Tasty coq au vin and a good rosé
Brunch options were amazing and delicious. Interesting takes on popular dishes, top notch service, and not so touristy more of a local kind of place. I will definitely go back here when I am back!
Meauxbar is my favorite restaurant in New Orleans. I’ve lived here for over two years now and these guys are just Awesome!
The service is casual, warm and knowledgeable. They’re eager to offer suggestions, favorites and are thorough in their descriptions. The atmosphere is, again, casual but chic. Kind of like a time warp smash up of old and new. Deep colors, perfect lighting and an artsy vibe make me feel both at home and expectant. Meauxbar is small so make a reservation!
This is the first time I’ve gone to Brunch. I decided to phone it in with my cravings for fried eggs and bacon, but, was delighted, yet again, to get the best damn (breakfast) food I’ve had in NOLA to date! Yay!
Go anytime, but, I recommend a dinner date on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and their Fish Amandine is life changing! An absolute must!
This place serves up Happiness!!!
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant away from the hustle of Bourbon Street. The escargot is to die for and the service was absolutely top notch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking great foodie food in an area untouched be the usual touristy NOLA.
Solid food even with limited menu. Their appetizers are rather expensive for what you get. Most ranged $15-$17 and didn’t equate to much food. Good cocktail and wine menus. Overall good experience just a bit over priced.
Nice take on basics such as the pate, escargot, and flank steak, the latter was very tender despite being under the ordered temperature. Frites were perfect. Well done all around.
Excellent food, very cute romantic place but a bit crowded. Although it was during coolinary and decadence. Great place for a fancy cocktail or date.
Food was okay, each dish was missing something. Liver paté was just bad.
We were a group of six dining for brunch. The service was great and portions were generous. We enjoyed the mimosas and craft cocktails.
Food was outstanding. We had the steak tartar and snails. Yum!!
Service could not have been better. She was attentive and engaging.
My only ding is the noise level. The music is waaaay too high. Very hard to hear people at my own table.
Mgnt can easily fix that.
Great food. Attentive service. Outstanding Coolinary Menu. Possibly the best chicken liver mousse I’ve ever had!
Had a lovely dinner at Meauxbar. Excellent food, quaint, comfortable dining room, excellent service. We'll definitely be back.
Everything was amazing!
Had the beef tartare and escargot for appetizers. The beef tartare was a bit on the oily side. The escargot was amazing. Funny, but it was better when we switched the chips to eat with the escargot and the bread with the tartare. Had the grilled lamb and french onion grilled cheese for the main course. The grilled lamb was disappointing, with the veggies being under seasoned and the lamb over seasoned and in various states of cooking (some were really overcooked). The grilled cheese was amazing! I will definitely order that again. Finished with the chocolate tarte and the mousse. Both were amazing.
It was the best Coolinary dinner we have had in town. From drinks to desert everything was outstanding.
Went with a party of four during Coolinary month for brunch. Amazing food and a great value for $20 on two courses. Definitely worth going at full price.
Overall a wonderfully experience. I would skip the desserts. The desserts were mediocre, everything else was gourmet.
Amazing. Went two nights in a row because we loved it so much. Best calamari I’ve ever had.
Always a great experience and delicious food all around.
Meauxbar is a favorite of ours. The food is bistro-style and healthy; always with delicious fresh vegetable dishes. The waitstaff and bartenders are kind and fun. The wine list is well-curated. Meauxbar is an intimate jewel in the French Quarter.
Really good drink menu
Food was outstanding
It’s awesome!!! Nuf said
This was my second visit and I really like the place, however, their wines-by-the glass are pretty substandard and could use some revision (in fairness, I only had two whites and no reds. There were 3 other whites I didn't try).
All else was excellent.
Meauxbar is consistently delicious and the service is always top notch. The food is really upscale (but it’s not overpriced and portions aren’t small). Highly recommend to locals and tourists alike.
I do not often get to eat at fancy restaurants. My dietary restrictions prohibit eating most items on menus. The staff at Meauxbar however make me feel like I am valued rather than obnoxious. The meal I had fit my parameters such that I didn’t get sick and was also one of the best meals I have ever had. Curry soup with pea salad and zucchini, broccoli, okra and chickpeas with cashew cheese. Omg I’m in heaven! I cannot thank Meauxbar enough for meeting me where I am at and treating me so respectfully. I love Meauxbar!
Fantastic menu, creative drinks, perfectly timed service. This was my first time here and I intend to make up for lost time whenever I visit New Orleans in the future.
Best piece of fish I’ve had in years. Waiter was attentive but not intrusive. Good speciality cocktails - and a nice laid back ambiance in the restaurant.
This is lovely small local restaurant. It’s a small menu but everything is done well at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We visit there every time we’re in New Orleans
Best of New Orleans restaurant!!!!
You must try it évent if t is a bit expensive.
Vert good cocktails also
Meauxbar is one of my favorite places in the city. I went with an out of town friend. I told her that we had to try to duck fat popcorn and the deviled eggs as appetizers. She was skeptical to try "popcorn" and "eggs" at a fine restaurant. She loved them both and couldn't stop talking about how good they were for the rest of her visit. All the food and service were excellent as usual.
Great quiet place to get a breather from the rest of the French Quarter. Good wine list with a lot of Spanish and Italian options. We had the escargot, okra, duck, and lamb. The duck was particularly lovely.
Consistently a spectacular experience! The drinks are perfectly executed, service is gracious, and food does not disappoint. Highly recommend.
We are locals and eat at several restaurants in the French Quarter. For some reason we had never been to Meauxbar. On a recommendation from a friend we tried it out and we were not disappointed. The service is very friendly and the food is outstanding. It is a small place and the word is out that it's great so make sure you have a reservation. You will not be disappointed. It will be on our regular rotation going forward.
obsessed with this spot. ambiance, food, service, cocktails are amazing.
Great food and good service. A little short of the true French experience and pricey but the chef knows what he/she is doing.
This was our first time there for brunch and we will definitely go back. Everything we ordered was excellent and the portions are large. Also, a good wine list and, of course, a full bar. Highly recommend it.
The food and drink preparation was excellent. Service very good and attentive, a little expensive. Had experienced problem with dessert, but wait staff recified. Very eclectic, comfortable atmosphere.
Dining in New Orleans is always a treat. The restaurants tend to have more reservations than other times of the year. However, the quality does not go down. Meauxbar was great as usual. The menu had a few substitutions, but the service and food were great.
As always, the food and service were great.
The tables are close together and the noise level can be very high. That improved as a few people finished dining and departed.
Started with the duck fat popcorn, escargot, and sweet breads - all were fantastic! Followed with the gulf fish special which was equally as delicious. Overall great experience.
