The restaurant had a friendly vibe, and the staff were very welcoming. Just a heads-up—this place only serves one main dish: steak and fries. You start with a few small pieces of bread (three for two people), then get a basic green salad with no choices. It was fresh but nothing special. When the steak came out, it was really thin—so thin that I started wondering if the meal would be worth the price. The fries were skinny, shoestring style, and the house sauce tasted kind of like gravy, though I couldn’t quite figure it out. We thought that was the whole meal and were just full enough—but then the server told us a second round of steak and fries was coming. It felt like a way to make the portion seem more generous, which helped a bit. Overall the food was fine and the second serving was a nice surprise. The steak is served warm but the fries and eggs were cold. The sauce is nasty. For the price and the concept of steak frites, it’s reasonable but ultimately it’s the worst steak frites I’ve had. They didn’t even offer the second helping like they were supposed to.

Have always loved this place but tonight the bread was cold and not that great, the fries were soggy and the meat so fatty and chewy. The noise level was so extreme we couldn’t hear our writer at all and he couldn’t hear us,

Everything was cold, our waitress did not check up on us at all (we wanted to order wine), and the side of mushrooms was completely flavorless ($11 for cold flavorless mushrooms). Really disappointing
