit was good but not great.

About our NYE experience at this fake Californian French restaurant called Meet Me in Paris: 1. We weren't aloud to take the corner table because it was supposedly only for 5 people, right after us only 2 people were seated at that table. 2. Prix Fix Menu for NYE- Great menu only if it was true, false advertisement! One of the starters Foie Gras - What? Foie Gras?? Salty mushrooms in a heavy sauce. I guess they always underestimate the population of our provincial California lol 3. Wine tasted weird, I bet it wasn't the French wine I ordered. 4. We were rushed like it was a marathon, they tried to take our plates away without even asking. 5. The waiter made a tacky comment about my ring and even asked if it was a real diamond?? Where did you lose your manners? What happened with social etiquette? 6. One of the entrees was ok, Fillet of Sole. Conclusion: It was a very expensive price to pay for a CHEEP menu and BAD service. Nevertheless I paid in full and even left a good tip BUT even then the waiter managed to mansplain me how to leave a custom tip on the CC machine.

⚠️ SCAM & MISPLACED BEHAVIOUR ⚠️ Summary of that review : They sell a prix fixe menu but they substitute the expensive and qualitative product for cheap options. No gesture of goodwill, they will treat you like an outcast if you try to find a solution ❌ Well, do not expect a good experience. We went to that place for New Years Eve with an amazing menu (cf Picture). But the menu is like a dream, nothing is real. Foie Gras ? no more available ❌ St Jacques ? no more available ❌ We explain that we don’t like the only option available (lobster) and they offer … Onion soups. Well, going from high quality and expensive food to the cheapest French cooking. We suggested to switch the starters for cheese as Onion soups is not « fancy » for a NYE. They accept. What a surprise, we were two and they give us ONLY one cheese plate to share. From 2 Foie Gras to a cheese plate at 19$, it sounds like a scam. Then I ordered a Diet Coke, guess what ? no more available ❌ We finish the meal and the bill arrive, what a funny surprise : - We paid the full menu at 79$ even if we didn’t had any starter - They « pretended » offering the cheese which was a CHEAP and SHARED substitution to our starters. I kindly request a gesture of goodwill and guess what ? The manager explained to me that we are the only one to argue, everyone accepted the onion soup without saying nothing. The manager told us that he will do a gesture of goodwill in order to get a good review from us. We declined the gesture and paid the full bill. in order to let this review without any pressure. When we left the restaurant, 2 tables next to us said they were feeling the same : Bad services, fake menu but they said nothing as the waiters said there is no others options and they were stuck as it was NYE and all restaurants were full. Conclusion : We paid an expensive price for a cheap menu. However the food was good but was not worth that price. I do not recommend that place.

A nice Sunday visit for lunch. We had the French onion soup, a chicken pesto panini and the burger with blue cheese. Everything was great except the burger. They put the wrong cheese on the burger and we had to send it back for blue cheese. The blue cheese was heavy handed and dominated the burger where we couldn't even taste the beef or the beef totally lacked flavor. For me the cheese is a supporting character to good beef flavor and shouldn't be the star of the show.
