It was a lovely restaurant. We sat outside and the heaters were on, so the temperature was very comfortable. our waitress, amazing, attentive (but not too much). The only thing I would say was I ordered the salmon and the piece was quite small for the cost ($21). But otherwise a fantastic evening.
The music they play is way too loud could hardly hear the conversation we had with our friends. I asked the waitress to Lois she said management wouldn’t allow it
The food was excellent, service was spot on and the vibe is friendly. I will definitely be back!
Still one of the best little gems. I was excited to see the huge amount of additional seating from the pandemic as I hadn’t been back since then. The food was still excellent as usual and the bottomless mimosas are a great deal.
Many interesting choices on the menu. Will go back to try some more!
I made a reservation for Friday at 6:45pm for 5 people including myself, my elderly parents, my sister and my brother-in-law. My folks were the first to arrive. They were affected a table inside which is a quite small and noisy area. They asked for a table outdoors which they thought would be quieter. We enjoy having conversations while we dine. I arrived next and noticed that there was a speaker directly above our heads. We kindly asked our waiter to have the music turned down and he said he would see what he could do. The volume was lowered for about ten minutes and then someone raised it. We again asked someone to turn it down. Same thing… after ten minutes the volume was back up. Finally I went to the hostess stand and yelled. That did the trick until the dessert course. By that time, we figured we’re almost done and out of there. The good points: the food was great, the setting was very nice and the service was good. Now if they could only fix the noise problem.
Food portions are very small- food was too salty.
Great place, been a while since covid i returned. But it's food, service, charm still remains as great
Love the food, the wine, and the servers are great!
Maybe I am a snob, but I am used to dining in the San Francisco Bay area. Those areas master the culinary arts and they don’t start from the plate. They start from the moment you park your car to the person who greet you when you show up at the front desk. The lady greeting us was not enthusiastic and had no energy about her restaurant and was not happy to seat us. They were more concerned about selling their 30% off wines. The server would not talk about their beer because their beer was out of service but she was more than happy to nag us about bottles of wine that were on sale. The truffle fries came out and they tasted like plastic. Obviously they were sitting under a lamp because the Parmesan cheese was so hard and dry that it broke in half instead of being melted. They made an excuse about how that is just the way Parmesan cheese is when it’s heated. The beet salad was good but the goat cheese was not my preference. The bass was very dry almost like leather. The beer came in a wine glass and it was so warm. I don’t know what it is about LA restaurants but this place was not a four-star restaurant. They didn’t charge us for the warm beer, or the stale french fries. I still left a tip because I didn’t want them to think that I was just after a free meal. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless they were opting to go to McDonald’s. Can’t wait to go back to the bay area and eat at a true 5 star restaurant.
Food excellent, staff friendly and attentive. Wine list good.
Food was luke warm. Presentation was under average. Relatively small portion looked lost on a large plate. Duck tasted good. No hint of saffran in the saffran bouillabaisse. Just yellow curry. Service was great. Drinks were good. Prices were okay. Would come back, but prob just for drinks and appetizers.
They service was PHENOMENAL, and made our first outing since the pandemic hit an awesome experience. I am wheel chair bound and the restaurant took the time to call me prior to my visit, allowed me to get to the restaurant early, and made sure I was seated comfortably. Thank you so much!!!
Long wait for food, seated 15 min after reservation time
The food is good and ambiance inside is quaint but the makeshift outdoor seating is awkward as traffic zooms by and shakes the canopy causing a bit of uneasiness in your dining experience.
I had the soupe à l’oignon, bœuf bourguignon and profiteroles! The soupe à l’oignon was perfect, exactly the same delicious soupe à l’oignon I used to eat when I was living in Paris. The boeuf bourguignon reminded the one my mother used to make during those family winter weekend meals. The profiteroles were good. The cuisine really is what you would have in a French bistrot and is a great place to go to when you want this experience.
Excellent food and service.
As always, the food was delicious. My dinner companion and I both selected the Dine LA choices and were not disappointed.
Mussels are still very good, but they stopped doing all you can eat mussels (and server seemed very surprised that I didn't know about it). Prices are high and portions are not great - paid $15 for two tiny crab cakes. Outside dining right next to the cars racing down Culver Blvd.
Almost non-existent service. Servers were polite but not very visible.
We’ve been there before and loved it. If anything, the food was even better this time.
Excellent mussels. Great service. Nice patio. Pleasant.
Went there for Dine LA. The food was great and service was wonderful. The French Onion soup was the best I had in a very long time. They have a happy hour menu until 6 pm (weekdays only I think).
Great waiter. Wonderful service!
Food was well prepared, entrees could’ve used sides though. Service overall was good, but were not advised that the offered banquette was $3 extra.
