Mediterra was a very pleasant surprise. We came for my wife's birthday. The ambiance is immediately inviting, and everything on the menu looked wonderful. The pastaless lasagna was terrific as was the tuna tartar. The cheeseboard was full of terrific accoutrements, but I confess that the actual cheeses were not the best choices. The veggie pasta was great, although it could have used a little more salt or seasoning. The striped bass was good, but we ordered it without the bacon or shrimp aioli, and that perhaps robbed it of some flavor. Service was very quick and courteous. It is not an inexpensive restaurant, but as formal dining goes it was reasonable. I would definitely return to try some other dishes.

We always enjoy coming here. Everything is great, from the welcoming at the entrance, the attention at the table, the drinks and of course the food. Mediterra is one of our favorite spots in town, without a doubt.

I was meeting a friend I'd only seen once in the last 40 years for lunch and Mediterra was absolutely perfect for the occasion! Our server was excellent - attentive without being intrusive. The food was SO good! Super fresh and flavorful. But, the aspect of our lunch that was most appreciated was the fact that we spent an extended period of time catching up and chatting and were never made to feel rushed or like it was a problem. Will definitely be back.

Pretty much everything that could go wrong, did! Server completely missed up order. Hummus was supposed to come with veggies but instead came with pita. Salads were given to the wrong persons. When questioned whether they were the right ones, server insisted they were correct only to realize she had no idea who ordered what. Bread that was ordered had to be asked for and eventually came after the meal was served. Salads were mostly greens and not fresh. The one that was supposed to have apples in it had a scant sprinkling of minuscule chopped apples which were barely perceptible. The vinaigrette dressing that the waiter assured we would receive was actually a creamy dressing (thankfully we had the good sense to ask for it on the side). Had to request oil and vinegar on the side. Throughout all of this, there was not an apology nor any attempt at service recovery. Last visit for sure!

The atmosphere is energetic and the service outstanding. We felt the Tapas was overpriced and portions small. For instance, Empanadas were $14 and we received two small Empanadas. The coffee was the color of tea, not rich coffee. This aside, we would return.

Excellent restaurant in downtown Princeton. Haven't been to college town since selling my Harvard Square apt couple years ago & loved the energetic vibe. Very good food (two person Paella, eggplant lasagna, perfect Cabernet). PERFECT waitstaff: greeted by name by gracious maitre d' and waitress was wonderful. My only issue: very noisy but I'm on the older end of the demographic so prob not issue for most guests. HIGHLY recommend otherwise.

Exceptional evening with new friends to meet and converse. We were able to pace the evening with initial drinks, a split Ceaser salad and cheese and prosciutto board. All were beautifully plated and delicious- the breads, cheeses and spreads elevated the broad and could be a meal itself. But, we jumped into the pasta and shrimp dish, empanadas, salmon and branzino. All are cooked to perfection and just enough portion. We did indulge in dessert- butterscotch brûlée , and expresso with ice cream. Wow! Glad we splurged! Delicious night with perfect service.

What a pleasant surprise. I picked a spot in Princeton to meet a friend from NYC, roughly the same distance from PA where we live. The menu influenced the decision very quickly and well, a great choice. The trio each selected different items: meatless (eggplant) lasagna, the chicken meatballs, and the shrimp spaghetti. Better names on the menu, but ALL delicious!!! No doubt we’d go back. Well worth the price of admission. And we highly recommend Mediterra if you’re looking for a refreshing break from the norm! (Btw .. reservations for lunch on Saturday recommended!)

We met people there for the first time. We sat at a hightop in the bar area. It was actually much quieter there. The food was very good. Some had special cocktails that they enjoyed. We were there for a long time and there was no pressure from the staff for us to pick up the pace and leave.

We love Mediterra generally but were a little disappointed yesterday. We go there for paella and asked them to cook it long enough to develop the crust (socarrat), The menu says to allow 30 minutes for the paella so we ordered appetizers and drinks and told them to cook it as long as it needed to get the socarrat. The paella came out in about 15 minutes - no socarrat. Disappointing...

Amazing food and great experience! My wife and I dined here for a subtle birthday outing and I was floored by the food and the quiet atmosphere. We really enjoyed our night out and didn’t have to worry about anything once stepping into the restaurant lobby. A+ on every level (and I recommend the Tapas for everyone!!!!)

Easy reservation on Open Table and they seated us right away (4pm on a rainy Sunday of course there were plenty of tables). Service was excellent, Huumous and pita excellent (Hummus great blend)... The vegetable tomato soup was quite flavorful and hearty I give it 9 out 0f 10 points. My dining companion had the shrimp coquettes which he said were good. Service was attentive and good.

I highly discourage you from getting the char patatoes for appetizers. It s was too charred. Everything else was fine. Great service. The seafood paella was excellent!
