Food, service and setting were wonderful! Never rushed, interesting and clever selection/format for cocktails, scallops and gnocchi entrees were exceptional. Very nice experience, would highly recommend it.
Always amazing. Try the chicken liver pate or the mussels. The ya-ka-mein is always great. This is becoming our weekly spot!!
Meal was great, hands down. Only suggestion would be the amount of sauce on the hanger steak was a bit much. While incredible flavor, the amount poured seemed a bit excessive - perhaps pour a little and offer it on the side in a small vessel on the plate.
Really stellar overall and will tell others about it!
Meauxbar was amazing. I requested a bottle of champagne at the table since I was proposing to my girlfriend prior to coming there for dinner. They were more than accommodating and even called me prior to the reservation to ask me what kind of champagne and let me know they will be ready for us.
Our server, Emily, was very nice and attentive. Food was good.
Duck fat popcorn is awesome!
Loved the food. Flavors were amazing!!!! Definitely going back again.
Outstanding across the board. Our best meal experience during a week in New Orleans.
Kale salad and escargot app were excellent. Steak au poivre came out cold. Then the sauce was crazy salty. Same issue with the yak-a-mein; so salty it makes you sick. The grilled cheese just wasn’t good - more beef than a cheese sandwich.
Cocktails and service were excellent. They comp’d the steak which was very much appreciated. Maybe we just hit a bad night???
Our neighborhood go to...cannot beat the staff, food and atmosphere!!
This is a must! Everything on the menu is prepared perfectly. You can’t go wrong. Lovely, funky, fabulously gritty with some old school glamour thrown in for panache.
Excellent service! Wonderful cocktails!
I always get the Gulf Fish Almandine and highly recommend the Duck Fat Popcorn (it’s better than you’re thinking).
Go! Go! Go!
One of the best meals we've ever had! Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were amazing!! Duane was great!!
This was our 2nd visit for brunch and it was as great as the first time. The food is outstanding and love the ambiance and service.
My Dad loved everything he had while visiting from Washington. The smoked duck was especially delightful !
Our party of six was thrilled with the quality of both the food and service and will definitely be back!
Perfection! Always an amazing experience. Scallops were amazing! Love this neighborhood spot! Service is amazing!
Wonderful meal! I cleaned the plate and walked out of there ready to dance!
Went for Sunday brunch before a 3pm Saints game
Loved the ambiance at Meauxbar, the staff is very attentive, it I am cosy and the food is just delicious.
Also, great wine and cocktail selection. Great spot for a date or to meet with friends.
Didn't advertise prebfixe menu for NYE. Duck came out cold. Service we very slow. The cheese board was weak.
Meauxbar is simply fabulous! The atmosphere is funky, low lighting, casual. Very much an artistic space with a nod too a bygone era of artists and writers (not sure why it feels this way to me).
Small, with a long bar and, apparently, even smaller kitchen; it amazes me how well organized and successful the staff is. The chef creates impeccable options and you simply can’t go wrong.
I, personally, love the duck fat popcorn and the Gulf fish Amandine.
Meauxbar is easily accessible if you are in the quarter, as it is on Rampart, across from Louis Armstrong Park. It is worth the few blocks walk to avoid the touristy spots and experience a local favorite!
Fun local bistro on the edge of the French Quarter on Rampart. Comfort food with a twist. Creative and seasonal cocktails, nice wine list. Went for brunch and glad we did! Had chicken and waffles, Fish of the day and delicious desserts!
This restaurant serves such interesting and excellent food. The service matches the food. It offers a change (a good one) from typical NOLA fare. I highly recommend it.
Meauxbar is a wonderful bistro. Our experience was a 5 star!
Overrated and the food was cold. I was anticipating going here for a long time, finally went and was sorely disappointed. The only saving grace of the night was the duck fat popcorn. Very interesting take on a common ingredient.
Meauxbar was really a nice meal and dining experience. Our table ordered 6 different dishes and each was was great, as we passed them around. Will definitely recommend this place and will absolutely return.
Server was attentive but we felt rushed and it was not busy. Pork belly app was good, chicken pate was ok and had WAY too much pate in relation to bread. Asked for more bread, it was clearly not received well by the kitchen and was burnt on one side and not toasted on the other. Flank steak entree was cold, we did mention it and they comped it. Appreciate that but we did eat it because we were hungry bland offered to pay for it since we did eat it. Almondine was good but way too much with too many almonds with nutty popcorn rice and a nutty flavored fish (sheepshead). It was cooked correctly as far as the fish. At the end the dishes really lacked a lot of finesse and even though we live in the neighborhood we will think twice e before going again. It was clear there was a change in management both FOH and BOH.
Recommendation without hesitation ! We loved the experience and we will be back!
The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
Meauxbar has been a staple for me when I go to events in the quarter. This visit reminded me of my earlier visits, which were very good. With the exception of some challenges in previous times, this is a great place in the quarter. The food is consistently good and the service is equally as nice. Thanks for returning to be the place that I've enjoyed over the past visits.
