Went there for my son’s birthday. Have dined here numerous times. A great restaurant with great food, service and ambience. I highly recommend it.
We have not been to this restaurant since they renovated it and re-opened in July 2019. What a change. Gone are the heavy wrought iron decorations and heavy furnishings and paintings and in their place is a bright airy, fairy lit romantic atmosphere. My husband’s pork chop was perfect and I had the sword fish. Swordfish is hard to prepare well, but the chef did a superb job and it was perfect. The bread is to die for and try to save room for the dessert. We will be back soon. Forgot to mention that the Greek salad was as good as what I had a few months ago in Greece.
This was my second dining visit with Mediterraneo in two weeks. I had dined there Friday 1/4/20 and had such an enjoyable time that I came back to treat a dear friend to a birthday lunch. The lunch choices were varied and plentiful and I was seated in the fireside room which is my favorite dring the coller weather months. Our server was excellent--pleasant, attentive and thoughtful. She had excellent menu suggestions which we heeded--the vegan quinoa bowl, and brought ice cream with a candle for my friend. Such a nice touch. The only small blip was that the host/hostess did not see my Open Table reservation in the system when I initially arrived to check in--I knew this was not an error on my end as I received multiple confirmations from Open Table about the reservation which I showed the host on my phone. Perhaps your staff needs just some additional training on how to handle. When I was told the restaurant did not have my reservation, I was a bit embarrassed. Fortunately they did accommodate me, but to avoid this from happening again, perhaps some additional attention to this would be helpful. Other than that I was extremely pleased and would dine with you again.
It is always a treat to eat here. The food is amazing ~ we traded up from Coin & Candor at the Four Seasons, as our whole experience here is much more rewarding!
Best lunch spot in town. Can’t beat ambience, service and food. Love the new look and new menu items so fresh and healthy. Best turkey sandwich on wonderful focaccia. Very affordable for quality. Dinner is also excellent and prices are on higher side but you get what you pay for. Love this place.
Our server wasn’t friendly .
Lovely place, great food... amazing drinks, great service+++
Newly renovated, love the atmosphere here and the vibe. There is a beautiful outdoor patio area, a fireplace patio area, a Tuscan wine room for dining, and the main restaurant. Each area has wonderful ambiance. The staff is perfectly friendly and attentive to everyone. Great bar. The tables and chairs incredibly comfortable. We enjoy breakfast here, lots of really great breakfast options. If you are in the mood for a burger, it is really a good one. The dinner entrees are all good. Overall, wonderful dining experience.
Sunday should offer a brunch and full lunch menu or at least an expanded lunch option section on the brunch menu
It was unpleasantly noisy. They no longer have a brunch menu on Saturdays at lunch time which was a disappointment to all of us. The food was excellent, but we wanted brunch and the noise level negatively affected our enjoyment.
Always a pleasure. Steaks are delicious, seafood is fresh my favorites are king salmon and branzino. Remodel is gorgeous service is good. Can get a bit loud but there is always a good vibe.
Excellent food, great service, wine list has reasonably priced wines.
Service was VERY slow. No one came to the table for about 20 minutes. We told the server we had a deadline to get to the T.O. Civic Center for a program. Waited longer for our orders to be taken. The restaurant was about half full on a Tuesday early evening. The side sauce for my swordfish was not brought. Asked again. They brought 2 different ones about 10 minutes later, when I was almost finished. Our friends both said their dinners were tasteless....pasta and a burger. The server asked about coffee and dessert when we had 20 minutes til we had to be at our program. Not enough time. I felt terrible, as I had suggested Mediterraneo. Our previous visits were all positive. Hope this visit was an anomaly. Now I’m hesitant to suggest it again.
We couldn't read the menu or see the food because it was so dark. Perhaps that's the ambience they were trying to create but it was way overdone. However the food was good.
I’d been looking forward to eating at Mediterrano for quite a long time. Since I live a distance away I never had the chance. Well, what a disappointment. Reservations went well for the three of us, but when we were taken to our table it was just a few feet from the sports bar..which was loud. Very loud. With three big screen TVs going. We had to lean across the table constantly to hear each other. Why couldn’t the bar be separated from the main dining area ? Secondly, it was so dark we could hardly read our menus. A table next to us with about five people all had to read their menus by using their cell phone lights. What’s with that ? The food was ordinary. Something you could get at any regular restaurant, but the prices were through the roof. I ordered the seafood peia which was about 40 bucks and what came to the table looked more like an appetizer in a tiny dish. Really not worth the price. I’m not going back and I’ve told friends to forget this place.
