Mediterra Ratings and Reviews
Mediterra was excellent, as always. The food is very good, the atmosphere warm and lively, and the service was outstanding. We were late for our reservation and had concert tickets. We were served so quickly I couldn't believe it; and we didn't even tell them we were short on time.
For a quiet romantic dinner, my first choice is Eno Terra. But for a small group celebration in a casual fun atmosphere, Mediterra is as good as it gets.
We were a group of six friends who visit with each other once or twice a year. The waitress quickly realized that we would want to be there for a while, and she communicated that she was not going to try to rush us out. We appreciated that, and tried to reflect that in her tip. She was professional, helpful, welcoming.
Food here is consistent and reasonably priced. It's a great brunch/lunch option.
My husband and I had dinner at Mediterra before a theatre performance. Loved it! Food, service, wine all great. I had the octopus appetizer - was grilled and seasoned to perfection. My husband enjoyed the salmon and I the rigatoni with wild boar sausage - so good! The service was attentive and the atmosphere lively but not too loud. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.
We dined at Mediterra for my wife's birthday. The atmosphere was perfect. Service was excellent. We enjoyed appetizers and entrees from the menu. Two of us shared the paella, which was fantastic. Everyone vaporized their entrees. We will definitely go again.
Our group goes every year for New Year's Eve. The service was excellent particularly given it's a hectic night as well as late in the evening. Portions were small but perfect given the numbers of courses. My husband and I also dine there throughout the year and enjoy the bar and small plates.
Food was good, service was good.
We ordered a lovely appetizer of hummus and pita, which was delicious. However...only 1 1/2 pitas, quartered??? Really???
We requested a bit more pita as we had quite a lot of hummus left. We were informed that it would be an additional $2. While I certainly could afford to pay that, I don't like feeling tickled and dimed to death. The restaurant should serve adequate pita with the hummus, or not charge for additional to finish the pita with. Should we have finished the hummus with spoons???
Other than that annoying situation, it was a nice lunch. I would go back, but would look a little more closely at the value--perhaps there are other things that would be similar.
We ordered their Paella for 2 people per the menu and added other entres to share. Without telling us, they converted it to Paella for 3 people and charged us more. It’s our special occasion and not worth complaining about and ruining our day. But that leaves a bad aftertaste for the way they increased our total bill without our permission.
Always great dining here, lunch, brunch or dinner. Danielle waited on us and she was friendly, personable, attentive but not over the top. Lots of other people helping out to ensure a great experience so awesome team work on display. Packed, as always, which speaks volumes regarding the quality of this establishment.
I go to Mediterra often and the food is always good. However the noise level was too much and every waiter who walked buy bumped into my chair. You don't have blinds on all of the windows and the sun was shining directly into my eyes. The winter sun can be blinding and I could hardly see the person sitting across from me. I had a terrible headache by the time I left.
I've eaten at Mediterra many times, and will continue to do so ... it's always a treat. This last visit I took my brother out for a holiday lunch. We each started with the soup special, a shrimp bisque. It was smooth, creamy, and flavorful. For my entree, I had the gnocchi, while my brother had the Greek chicken. Both were excellent. I had not tried the gnocchi before, but I would highly recommend it -- it was a perfect portion and had great flavor. We finished with cappuccinos and apple pumpkin crisp (amazing)! Service was excellent, as always.
If you haven't been here before, try it, you won't be disappointed.

We were there for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. Selections were as described and in reasonable portions. its very easy to recommend Mediterra with confidence. A return visit is assured.
Every year we go to Princeton to listen to the Westminster Choirs sing at the Princeton Chapel for Readings and Carols. For the past couple of years we have been dining at Mediterra before the show. They have an outstanding restaurant, with great food and the people are so nice there. Recommend for any occasion. We live in Shrewsbury NJ where they just opened up a new place called Albarino. We are eating there next Sunday.
