Love the food but service could be improved by asking employees to speak over the noise. Noting spilled wine caused by a wobbly table well before entrees arrived would have a been a good touch.

We had the best experience! We went for my husband’s birthday. I found MR on tiktok and knew that would be the perfect place. The bread was so crispy and soft. The salad was perfect. The steak fries and gravy were Amazing! My husband didn’t know about the second serving so that was a pleasant surprise! The service was top notch, everyone was so personable from the minute we walked in to when we left. I would drive another 3 hours from VA beach to have this place again. On the Portnoy scale we give this place a 8.7 🥳👌🏻

Honestly don’t go expecting an endless amount of steak and fries. Despite them being hella good and filled with flavor you only get one serving. Bottomless drink but you need food with the drink. Very price for the small amount of food you get. Took them forever to handle anything for us. I understand there was a rush but we should have to get the manger to pay for our bill. Nice people I don’t wish them harm but don’t go if you think your getting endless amount of food. Waste of time and money. Don’t believe Tik Tok it’s all lie

I have been to medium rare on several occasions, most of the time we sit outside. We go for the food, which is absolutely delicious, in fact, I haven’t found steak Frites that can compare to theirs. Service was wonderful, the only reason I don’t give it five stars is because the noise level Was too high. Maybe the acoustics are bad, but on top of that there is no need to play the music so loud. I don’t believe queen, prince, 80s rock is really appropriate dinner music. It made it difficult to carry on conversations and I just found it unnecessary for that type of ambience and Crowd. Other than that, we love medium rare, and will return, but hopefully we can sit back outside again.

The main meal, salad, bread, steak, and fries was delicious as usual and worth the fixed price. Service was very good, although our server was sometimes hard to understand. My one complaint is that our desserts, we each had a different one and although they were pretty good in taste, were not worth $12 dollars each. Overall we had a wonderful dinner experience.

The ONLY “issue” I had with my visit here was the serving size— it’s not that much food for $40 each person. Everything else was great. Our host was polite and checking on our needs often. I ordered a medium and got it more like medium well but it still tasted great. Overall would visit again.

I’ve wanted to try this restaurant for a while, every person I know that has been here had a excellent experience. This was my birthday dinner as noted on the reservation and my husband called and confirmed that it was noted on our reservation. We were seated quickly but waited a little while before being greeted, no big deal… we placed our drink order and our steak temperature fine whatever. Our server never really came by to check on us, we had to catch him in passing if we needed anything. My second serving was dumped on my plate while I was still eating my first serving which wasn’t ideal for me and everyone I asked said that’s never happened to them. I couldn’t even order another drink because I was ready to leave at this point. I don’t know if our sever was having a bad day or really just had a issue with us he seemed really friendly with everybody else however. This was an extremely disappointing birthday dining experience.

Had a great time at Medium Rare. No fussing over the menu, you get a fresh salad excellent steak with superb sauce, plenty of bread and frites. Our party split a slice of key lime pie and chocolate cake both delicious. Free parking and a reasonable tab topped off the night!

Food was good. Most staff very attentive. Our server was in the weeds so did best she could, same with host stand. We absolutely weren’t informed extra servings beyond the second incurred an extra charge. Waiter asked us if this was our first visit, and did not explain this piece. And if it was on the menu somewhere, it wasn’t obvious or overt. Restaurant needs to be more forthright with this info.

Hard to hear the wait staff or each other over loud music and noise. Why ask how we want our steak cooked when it is all the same to begin with? Salad was refreshing but extraordinarily salty. The enormous ice cream sundae was mostly whipped cream. Steak sauce was tasty and fries were light and delightful. Blackberry sangria tasted like cough medicine. The audio in the bathrooms — lessons in French pick-up lines — was hilarious.

Brunch is a pretty good value, especially if you're a drinker. I had the benedict and it was a bit too salty/rich for me. The toast it came on wasn't substantial enough to hold up against the richness of the steak and mushrooms. The French toast was excellent, however. Custardy yet light in the middle and crunchy (but not chewy) on the outside.

Exceeded every expectation - food, fun, value, and delightful details: French lesson in the restroom, the postcard to send to Francophile friends, and the “seconds” unasked for that arrived at the table. Serving Delerium Tremons on tap was a lovely surprise. And… they make it soooo simple to order. Gave us all more time to visit with each other rather than have to master the menu. Genius!
