Great service by Carlos. The octopus and mussels appetizers were fantastic! Sitting in the back garden allowed for a quiet and intimate ambience.
Delicious fish and oysters. The garden out back is lovely. Excellent wines. Server was excellent. We will be recommending it to friends!
Madi was sad. Very expensive for such poor food.
Very attentive service and good food, would definitely come back here again for lunch.
Wonderful tapas. Which I had more room for the entrees!
It's about time their website took down their Prix Fix lunch menu. They don't offer it anymore and lunch can really mount up and is hardly a good value.
The outdoor garden is a little seedy and could be a lot more appealing. Maybe at night it would be more attractive.
Food is OK.
Service is willing and friendly.
The food and service was great.
Nice ambience and delicious food! One of our favorite places to eat in NYC.
Exceptional service, gorgeous view, plenty of space, felt very safe!
This was an overall excellent experience, with caring, attentive waitstaff and great food for brunch.
THE BEST MEDITERRANEAN RESTAURANT IN NEW YORK CITY!
What are my favorite neighborhood restaurants. Really beautiful garden as well as street dining. Terrific food.
Always enjoy Medi.
There is a pleasant garden in the back and also outdoor dining on the sidewalk. There is one dish that shines and I always order it--a large raviolo with an egg inside. Also you can get bubbly by the glass--it is an altogether pleasant neighborhood wine bar with a friendly manager and good service.
Enjoyed Medi a lot! Food was great, the wine reco was also excellent, & the service was impeccable. Will absolutely be going back here again!
Outstanding fresh food with great service all around. Highly recommend the grilled seafood platter if you are with two or more people. It is fantastic and grilled to perfection.
We enjoyed our meal of oysters, bruschetta trio, and bites trio. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, but the food came out inconsistently. Again the food was very good, but a little salty. That being said, we would definitely, try it again.
Returned after previous good experiences pre-pandemic. Food excellent, service very good. Prices have climbed significantly post-pandemic, so this is more suitable to a special occasion. But still an overall good experience.
There is no A/C on a 90-degree day! We should have been told.
Had a great time celebrating my birthday at Medi. Staff and food were great and beautiful restaurant. Great brunch!
Good place but a little pricey for average food in NYC
Excellent food and drinks. Friendly and helpful staff.
Swordfish was so undercooked, it was raw and cold in the center. Kebab had chopped up pieces of leathery rigid bay leaves in it that could have posed a choking hazard. Hummus combination mezze was so small in portion that it was served in soy sauce sized containers $18 ($22 if you wanted enough pita for more than one person!)
The meal was decent. We sat down and immediately ordered the octopus. After it came I asked the waitress if it was suppose to be hot or cold, bc it was cold. She said it’s served hot. To which I let her know it was cold, and that’s how it ends. It wasn’t brought back.
The food here is generally excellent, but...this time we began with two excellent starters.
We waited unusually long for the next course (which was o.k.), but by the time the two items came, the food had been obviously overcooked/overheated. My friend's pasta dish was huge but the pasta rather gloppy. (He's not as picky as I am about pasta.) My swordfish kebabs were sooooo overcooked that they crumbled. I love swordfish and it should be firm but not dry and crumbly. The waiter could not have been nicer. He offered to have it redone or to substitute it, but by then my appetite was gone. He very kindly did not put the swordfish on the bill. I will return (but not for the swordfish 😃 )
I also realize that patience is needed until restaurants can really get back to normal.
Had my birthday dinner there, wanted something quiet and intimate and with such a big table our waiter Kush was great and accommodating.
Everything was really nice my server Adriana and the manager was really nice, the place it’s small and cozy and the backyard really cute. Thanks again!
Food was outstanding. Best Bloody Mary. Mimosas weren't watered down. Our waiter Adrianna was wonderful.
Beautiful, Covid-safe back garden (and excellent outdoor setup out front, both inside and outside. Amazing service, great food/wine/cocktail selection.
Great food, back garden exceptional and fantastic service!
Too expensive. Food not good but cocktails great
Food was delicious. Service was attentive and courteous. Ambience was relaxed. Would definitely go again.
Great date spot!
The food is amazing and the wine list never disappoints!
Great food and service! Always great do dine in here!
Friendly wait staff, food was delicious and it felt very safe outside on the back patio.
Food was good but the restaurant was very understaffed and it took 30 min to get a drink
Except that the restaurant did not seem to be prepared for our reservation (seemed to be that they did not have it), the staff was friendly and service was good. The basement is a little cramped and there are a lot of plates and other service items stored all over the place, including behind us as diners.
I first stumbled upon Medi a couple of years back when my husband and I were looking for a pre-theater dinner. It's become my favorite place in the theater district. The food, a combination of Mediterranean influences, is consistently excellent, and the staff, mostly from the Balkans is attentive and fun (special kudos to Kush!). The noise level can get a bit high; on a recent visit with a friend who's a bit hard of hearing, I asked to be seated downstairs, and for most of the meal (from 6 to 7 pm on a Saturday night) the sound level was reasonable. The $35 pre-theater prix fixe I had first discovered is now $45, but it's still a bargain; on the recent visit I started with a mixed dipping tray with baba ghanoush, hummus and red pepper spread, followed by duck on risotto with blueberry and mushroom, and panna cotta for dessert. Add the Slovenian white wine I always get at Medi, and Kush as our waiter, and it couldn't have been better. Also check out the back yard garden in warmer weather, and be aware you can get just appetizers and do just fine.
