Popular dishes include: haloumi involtini, pan-roasted chicken, eggplant tart, roasted beet risotto, shrimp & polenta, pan-seared branzino...
Never seems to have real service staff working.
First timers on a date night. The food was excellent. Will definitely be back. The only potential challenge could be street parking. We had a 7 PM reservation and was able to find parking one block away.
Amazing meal and ambiance. Beer and wine selection were top notch and cocktails are amazing. Run, don’t walk to Mediterranean!
Always so good!
Overall nice experience. Food was delish, coffee was good, once I got it. Only issue was time it took for me to get my coffee. 30 min is way too long, backed up or not. Preferably I’d like to drink it before my food comes out. When I asked about it, thinking maybe she forgot to place the order, I was told she was backed up, and that was it. I was sitting watching as this lady make the drinks and then take photos of them, maybe that was why? Priorities I guess.
I love this place! The food is consistently fantastic and the wait staff is amazing.
Thank you for exceeding our friend’s’ expectations! It was our second visit and their first to your amazing restaurant. They were especially grateful and pleasantly surprised that you’re gluten free as well as delicious!
My wife and I went to Mediterranea for her birthday. She has mild allergies and tries to go gluten free mostly. I often join her on that. Mediterranea blew us away. To be honest, you would never know it was “gluten free.” It’s an awesome place, with or without that moniker. We had the mussels, shrimp risotto, grilled vegetables and yellow rum cake for her birthday dessert. We had a sparkling rose Malbec that was interesting. We would have everything again!
A great find in a neighborhood setting. Excellent food, friendly service, nice atmosphere but not stuffy.
A little about me. My wife describes me as a curmudgeon. I think American BBQ is easily as great a culinary contribution to the world as Italy's pasta or French baking (that might be too generous). I like my steaks to be at least 8 oz, dry aged, and medium rare. Any time somebody says they're vegan, I deeply pity and respect them for denying themselves the most nutrient dense food on the planet in the name of principle.
Mediterranea is basically the opposite of this. Gluten free. Vegan options. Smallish portions. Definitely NOT influenced by anybody asking, "Where's the beef?" Focused on pushing the limits of their patrons' pallettes.
Despite this, when I go there on dates with my wife for dinner, it's typically a decent dining experience for me. If I were more into this genre of food, I'm sure I would really really like it, maybe even love it.
There is one exception to all of this: BRUNCH
The Sunday (Saturday?) brunch at Mediterranea is rock-solid. I'm still a sucker for Waffle House or Homegrown, but if you want a more sophisticated lazy-morning nosh, Mediterranea is a top tier destination. If it's a nice day out, try your darnedest to get seated on the rooftop terrace. And get the French Toast.
Being on an anti inflammatory diet, this restaurant is very accommodating to my special dietary needs! The ambiance is wonderful!
I love this restaurant! When weather permits the rooftop deck is great!
The restaurant is entirely gluten-free, which allowed me to relax and not have to scrutinize the menu for my options. Brunch was delicious and the baked goods made me not miss gluten at all. Our server even kept food warm for one in our party who was running late.
I feel safe eating at this gluten free kitchen restaurant. Thank you for your accessibility.
Meditteranea is our hands-down favorite restaurant, not only now, but ever. Never disappoints. Always wows guests we introduce to it.
Even though it is a dedicated GF facility, you would never know judging by the menu or the resulting amazing culinary experience.
I have celiac, so it is extraordinary for me to be able to order anything on the menu with the secure knowledge that I am eating without risk of cross-contamination.
We visited NYC recently and traveled all around the city to the dedicated GF restaurants. Mediterranea was better than any of them.
And, by the way, my husband – who does not have GF issues – is a foodie and it is his very favorite restaurant ever, too.
amazing brunch. great staff as always. we will be back!
Absolutely love this place, best healthy brunch in town to connect with friends. Can’t go wrong with anything in the menu!
Service was very good and the food was fresh and delicious, we have liked to see more options and variety in the menu. The staff and specially the server was very attentive and friendly and made the experience all that more enjoyable. Definitely we will consider coming back.
Allie was awesome. The cioppino was outstanding.
Great, as usual. We went early so it was very quiet and great to be able to have a conversation with my wife. Great apps drinks and entrees, the Rialto was amazing and so was the steak frites.
Great gluten free options
OMG, it was better than I anticipated. Will return. New face restaurant.
Delicious, veggie-centric food in a quaint, lovely, ethereal atmosphere. Cannot say enough good things about this place. If you are gluten free like me, this is a MUST visit. Everything made in house is GF!! I will be back very soon
Great brunch wonderful rooftop patio
A wonderful gem in Grant Park, off the beaten path, that never disappoints. It’s our go-to for all of our out of (and in) town guests. Always a delight.
Love!!!! Love! My favorite place to dine!
I’m gluten free and this is a gift!
Always love the food! The baked goods are a must for take home!!
Great ambiance. Beautiful views. Delicious food. I would definitely go back for dinner again.
This is my favorite place for a special meal for any occasion. The food is consistently good and the cocktails are great. The rooftop dining is the best. When I went last week it was in the high 80s at street level but a pleasant, breezy 10° cooler up on the roof.
Just like all the reviews say, really good restaurant overall. We were there for Sunday brunch and it was excellent!
We were a party of 8 adults and 6 kids under 6, a real challenge, the whole staff was wonderful from beginning to end and we had a great time. The kids had fun and the adults were able to talk and relax. Food was great as always. We will be back!
Enjoyable evening with friends. Great atmosphere inside and out. Food and service were great. Will definitely recommend and go back again!
Really nice options, the bread was delicious. I would skip the quartets/starters and just try all of the other delicious things. Artichoke, clams, turkey feta balls were all delicious.
Beautiful surroundings and attentive service would have made us come back and then we ate the food. OMG! Now it a new favorite! It was so nice to have a delicious option where I didn't have to worry about gluten entering my meal. The non-celiac folks in my party said it was great and they couldn't even tell it was all GF. We will be back and soon.
Mediocre food at best, with very little flavor. Service was very unwelcoming and slow. Booked this restaurant to sit out on their upper deck which come to find out is only open at night. This should be on their website. There is really nothing exciting about this restaurant at all.
Wonderful meal with plenty of vegan options. We will definitely return.
First time dining at restaurant. Very enjoyable, food was very good. Looking forward to dining there again soon.
One of our favorite restaurants. Hope it's in Grant Park forever. The food's always delicious, and Allie is always an awesome server.
Mediterranea is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. The food is great and, unlike many other restaurants, it is not loud, so you can carry on a conversation. It is good for dates and special occasions as well as a meal with kids. I am pescatarian, and their fish is always outstanding. My husband and kids eat meat and poultry, and have always enjoyed what they get. Plenty of choices for vegetarians, too. The food is prepared well and creatively. If it wasn't because we are adventurous and like to try different restaurants, we would probably eat at mediterranea on a weekly basis.