Our waiter was personable, friendly and efficient. The guys lived the prime rib. It was cooked perfectly, one of the ladies had the lamb dish and seemed to enjoy it very much. I ordered the Miso Cod and it was probably one of the most delicious fish dishes I’ve had in a long time!
I would go back there to have it again.
It was a very nice way to celebrate my birthday and the end of a year.
Mediterraneo is our go-to local restaurant. Recently remodeled, Med has beautiful decor, friendly and attentive staff, a wonderful menu of appetizers and main course, and wine & spirits to make the most discriminating connoisseur happy!
My wife and I had New Years Eve dinner at Mediterraneo, which was also our first experience at this restaurant. Nathan was our waiter and was an excellent server, as well as being a very pleasant conversationalist. The food (prime rib) was outstanding and the portions were very big. All in all we were very happy with our experience there on New Years Eve.
The restaurant was beautiful..‘service very good and great choices on the menu!
Outstanding! Great server and meal was amazing!
Very cute ambience with amazing butter cake for desert!!
We love Mediterraneo! Excellent food and wonderful service has made each visit a really enjoyable experience...!
I took my friend here for a birthday brunch celebration. The food was great, the decor was beautiful, and the service was wonderful. We had a great time.
Our table was next to a work station and noise generated from them was moderate.
Super salmon dish !
Fabulous remodel so beautiful with food to match . So classy yet approachable. Must try the branzino and lasagna. Salmon is also perfection simply grilled yet so rich in flavor. My favorite restaurant in the entire area.
This restaurant was fabulous. I loved the ambience. The prices were reasonable and the food was outstanding. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. I went for brunch, something I don't normally do (I prefer regular lunch or dinner). The brunch menu had a very interesting variety and it was hard to choose. I had the crab cake benedict and it was oh so very good! My friends had the asparagus and goat cheese frittata and raved about it.
Service was terrible. Almost felt like we didn’t even exist. Decided to spend our Anniversary and first night alone since having our son here for dinner. That will be the last time we do that.
This place is absolutely beautiful. This is the reason for the 3 star rating. Food was a disappointment. My husband's Salmon was not cooked properly and had no seasoning and he returned it and they STILL charged us for it. Also, I know it's minor but the waitress didn't bring us any bread until we asked for it. Beautiful place and ambiance but food was just ok.
This restaurant is part of the West lake village resort. Outstanding food and service. Beautiful setting very comfortable restaurant. Would recommend it to anyone
The renovated Med is beautiful but they are getting too big for their britches in my humble opinion. Mandatory valet was not necessary, the service ended up being quite slow and unfortunately we waited too long for everything. I will think twice before I make plans for our next visit because of this lack luster service and unnecessary higher prices and cumbersome valet...
Excellent food and great atmosphere. We sat outside with a view of the lake. Beautiful restaurant and great service! A little on the expensive side but worth it for a special occasion or to treat yourself
Everything was great, it’s just a VERY LOUD restaurant.
Two friends suggested we try Mediterraneo for dinner. We had heard rave reviews about the ambiance and cuisine. However, I wished I had known about the parking issues and the noise level before reserving a table. We could barely hear each other which may have been due to group parties, but still it is not the ambiance I expected. The service was excellent and the food we selected was good. Yet I wish there were more vegetarian options or more reasonable prices for your fish entrees.
We shared a Cesar salad that was excellent! I prefer the individual whole leaf presentation rather than the chief tossing it. Also had just enough dressing. My double cut lamb chops were juicy, tender and cooked perfect! Potatoes were fantastic no veggies included. My husband enjoyed his pasta dish.
I don’t know how this restaurant was rated $$? If you can charge $20.00 for a glass a wine you aren’t a 2 star in pricing! Also, sitting next to the awning wasn’t the best seat for date night! The patio is great when I meet my girlfriends but next time I’ll request the main dinning area for my $23.00 glass of wine including tax &tip!! I’ll be back for the excellent quality and presentation of my food!!
One of the noisiest restaurants I have ever been in. The necessity to shout across the table to my family was at first humorous but quickly grew tiresome and eventually marred the evening. The food was always at least very good and a few dishes were outstanding. Service was also excellent. But I expect a better overall experience on a tab that averages over $100 per person. Before tip.
Love their Salmon salad! Always good food and service.
Hadn't been since the remodel - they did a great job!
