haven't been here in about a year cause last two times mothinator was not as in the past. tried again today, still not good. somehow it just doesn't have the oomph of years past. missing something. should be Rueben meets Cuban....No longer! bread gets too soggy (even asked for TOASTY) and flavor is flat. hubby had BLT, said it was OK. he ordered chips and got French fries. expediter missed it and so did the server. but he did like them. will be a while before we try again but mothinator has been put to rest. too bad.
Don’t sit under the stain glass windows. The reflect all the sound from the entire restaurant. Makes it very loud.
The menu is very limited. More variety would make this restaurant 5 stars.
The food and service was excellent. The decor is fun.. lunchtime was so loud that a lot of leaning in had to happen.
Great service. Great food. The duck wings were amazing.
Everything was great except the handicap parking. There is one van accessible spot which was being used by the valet service. This spot should be reserved exclusively for wheelchair van access. They had also blocked the striped handicap loading area with a car. This is illegal. We were told valet was full and we could try to find another parking spot on the back side of the restaurant. Not really helpful for someone in a wheelchair that needs the loading zone to lower the ramp to get out of the van. We finally lowered the ramp right onto the sidewalk. NEVER block the handicap loading zone or turn away a handicap vehicle from valet service.
Wonderful! Terrific! Best brunch I have had in Dallas!!
Sister restaurant/bar to Bird Cafe in Fort Worth. Attention to detail, interesting art and a wonderful menu make the Moth a great place for food and drinks.
I’ve been there twice for brunch, and the food and service are very good. My only complaint is the temperature in the restaurant. Take a sweater because it’s about 65 degrees inside.
Large group nearby..extremely noisy and disruptive.
Food was probably 3 1/2 stars but the fact you could order a variety of sharables was nice and the server was patient explaining them and making recommendations. Great staff and beer selections.
Great place for a laid back date with my wife.
Great place! Staff was friendly and helpful, our waiter made some great recommendations for us. Fantastic food and experience. I plan to revisit in the future.
Love the food, love the service.....it was just too loud to carry on a business conversation with colleagues and clients.
Four of us ordered 7 small plates, which proved to be plenty of food. Options were diverse, and several were unique.
Salad was overdressed and cumin the fish was awful tasting.
Great, low-key cool atmosphere. The cocktails and beer selection were very good. We had the campari tomato burrata shared plate as an appetizer, the rabbit pot pie and steak pot pie for entrees, the cherry cobbler for dessert and every bit of it was outstanding. I had the rabbit pot pie and so am partial to it, as it was the perfect blend of rabbit, fennel, swiss chard, and mushrooms and JUST GET IT AND EAT IT, OKAY...and my dining partner very much enjoyed his steak pot pie.
The waitstaff were very responsive without being intrusive. Highly recommended!
I love their selection of beers, something for everyone. I've never even tried their wine, the beer list is so extensive. Their mussels are just fantastic, as are the scallops and the bbq shrimp. Good but not outstanding - the rabbit pot pie and the burger. We always look forward to our meals at Meddlesome Moth....see you in a few weeks!
We came for Sunday brunch. Really terrific menu of unique food options, as well as a great brunch cocktail menu. We enjoyed both, will come back.
Being a Dallas native, I wanted to take my friends from out of town to an affordable, unique and delicious brunch place in an underrated part of town. Everything from the food to the service to the music was spectacular. It was my second time eating at Meddlesome Moth and it always leaves people impressed.
Solid. Will return
Loved the atmosphere. Great music, fun decor. Food was so so good. Will be back when in town.
Excellent food, great service, will be back!
Amazing food great staff
Food was great. Drinks were great. Server was awesome!
Had an amazing time. They have a great beer selection and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the Moth
Went here for happy hour w friends. Great selection of beer available, probably one of the best selections in town. Food is heavy and somewhat expensive but it’s worth it to pair with the delicious beer!
Reasonably priced brunch. Delicious! Great waiter!
Alexis was wonderfully knowledgeable as she walked us through our first visit. The beer flights mixed perfectly with delicious shareable plates, which made for a fantastic date night! Looking forward to returning!
No question, it is a true Dallas Gem! Have a bunch of the small plates! Fun! Great Food!
Great spot! Server was very knowledgeable, and was ready with recommendations for every question we asked. Food was amazing, and perfect for sharing.
We had several items: steak pot pie, Wagyu carpaccio, moth balls, and the special spinach dip. the pot pie was the least remarkable of the four, with the spinach dip being the most intriguing and best dish we tried. The Moth balls are very good, and the signature cocktails were excellent. As to the ambiance, the stained glass and the art on the walls were unique and made for a great feel, but the noise level with all the hard surfaces and the open floor plan made it extremely difficult to hear the server or each other. We arrived at 8:45 PM so by the time we were halfway through we could hear each other because the venue was about half full, but I would not come for dinner during prime time due to the din.
The food at Meddlesome Moth is amazing. Most of the clientele are the hipster/Millennial type, but once you get past that, the restaurant is amazing. Coffee is served in a french press, and was quite possibly some of the best coffee I've ever had.
I’ve had decent experiences, but the restaurant wasn’t memorable. It’s good for all occasions (but notice that I didn’t say outstanding or my number one recommendation). Simple, large room, mostly beer, and I’ve been two maybe three times and I can’t remember what I ordered. Again, it was good but not noteworthy.
Nothing stands out no wow factor maybe due to long Mother’s Day, very slow service and I am not talking about shareable service, table greet, drinks took Ect slow we were there for over 2 hours
Excellent food as always. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Usual louder atmosphere than some but that's the norm. Great Mothers Day dinner.
Great service!! A fantastic brunch menu, as always. Consistent quality of food and attention to detail. Had not been here in a couple of years but everything was still spot on, and exceptional.
Patrick, our server, did an excellent job of describing menu items and serving us. We particularly enjoyed our table with a view of the patio and the interior decor.
