Medi Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
This was my second time back in 2 weeks! I first went with my husband for our anniversary then with girlfriends for our girls trip. The food and service are outstanding! The restaurant is very romantic and the garden is lovely. The pre fixe is a fabulous value and the tapas are wonderful! I highly recommend the salmon and the hummus. Thank you for 2 fantastic dining experiences!
Medi was a good spot for a get together with friends on a Sunday night- they have my favorite cocktail- Lychee Martini which is a rare find in Manhattan. We shared some a range of dishes including Lamb Kofte , Tricolore salad, Hummus and Pita and a plate of grilled vegetables. All were delicious. For a Sunday night there were only a few other tables filled but the atmosphere was light
A group of nine of us met at Medi. Late October and we were able to eat in the garden. Many exquisite tastes, fine wines, and great old and new friendships. Our server was perfect! Ambience amazing. And we witnessed a marriage proposal at the next table! What could have made this evening more beautiful?
Great Little Wine Bar! We decided to try the Medi Wine Bar for dinner before going to the theater, and wow were we impressed. The food was delicious...homemade pasta! Everything was fresh and amazing. Great Dinner Specials and Drinks. The garden is a little treasure in the middle of the city. Highly recommend!
Nice restaurant, very attractive and trendy decor inside. Also has an outside seated garden to the rear. Food was tapas style, small to larger plates for sharing. Very tasty and nicely presented. Loved the three style bruschetta. Muscles on toast surprisingly nice. The waitress recommended we did the three varieties and save money rather than just the two of the same style. Very good idea - all three delicious. Enjoyed the lamb patties too. Service, friendly and attentive, but not too fast - perfect for a relaxing occasion. Save room for dessert - the menu looked good but we were full. Would eat there again.
I dined here a couple of times when it first opened. The service was good, the food delicious. However, since then, the service has taken such a nosedive. I have rarely met a group that is so unpolished. On a hot day, the windows and doors should be closed so that guests can wait and dine in a cool haven from the heat, construction and pollution of outside. If, like on the day I was there, a guest is waiting for the rest of the party at the bar, it should not take almost 10 minutes for someone to offer a glass of water. Tables outside are too tightly placed, chairs knocking together, broken and collapsing. If guests want to move a table, the waitress should not berate them. Should the table you're serving be catching up in conversation, there is no need to come to them every three minutes to ask them if they are ready yet, they don't need pressure from you to order their food. If you offer the specials and they don't order it, don't ask them "are you sure you don't want any of the specials" - yes, they are sure. Guests are here for a good time, not added stress. They are also certainly not here to have your elbows and hands criss crossing all over their table. I will not be going back here, nor will my friends, family or business guests.
Been here several times and enjoyed each time, good food, decent service, nice atmosphere, clean, welcoming, etc...
However, when a sever drops food (ketchup) on you, I think that beyond an apology, there should be some sort of offering- a round of cocktails, a percentage taken off the check, or something like that.
We came here to celebrate my friends birthday. We were seated in the garden which was pleasant, but because it was a group of 5 we were seated in the middle of the garden where half the table elevated and shifted so it made it hard to eat/drink comfortably. Seats were very uncomfortable and low, it just made the whole experience of eating weird. Ordered the white sangria which was watered down and disgusting. It took forever to get our drinks and place our meal order. The drinks were horrible, but the food was good (no worth returning). Overall I would never come here again.
I've been here about 3 times. This was the first time in the summer. The outdoor patio is charming and in the back so you're not on the street. The food is always great and there are several plates for sharing. I'm dreaming about going back for the lamb chops.
My group of 7 enjoyed a birthday celebration here. Food was excellent. We all shared appetizers and entrees. Garden looked beautiful but it's first come first serve and closes at 10:00. We enjoyed the inside dining area until around 11:00. I want to go again with my two kids.
Have been here twice before and this evening was the best. Party of five - dined in the garden --perfect for the summer evening. 2 of the party were late but the staff were attentive and very accommodating- shared multiple tapas -- all delicious but especially try the octopus and the burrata if on the menu. Staff was excellent .