Both my friend and I would drive 100 miles for the fabulous goat cheese and beet salad! Delicious. Also enjoyed the blue cheese burger and frites! Have to love the fun chill vibe of MEET IN PARIS. Had a fabulous lunch with friends!
We went for their Dine LA event. The restaurant was very crowded, so we received little attention from the staff unless we deliberately called someone for help. Then they were quick to help, but we waited a LONG time between courses. Nothing we ate was remarkably good. The boeuf bourguignon reminded me of beef stew my mother made in the Crock Pot. I will not be returning here.
We had a well prepared, lovely meal at Meet in Paris this past weekend, The service was quick and professional. They have done a great job setting up expanded outdoor seating It was a very nice and casual dining experience. I best onion soup in town!
Good food but terrible service. We were there for over 2.5 hours (at lunch!) because service was so slow.
Unfortunately, the entire restaurant was seriously understaffed so we were patient during our 21/2 hour stay. The issue here is that the restaurant should have limited seating rather than to accept all comers without a warning that their orders would take a long time to arrive. Our server had a huge station and was overwhelmed but remained positive. After waiting nearly 90 minutes for our entree we received mini-portions of mediocre food (dinela portions should be normal size). The purpose of dinela is to expose a restaurant to new customers who would return. For the future, only accept as many patrons as you can serve properly. Limit seating. If participating in dinela, put your best food forward. It appeared with all of the additional seating, greed was motivating the evening rather than the desire to do what restaurants are supposed to do
The service was really poor for our overall experience. I made a reservation for 4 and was told they only had high-top tables or I could wait for a better table when I got there. Once seated, they only brought out two water cups due to a cup shortage and the waitress never took the initiative of helping us get more water. We had to ask the waitress to bring us water 2 times and she never apologized. We also saw tables right next to us getting served drinks or water by the same waitress who was serving us. The food was good but the side salad was soggy and the fries were overly salty.
It took 75 minutes to be served our appetizer and that was after I kept asking the waitress to check our order. We finally got our entree 90mintes after we placed the order. We were told that only 2 cooks were on hand and that was the reason for the problem. The food was excellent so I may try it again when DLA ends but if this happens again I will never go back.
It took 3 hours to fry our food and by that time, I lost my appetite. Food was good but small portions and way too long of a wait.
The main problem was that the management seemed to have drastically over-seated this evening, and there were extremely long wait times. Our reservation was for 7pm, and we didn't get entrees until 9:30, desert until 10:30pm. The communication about the delays was not very good, and the manager seemed unwilling to give many discounts or take much accountability for the long delays. The experience could have been much better if she was proactive in her approach, but she seemed to try to be avoiding the conflict / pretending there wasn't a big issue while multiple tables in our immediate vicinity were all clearly very upset.
Food was great!
But it took 30 minutes to get our order in and then 30 minutes for bread to come out and 45 minutes before each additional course. Then 20 before one of us went up and again asked for the check. General apologies were given by the person who finally brought the check, but nothing that felt like it really mattered to the staff.
Our service person was detached And disappeared often for long periods of time. Seems like lots of service people were around but not much food was being brought out. We can see many other tables were looking for their food as well. Saw a hungry gentleman picking the crumbs off the bread plate while waiting for his dish that is no where to be seen.
Overall the whole experience was NOT very good. Checking in was easy but the food took FOREVER to come. Our group was seated at 6:00, we placed the order around 6:15 and we got our appetizers at 7:30ish. Between this one hour, the waitress only came once to deliver our water and drinks, but after that, nothing!!!
The appetizers finally came around 7:30 but it was not hot. The wait time between the starter and main course took another 30-40 minutes. I was super disappointed that the main course was in a very small portion especially waited for so long. And some of the braised beef was still pretty hard, it was not cooked through. They rushed to give us the dessert without putting away the plates from main course. BUT the check came in right away. (The waitress sneaked in the check behind me, without asking how’s everything LOL, I think she knows)
I feel they overbooked their tables or maybe understaffed. It’s truly disappointing because I looked forward to try this place for a while. Unfortunately I don’t think I’d come back or recommend it to my friends.
We eat at Meet In Paris quiet often and always enjoy the mussels and the Happy Hour specials. We decided to go this Saturday evening for the restaurant week special menu.
All of the food was delicious. We had the onion soup which is one of the best we have tried, along with the lobster ravioli and the beef bourguignon-both delicious. For dessert, we had the profiteroles and berry cobbler- also excellent.
Our only complaint is that they charge you for the bread- it should come with the meals.
Rude waiter, food mediocre and the entire meal took 2 1/2 hours since no waiter was to be found.
The food was delicious and the place is cute. Much of the staff was wonderful, just not our waiter, who rarely came to check on us and always seemed as if we were bothering him.
Very good food
