Medium Rare is an award-winning, iconic, full-service restaurant famous for its French-influenced steak and frites (fries). The restaurant offers a three-course prix fixe meal, featuring a flavorful fresh mixed green salad, artisan rustic bread, hand-cut fries, and the main course—scrumptious Coulotte steak topped with a secret sauce. Medium Rare also offers a variety of decadent desserts, such as the 7-layer chocolate cake, the 7-layer carrot cake, and their legendary hot fudge sundae. Great service from our server Andy. Food was great and wine selection+desert selection went well with the set menu. Would reccomend.

The warm bread to start was truly delicious. The salad that followed was unremarkable (mostly butter lettuce and one sliced cherry tomato served with basic dressing). The two portions of steak and french fries included in the fixed price were small. I expected much higher quality steak (it tasted like top round). Service was very friendly and prompt, however, the server seemed more like a trainee. That’s not a bad thing in and of itself, however, it impacted the overall experience of dining out on a Saturday evening for a special occasion that was noted when the reservation was made. The steak was overly peppered and the special sauce was very pepper-y, and we asked for no pepper for the second serving, however, it still came crusted with pepper. The restaurant (unfortunately and unsurprisingly based on our experience) was less than half full at prime dinner hour, and music was loud and intrusive. I really wanted to give Medium Rare a good review because of the really friendly staff, however, after dropping around $115 (before tip!) for two lame salads, three pieces of bread, two drinks, below average steak, french fries, and no dessert, I can’t recommend it.

Great food and they wrap up your seconds if firsts were too filling. That was awesome. Salad dressing was delicious (we asked for intensive) and peppery gravy for the beef was so good! Pineapple Mule went down too easy…delicious. The fries were crispy and thin. My daughter didn’t like it too crispy but I thought it was fine. I was intrigued by carrot cake and key lime pie desserts but had no room!!! Maybe next time!

The steak just wasn’t good unfortunately and I have been excited to try this restaurant since it opened.

Food was great, steak cooked properly. Sevice left a lot to be desired. Staff seemed distracted and forgot to check on us, we had to find the manager to get the bill at the end... I think our initial sever ended his shift and the never transfered our table to another server... We wanted dessert and additional drinks but after being left outside with no one to check on us we decided to take our money and spend it somewhere else afterwards. We were looking forward to this place for months but the whole experience left us with a bad taste.

We have been to MR several times and our server Andy made our night extra special. He was very attentive and walked us through all the drink options we had. He always had a great attitude and was a delight to talk to. The steak was great per usual and we had a wonderful night. Until next time!

If you make a reservation, they do not actually reserve a table for you. We came on time for a reservation and the hostess said “sorry a bunch of people showed up right before you.” I was speechless. Don’t let people make a reservation if you don’t reserve tables! She said there were people finishing up and it would be twenty minutes… we decided to wait and were given a table 45 minutes later. I asked what was going on and she said they couldn’t make people leave even if they were done eating and not ordering anything additional. Actually, yes, you can! I asked when we sat if the entrees could be brought out quickly, the waiter said yes and they were brought 45 minutes later. This restaurant only serves one thing! I asked how long the second round would be and they said it would be quick and it was 35 minutes. Just tell the truth! The overall incompetence probably means I will never go here again even though the food is tasty and it’s close by.

IT IS EXPENSIVE VALUE WISE. SERVICE WAS OK - EXTRA ITEMS ARE EXPENSIVE AND TASTE IS BLAND. AMBIANCE IS JUST ABOVE FAST FOOD.

Good service from Sheamus, steaks cooked to correct temperature. But cheap, thin cuts of meat and overly cooked fries, over-sugary cocktails, and over dressed salad. Felt like a fast-food steakhouse experience.
