We love Medi Wine bar. That's one of our top spot in Hell's Kitchen. We're never disappointed.
Great everytime we come!
Delicious food. Hummus and Greek Salad for appetizers, salmon and pasta for entrees and rice pudding and creme de something for dessert. All wonderful, as well as nice choices for wine. The portions are quite satisfying. Will return next time we go to the theater. Highly recommended.
All four of us found our meals to be exceptionally delicious. The service was attentive without being intrusive. We all agreed that we will be returning here again and again.
The main courses are very well served! You really get your money's worth. The place is really nice for any occasion. I tried the lamb chops and they were amazing.
I am extraordinarily disappointed in the experience I had at Medi Wine Bar. While the food was pretty good, it did not make up for the abysmal service we received. I had a 7:45pm reservation, did not get seated until 8:15 and did not order until 8:45. There was another group he got seated at the same time as us and had food well before us. It was as if my family did not exist. We were not the only group upset with the service as there was a man who very loudly expressed his discontent with the service received. While it may not have been the most appropriate reaction, I certainly understand why the man was raising his voice. I DO NOT recommend to anyone.
The Branzino and Octopus was some of the best we’ve ever had!
We had a large group after an event. Medi was very accommodating despite different members of our group showing up at different times. The service was extremely fast, professional, and the food was great. Would revisit next time were in this part of New York.
The portions were so incredibly small and very expensive. I paid 14$ for a salad that was a cucumber and tomato chopped up with some cheese. The pita and hummus plate was very small, as was the grilled octopus. Wine was good.
Really authentic cuisine with an ambiance that is delightful.
Two of our group of six chose the prix fixe option, all of us had good apps & meals.
Bottomless Brunch is a good and fun deal! Service is a bit slow, but the good is great!
Medi Wine Bar is a reliable wonderful experience! We enjoyed a great meal in the cellar on a cold night. Highly recommend the pappardelle al limone.
Fantastic spot to go before a show. The parents and I love this space and the food! During the warmer months the backyard is great. Get the homemade pasta- it’s fantastic
The food was excellent as was the service and the pretheatre dinner value was great!!
I’ve been there on a quiet, post-theatre Sunday afternoon for wine and appetizers and for noisy, busy pre-theatre dinner. Food great, nice wines, staff is amazing - efficient, pleasant, calm, accommodating. Considering craziness of Theater District, the food is tasty Mediterranean and prices don’t gouge. Thanks, Medi Bar.
Went there on a Tuesday night and crowd was light, most people were going to the cellar for drinks. Food was delicious.
My book club celebrated our 20th anniversary at Medi. The food was delicious. Some of us chose the pre-fix --- two pre-fixes are offered at a great value. Best was the whole table didn't need to do pre-fix. That doesn't always happen at other restaurants. The service was great, too. Our server was very nice and accomodating. We really enjoyed our celebratory dinner at Medi Wine Bar.
Birthday celebration was perfect!
This was a wonderful wine bar! The charcuterie plate was wonderful, wine selection was perfect and the oysters were fresh. Can not wait to go back!
If I could give negative stars I would. Menu doesn’t match what is on open table. Lamb tapas was a joke and not seasoned, Greek salad was more like tomatoes cucumbers peppers with no seasoning and 2 olives and a tiny bit of feta. Lame lame lame.
We made a reservation on open table and went here based on the menu and prices we saw on the website. However, when we got there we found out that the menu/prices on open table are from 3 years ago. Needless to say we were very upset as we were in NY for the weekend only and were looking forward to this dinner. Having said that, the staff was very apologetic and accommodating and the food was delicious. Overall would recommend but don’t look at open table menu.
The food at Medi-Wine bar was great and the atmosphere in the wine cellar was lovely. Unfortunately, the service was much to be desired. There were a couple of disappointing occurrences. When the food runner brought out our appetizers, instead of having us move the drinks, he pushed them with the plates that my martini spilled all over me. While they brought a new one, it was a very slow reaction, with no apology. Then, mind you we were on a client dinner, the waiter asked if we could move so he can get into the wine cage. We were ok because we assumed it would be quick. But the waiter didn't have a key and was trying to pry it open with a knife. We had to ask him to leave as it was taking so long for him to try to jimmy it open. Just very unacceptable.
The food was impeccable. It's really a shame because I would go back for the food, hoping for a better service experience.
We had a large group of friends who hadn't seen each other in a while, and this place was perfect. We were seated at a corner table downstairs, which was perfect. Even though the restaurant was crowded, we could easily hear conversation. The food was hands-down fantastic--from the luscious burrata appetizer to the tasty hummus. We ordered a wide variety of dishes--from pasta to seafood and all were perfect. The restaurant even picked up our dessert--a perfect creme brûlée. The food and service were terrific, so was the atmosphere. I'll be back in the summer when their patio is open!
Loved our Lemon Tagliatelle and OMG the Branzino! Went before the Cher Show (OMG as well). Great service - ambience and food
Went for thanksgiving brunch. They had special menu and regular menu. Food was excellent. Staff very nice. A little pricey but worth it.
They were super nice, food and service was great
We’ve been going to this place for over 10 years and it never disappoints.
Great atmosphere and great food. Even though the weather outside was cold and windy, it wasn't necessary to have this much heat on the aircondition. Quite loud, but acceptable considering how full the restaurant was.
Delicious food, good service, but a bit too noisy for a good conversation.
Great place for a quick meal. In good weather the garden is open and very nice for dinner.
The pasta dishes were outstanding. I had been here for drinks in summer and the outdoor area is lovely, but it's also nice in winter. Arrive post-theatre rush for a better choice of tables.
Not cheap but very nice food. If you're very hungry then you need two main courses per person. Very dark as well so get someone else to read the menu for you if you don't want to strain your eyes! But a restaurant is all about the food, and it was very nice of you forget about the price.
The waiter was wonderful the ambiance was amazing!
We will be back!
Great food and ambiance. Small plates. Awesome for lunch
A local favorite that never disappoints! Delicious food that’s unique from the typical brunch fare
Medi Wine is like home. My girlfriends and I have been going here for the past 6 years and it has been a tradition. we share bottles of wine, appetizers, dinner and dessert. Start with the delicious fresh bread with some olives. Then, you need to try the artichokes to the branzino and parpadelle. This place is our spot and we love it! Thank you for always an exquisite time.
Service was not good, been ignored
Good ok + but super small portion
Outside is where yo I need to try to be , nice patio
We have been at Medi many times in the past and looked forward to coming back for lunch. Unfortunately the jack hammering on a our Saturday noon reservation nearby made the lunch experience unbearable. At that point we only had been served tap water and I tried to get a table in the garden away from the noise which was sparse with people. There was a light mist and umbrellas were up. The waiter shrugged and said go look yourself and had a general attitude of “whatever”. We didnt make a big deal of it, just gathered our belongings and left. Medi needs more adroit staff! We found a great other option a few blocks away with live music.
Had a really lovely night with a large party (16) at Medi Wine Bar for a birthday. The restaurant was charming, the waiter (Kush) could not have been better, and everyone enjoyed their meals. (The gnocchi was possibly the best I’ve had in this city in years, but some ppl found the Cornish hens a little dry, if still very flavorful. Also, the octopus entree should really come with a side.) It’s hard to keep a party that large happy, and they did it. All in all, a really positive experience at a pretty restaurant. I would absolutely go back for that gnocchi.
